The masjid is situated in Kakkamvelli of Nadapuram. It was a sarambi,but later believers decided to transform it into a Juma Masjid. At the inaugural time, the Khateeb or preacher used to speak in Arabic while the custom of other mosques are to read from Nubatiya Khutuba Book. But a Sayyid, popularly known as Charad Thangal opposed that, so he rolled back to reading and due to his reformist ideas were not conducive with the orthodox position of locality, he went out and joined in Nandi Darul Huda as Mudarris. Now Vannarath Abdul Raheem is the Qadi and Mudarris. Food donations in Rabiyul Awal and Rabiyul Akhir are special to Vannarath Juma Masjid.
