Wonderful overnight camping place in Pune / PCMC near waterbody and nature.Got to know about the place from one of the friends and decided to try as weekend escape gateway with family. Called and got the response that you are most welcome but to serve you in a better way; we need at least 10 adults. Called like-minded friends-fanilies and we were ready to go.It was 45 minutes drive from Pune city toward Kasarsai dam near Hinjewadi. The google map was bang on with target Rainbow Island Pune and we arrived before sunset.I think concept of place is taken from a village in Malaysia where villagers of a village got-together and painted the village in rainbow colors. Social media made it popular and visitors started flocking.About 5 acers of land surrounded by compound wall and adjacent to waterbody; converted in to campsite. Majority structure is temporary and care is taken not to change the geography; but I think they have plans to go further because I could see lot of infrastructure ready but not operational.Tents are provided with thermally insulated PU foam sheets and one can camp under open sky else there are some concrete platforms which are covered with canopy can be chosen. One needs to bring along blanket and bedsheets. Watching sunrise, walk by the lake (Kasarsai dam), spotting birds near waterbody, some rarely seen creatures like tree frogs, plucking mulberries ... nights are really cold near waterbody I would highly recommend taking monkey cap, muffler, scarf etc.Homecooked vegetarian food including bhakhri, sabji/bhaji, dal, rice, salad etc is served as dinner. Bonfire also arranged coupled with chitchatting and passing the parcel.Place is very good for stargazing in the vicinity of Pune (near lavasa is the another on). We took along decent telescope (beginners)... though crescent moon played bit spoilsport; yet we could spot Saturn just before it could set, as well as many constellations towards west.... not to forget craters on the moon and 4 meteors.Tents with sizes 2 adults and 4 adults were enough in numbers. Some of us opted to put them in open but some put them on concrete under canopy. Night was chilling and blankets helped. Not a single mosquitoes spotted though there were other small flying insects including some fireflies.Watching sunrise, slow walk by the lake (Kasarsai dam), spotting birds near water-body, some rarely seen creatures like tree frogs, plucking mulberries ... followed by home prepared morning tea and snack (Pohe) served in the morning. Amazing Location looking at the backwaters of kasarsai Dam, Helping staff, Excellent Food, Fantastic Fog Dance. Boating and camping adds to the flavor. Good place to spent weekend.

Really nice place to hangout with family. we had great experience with family and guests. Place gives perfect experience for entire day. we have checked in at afternoon and enjoyed whole evening, night and left after having breakfast. Place is awesome for watching sunset, sunrise & most beautiful thing is to watch stars at night at rare non polluted place nearby beautiful lake. place is totally safe for stay with family with enough security and arrangements. Place is having everything from children to adults to have a great family time much away life from electronics and city chaos

This place is close to Hinjewadi IT park and good option for hangout with friends. Its very beautiful place with dam water and mountain view. Stay was arranged in tents. Food was very tasty and lot of options were prepared. Chicken cooked in mustard oil was very awesome and it was my first experience. Also there was arrangement for lot of indoor games and music for party and dance. Owner is very professional and dedicated for service, provided lot of attention to us and we never felt that we r out of his coverage. We reached there at 3pm and since then he was with us till 2am midnight to make sure we get everything what we need to make this stay memorable and all the time he was giving service with smile on face. Its highly recommend if you are looking for nearby place to hangout with friends.

It was one of my unforgettable trip to TND woods on 5 Jan 2020.with all my club members.I would suggest to visit this place for a day outing and night party with your family members and friends.And enjoy natures beauty and kasakasarsai dam in the front of this facility and rain dance facility also.Overall excellent hospitality by Mr Abhishek and family owner of this facility.I would like to enjoy this facility as and when possible and leave a review.

We went in a group and enjoyed a lot. Starters provided were excellent and very fresh. Abhishek along with his wife hosted us very well and were very cooperative. They served us very tasty food according to our requirements. Place is awesome. I will strongly recommend this to every one.

Great fun and masti at TND Woods in our Hurda Party. We enjoyed the excellent hospitality with delicious food and fog dancing. We will come back to enjoy in near future.

Place is very good for a day picnic with family.View of dam is beautiful.All facilities are available. Recently we visited the place with a group our friends and families We have enjoyed.Specially owner Mr Avisekh extended all support and help.

Ideal place to go with family and kids. Great host family who made first time camping a memorable event for the guests. Very relaxing stay and yummy food. Missed out on fog dance due to renovation works. Hope to experience it next time. Very safe and clean. Well marked on Google maps and road connection is decent as well.

This is amazing place to be at. Beautiful view, away from City but still close. They have lake around and you can go for boating. Abhishek from TnD woods is amazing guy. Very helpful and caring. He made sure of our safety and hosted us very nicely. I would recommend that you should visit the place and spend night under the sky :-)

Very recently was at that place.Enjoyed a lot, specially fog dance facility was awesome. A must visit place atleast for once.

Do not go for TnD Woods.It was very disgusting experience by Mr.ABHISHEK. we went out family with small children. It is already late in the evening. We asked for help and Said that we will pay you whatever the charges you have in very politely manner beacause one of the his representative promised to drop us.But Abhishek was talking in very RUBBISH language with ATTITUDE and saying that I have one crore rupees, start fighting with us by touching his hand.his nature is very dirty.He has very ego,attitude and mannerless person. Even dont know how to talk with client or people.Did not have any management as per time. Because lunch time is 1 pm and they started it at 2.30 pm-4 pm.This is the very unsafe place even Ola and uber facility is not there.

This rating is solely for the owner of the farm regardless of place and all. This was worst experience by far. Owner named Abhishek is very arrogant and mannerless person.He seems like a person who with wrong money attitude. I can say this because we had baby onboard and we asked little help and he started yelling and telling how rich he is and dont ask him anything. Basically he had no sense that we paid a fee for a service and we politely asked within our rights. But he has no understanding that this moment he is more of a service provider than landlord.Imagine having good time with family and getting your day ruined due to Ill treated, disrespectful, insulting behavior.Also he just provided hurda and some chutney whereas there are many farms who provide some complimentary farm delicacy.I dont recommend this place to go. There are lots of other places like this we have been with sweet and friendly owner and staff and quality of service and hurda too.After all we go to place like this to feel good and relaxed , away from toxic world. And they defeat whole purpose..Edit: clearly you havent read all reviews and clearly he seems adamant and couldnt differentiate between asking for help and showing generosity to compensate for effort with genuine intention so they wouldnt have to bear cost. But as someone rightly said jasi drishti tasi shrishti.Also Im happy for people who enjoyed, I believe they didnt have to interact you. We enjoyed a lot until we interacted with you sir. That too we hadnt too because we had few months old baby.Edit 2: suspiciously there area more 5 star reviews in last week especially telling how supporting Mr Abhishek was after our criticizing review.I dont have doubt that he asked his own people to post those reviews and even paid few people for reviews as he has money or maybe behaved carefully intentionally for damage control. People are clever enough to notice. Its unethical and can be misleading for people to recognize genuine reviews. Seems owner took it personally which no professional would. Extremely unprofessional

Its a good campsite, beside beautiful lake, gives memorable overnight camping experience. Very good for families as its very secure. Homely food and services that I liked the most.

I loved the concept of RainBow colours ... its just wow ... camping is fun here with cool environment .. its touching to the dam backwaters and surrounded by the mountains .. really nice place for weekend hangouts .. I did camping here with my dad and his friends .. I will recommend to try it ..

We 13 members visited the place, the trip was awesome. Owner(Abhishek) very cooperative & helpful - he almost fulfilled all our requirements (Last min demand for Prawns too). I visited this place on Jan 31st, for Blue Blood moon eclipse event and place is yet to be developed. But this place has lot of spacious and more activities are planning by the island for family and group members.

Serene and peaceful escape just an hour drive from PuneVery close to Pune and super close to Hinjewadi IT park, this unique escape to Serene backwaters of Kasarsai Dam. This place is my favorite since years. rescently new weekend place has been developed there named RainBow Island, which provides day trips, camping, food and stay. This park is touching to the backwaters. Safe and secured.You can do birdwatching in early morning, enjoy barbecue and camping in tents.I think this new place is good since there are no traffic jams while driving to this location, it is almost like dead end of road, so no issues of traffic which normally I experience at Lonavala, Mulshi, Paud etc. This is one of the important plus point of this place.Good to visit with family for camping.
