I would start with the warm feeling and happiness that we felt visiting here rather than taste. First we were astonished to have found Indian restaurant in punta Cana and during my weeks of vacation here I was craving for my Indian food.Pranama has not only fabulous taste but had a wonderful owner who gave us warm welcome and great hospitality. He made us feel like home. I am a happy customer and would recommend this place. Neat and clean outdoor dining and fast service.

Must be one of the most delicious experiences ive ever had! The mixture of flavors, the food, all of it, authentic indian food for sure. The got a wyde variety selection of alcoholic beverages as well. Please note: it can be a little pricey, but worth it

This spot was a pleasant surprise. Food was REALLY good, perfectly spiced (note that the hot sauce is no joke), with fair portion sizes and friendly staff. Option to seat both inside and in a terrace. Music was fantastic, with lots of sitar to set the mood and match the colorful decor. This is a place I not only recommend, but I can definitely go back to!

Saw the owner Krishna from Hyderabad, India on Mountain trekker youtube channel. Seems to be good Indian restaurant in this place.

Stuck at an all inclusive but escaped for a few day and found Pranama. There appear to only be a few Indian restaurants in the area but after finding this one there was no need to look any further. The food was AMAZING. Best I have had since visiting southern India years ago. The prices were very reasonable for the area and you can get local drinks made there. The only thing missing was Kingfisher Blue but they had a very nice local microbrew. You will not be disappointed.

Absolutely amazing food and a great owner who knows how to take care of his customers! We ordered delivery half an hour away and the food was warm when it was delivered. The owner (Krishna) is quite responsive and he even called me to find out if the food was delivered! The food was quite delicious and there was no single item that disappointed. We tried shrimp and chicken curry with garlic naans and white rice. The taste was more authentic than its US counterpart. It wasnt catered to a western audience. The food was prepped in an Indian style. The spice level was optimal and the food was delicious. The outdoor ambiance great. We also got to meet the owner and the chef, Krishna. He seems like a nice guy with a good sense of humor. Overall, it was a great experience and definitely recommend it to anyone looking to try Indian food on the island. Giving 4 stars because I think the service could have been a little faster given we were the only customers at the time.

I chose to visit this restaurant based on reviews and while the food is really nice, I found the service to be rather lax. We went early in the evening when there wasnt much traffic and hoped for more immediate service. Its a good choice if one is looking for decent value in a tourist neighbourhood. However if you are looking for true authentic Indian, this isnt exactly it.

This man is incredible! He speaks 7 languages, is super friendly, and went so far as to make my friend something dairy free (because she is lactose intolerant) in replacement of the naan that he offered the rest of us! Also I got the blackberry basil mojito which is ABSOLUTELY amazing! Lastly, he can carry a conversation with anyone... Our experience was fabulous, the food was delicious. Bold flavors and the staff are very friendly. Everything was delicious, the way this chef cooks is nice. He adds little Dominican flavors to the dish. If you are in PUNTA CANA and want Indian food this is the place!

It was a really nice experience. Authentic India food. Loved the food. Prices were okay. Krishna is a nice host and takes care of the guests. Felt at home. Food is not too much spicy. You can ask to make it spicy if you want. Level of spice is good for visitors from all over the world.

We werent looking for Indian food in the DR, but Im glad we happened upon Pranama. The chana masala and daal tadka proved to be two vegan options that were both perfectly spiced while being completely different from one another. The arroz limón and samosas were fantastic, too. The fact we ate everything before we remembered to take pictures should tell you something.The owner, Krishna, was warm and welcoming. He provided my partner and me some insight into the cultural mixing pot that is the Dominican Republic and generally just made us feel at home. Highly recommended.

Good Indian restaurant in Dominican Republic in Punta Cana Area

If I could give more stars i would...The thing about this is not only food is fabulous but service is impeccable. Ive lived in the DR for a while now and Ive never seen a people that paid that attention to what we wanted in a restaurant here. We had madrasi chicken and shrimps, very spicy but fantastic. Prices range from 300-410 pesos for the meat and a rice serving is 100 pesos. They Also have naan, not on the menu but they will serve it!

So good! Food perfectly spiced, our party of 8 loved every dish. Wonderful and friendly service. The portions are standard so order 1 dish per person. The coconut rice is ridiculously delicious!

Awesome indian food Krishna knows very well to take care the customer we had pakora, samosa, chicken kebabs , lemon rice very authentic spicy chetney, butter chicken and paratas if you visit Punta cana dont forget to eat here.

Look no further. This is THE real deal. One of a kind. It doesnt matter if youve had Indian before or not, this is a thing of its own. If youre in Bávaro/Punta Cana, please do yourself a favor and go have a nice dinner at Pranama. Ask for Krishna, he will take very good care of you. Make sure to try some rose syrup cocktails, and also ask for the off-the-menu curries ;)

I had reached out to Krishna, the owner to coordinate a special dinner for my fiance and I, the day we got engaged. He helped me create a magical and unforgettable evening. Krishna was extremely professional, kind, and open to ideas for our dinner. He helped me plan a 4 course menu, he set up a very beautiful private area on the beach for us to dine under candle light, and coordinated our ride from restaurant to hotel (we were staying 20 minutes away). I could not have asked for a nicer or more memorable experience for my fiance and I.

Amazing Indian food. Exceptionally good service. Food is well prepared and served by knowledgeable staff. Most speak at least some English. They have a house pale ale that is brewed especially for them (very good). Nice ambiance.

I enjoyed a very good Indian meal here but felt the servers could been a bit better. I would recommend this restaurant. I had the chicken vindaloo with steamed rice and plain naan. My wife had the tandoori chicken. Very reasonable price too.

Not the best Indian food I’ve ate but it’s was still very enjoyable. The prices were a little steep but the portions were good and generous. If you are near by and want some Indian you can’t go wrong. Also they are open quite late with canon be good if you don’t have food available on your resort late

The food was delicious and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. They were also very accommodating as I brought my child who is a year and a half old and she was being very fussy and the owner came and gave her some things to play with and keep her occupied. The prices werent bad either. All in all, a pretty good experience and I would recommend this restaurant to others who visit DR.

I arrived with an open heart, looking to support a genuine cultural eatery in an area that really needs it. But I found the staff (owner?) “mansplaining” to me, treating me as inferior (because I am a woman?) It ruined my meal; I won’t go back. As much as I love exotic and delicious foods.

We were delighted to be staying close to this restaurant and even though we had an all inclusive rate with our resort, we visited Pranama a few times. Krishna the owner was extremely helpful and practically became a friend! Bring Indian ourselves, he offered to make many dishes that werent even on the menu for us if we gave him 24 hours notice. Food was extremely authentic home cooked style. Id rate higher if I could! Thank you Krishna for all your help :-)

Delicious garlic naan. Unique mojito flavors. Tasty veggie dishes and rice combinations. We also really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere. Plan to return on our next trip.

If youve not eaten here youll miss out on a truly local slice of Indian flavours. A definitive must have. Mix it up a bit with a beer and youll find yourself spending hours there. The owners are super congenial and really take the time to explain everything you need. Way to go! Definitely my favourite place to go to hang out or a cosy evening.

Food is very good and prepared quickly. The wait staff is not particularly friendly but they are efficient which is what counts. Nice quiet location with indoor and outdoor dining options available. I think a little pricey with dinner for one costing $876 pesos without drinks.
