Only Buddhist temple in Puri. A beautiful place to visit on any day. There are a lot of artist who are working on stone carving. They are very dedicated team and very focused. You can see the work if you go early morning around 7 AM. Hospitable workers. Must visit if you are in Puri.

It’s a Japanese temple in puri. Beautifully crafted with Japanese Buddha Images and Idols . and intriguing beautiful example of Japanese architecture in Puri . Also one can see various scultures and idols carved from stone or wood at the exhibition on ground floor.Please visit these place. Book a local driver to visit these nearby places & attractions of Puri.It’s worth of visiting as you will see how idols are getting hand crafted from wood or sand stone.We loved this place.❤️❤️❤️

A small temple but pleasant

I love this place. Soooo peaceful and you can start chanting the mantra.

Place is good but a very small place other nice to visit to offer prayer to lord Buddha

We have a terrible habit of naming Buddhist Temples as either Chinese or Japanese temple. If it is located a little away from the tourist frequented area then first of all it is difficult to locate it and after reaching it you will find it difficult to fathom whether it is Japanese, Chinese, Tibetan, Sri Lankan or Myanmar’s. This temple in Puri suffers from the same problem. But from the Japanese (?) inscription I suspect that it is another ‘Nipponzan Myohoji’ – a Japanese Buddhist Monastery founded by Nichidatsu Fujii Guruji, An intensive search including the official site of ‘Nipponzan Myohoji’ did not throw any information about this Puri Temple or Monastery. But their Dhauli Shanti Stupa in Odisha is well documented. Well my impression of this place is that it is beautiful, serene and peaceful, especially in the evening it glows. Do visit it for the ambience.

Beautiful Japanese Buddhist Temple. Great place to see the the live demonstration of sculpting & traditional sculptures ranging from Hindu God and Goddess to decorative artefacts for the beautification of surrounding...

Wonderful sculptures of marble are made and sold here at a very reasonable price..you can also have a look around the temple and the showroom... Its pretty good ...
