Amazing place. Its a holy place. Very peaceful place but i would surely warn everyone there are some people who keep on asking you money there. Those places are quite vulnerable to getting things lost. Be careful. Rest the place is good to click photos. Also it is feasible for conducting many pujas over there like for the late ancestors or even offering the hair of kids to God. Its has religious importance in Puri. Sitting beside the puskarinee is very peaceful.

Narendra Tank is one of the largest tanks in Odisha, is a holy tank situated at Mauza Dandimala Sahi in Puri. The tank was built in 15th century AD by Narendra Dev. Also known as Chandana Pushkarini, this is the holy tank in which the famed Chandana Yatra of Lord Jagannath celebrated annually where big and small deities are taken out of their temples and floated in the pious water of this lake. It is then followed by a boat ride called “Chapa Khela”. Hundreds of visitors come over here to witness this elaborate religious ritual.Narendra tank is enclosed with a variety of big shrines. Overall the tank protects 16 ghats which offer a chance of the pilgrims to have a sacred shower. This tank is situated at a range 2 km from the Jagannath forehead which allows the guests to have quick entry to the river. The main attracting point of this tank is a small magnificent temple of ChandanaMandapa located in the centre. Tourists may visit Chara Ganesha, a small temple situated close to the Narendra Tank, where one can worship Lord Ganesha. Another famous attraction, Brahma Jaga, located on the eastern side of the tank, is a not to be missed part.

Some say that great personality (narendra) King Indradyumna made this pond for the pleasure of Lord Jagannatha during His Candana Yatra. Candana Yatra is also known as Gandhalepan Yatra (Gandha means fragrances, and lepana means to smear the body with oils or pastes).
