Good food & ambience but very rigid management, not co-operative towards customers and very much rule abiding. Asked for a special request, so that I could have my home cooked food as I was sick, while my colleagues ordered food from the kitchen. Was not allowed to do so. So had my home cooked food standing outside Urban Foundry while my colleagues waited for their food, thanks to slow service. Was able to achieve both the tasks, have my food and write this honest review. UF lost a loyal customer today.

Go here for the place, the food, the drinks. It offers the best of all worlds. The menu is quite concise but anything and everything we chose from it was exceptional. The Chinese preparation was specially delightful on the palate and the koyla kebab was a visual treat. Everything was served in the most thoughtful and foundry themed manner. The cocktails on the bar menu also have some twists that were doing exactly what youd expect them to do. A must visit.

Amazing food, interesting ambiance are two most noticeable thing about this place. I must add that if anyone ia planning to visit in large groups then do make prior reservation...cause this place gets filled up in no time. In the current scenario .. all measure right from temperature to sanitisation to hygiene to touch less payment are maintained nicely. The Urban Foundry located amidst of other joints, I was too wondering where to check in. At least some of the reviews and going for some Indian jumped in. The place the ambience is pretty recycled to be cool, it definitely stands out. We dine out and ordered for some soya chaap, veg Shawarma Pizza, malai Brocolli. The staff werent quite friendly as when we asked them about the recommendations. The different dishes scripted out in menu, lets try that. The soya chaap was presently well was soft and nice not that to crave about. I liked the thin layered pizza being a non vegetarian I enjoyed this veg pizza. Brocolli how do you have it as a dish but went it was sauted in malai and presented it was yum! At start the orders were quick later the staff was so busy they forgot some orders and pitched again which delayed a lot. Nevertheless to try other dish and to capture shall visit again.

The place has a DJ section right above the bar which comes to your notice once you take a seat. The place has a really good vibe and awesome food choices. From pizzas to desi tadka. And many things from around the world which makes this a perfect mukticuisine restaurant to visit. Great offers on drinks as well. The unique presentation in which the food is served makes it more unique, you can see the glimpse of which in the pictures below. Tasty food in a 20s era factory type of setting.Although i liked the interiors, wish it was better lit. All the gears and chains and copper/brass finish lighting is pretty cool. As for the food itself, was on spot and good flavour with spices. The sangria was a bit bland. The beers and cider were good.

Yesterday I visited this place and guess what worst things happens with our group.. First I sat on table at 8:45 pm waiter comes to us and say sir please give your order fast cause its our last food order and then I gave drinks and food order but before I complete my drink all food order came on my table suddenly cause of kitchen closing and time limit and at 9:45 pm they suddenly pouring my drink to disposable glass and wrapping my food for parcel cause of police issue. I think this is not fair to all customers.. my suggestion for urban foundry is that just dont take table bookings after 10:00 pm I know its covid rule but customers who are eating there food let them complete and then close the restaurant.. otherwise it makes bad impression..

An awesome place to hangout as this has a good ambience and the food served here is good in taste. The staff service is very impressive and they are quite polite and active as well. Its best to visits in groups of friends and families. The food menus are not great in numbers but are definitely good in taste. The way they served the foods are impressive and eye catchy. On weekends its good to have an early reservation as there is usually a long waiting time.

Good food and staff keeps hygiene. They wear gloves, mask and also shield while talking. Was feeling very safe inspite of this place being very crowded on Saturday afternoon.. However the quantity of food is less compared to the rates. They even charge Service Charge which I noticed later after making payment. They take VAT, Service Charge over and above the GST. So the Tax comes to almost 20% i.e. inspite of Government making GST only 5% which is very unfair as you have already spiked your per plate rates by 30% post COVID.

They have created some inmovation in thier working space and this was a wonderful ride to have them at our table ..Recently visiting the Balewadi outlet we felt like entering a mining station with such an Ambivert Architecture all round with great wooden tables , bricked walls , cement handlings , Large wheels moving to make it look appealing and extra ordinary . All the things make us feel like we are in a castle , each of the things are placed right and perfect to give an great ambience to the outlet ..Mocktails : Now talking about the food starting with great drinks to beat this weather . We had the Gulaabo named drink with Kokum syrup , crushed black salt and lime topped with soda . The kokum used to swirl and make you fresh in and out . The black salt had a trick to male an instant tinch to your body .We also had the chatpata float made from kala khatta the black syrup and topped with vanilla ice cream to mix match colour and bakance the taste at same time .Very berry was a subtle drink made from mix berry syrup and topped to soda ..Appetizer : The most interesting part were their presentation in the appetizer . The most innovative and enchanting loudly with their look , made them luscious and make your mouth full of water .Had their famous Thai hummus and lavash sticks with Pita breads . Thai hummus made from regular hummus base and topped it with thai sauce . The lavash sticks were crisp , long and had a good crunch with it , pita breads were soft , warm and circular discs to have them easily .A long stick came with hanged on a wooden cutout woth a plate beneath it . The pieces of soya chaap were hanged onto it . The soya chaap wasa marinated good and cooked in tandoor to give it a great taste . Had a portion of salad and freshly prepared green chutney to be combined with ..Recommended : To the chef recommendation part we had their thin based , crunchy and enormously large Nukkad style veg pizza . The rectangular shaped thin based , crunchiest pizza with tangy salsa made from tomatoes , onions and Green capsicum made it all the way to have it to the fullest . The cheese on it could have been a little less amd also the ketchup on top , but was treat to have it off ..Main course : As we know the best nkrth indian food is from punjab , so we had Amritsari style dhabe da paneer and Butter roti with dash of salad . The gravy could be more spicier as per out tastebuds , roti was perfect and salad had a great hint of lime to make it tangy . The quantity of the dish was heavy and can have between 2 of them . We can recommend to go for Dal makhni as well if youre in mood to have heavy meal ..Desserts : The only option that had no eggs and No Alcohol was to be chosen from , so we had this Red velvet duet kulfi . The malai kulfi with rose taste and a Red velvet kulfi with great thick cream in it . The dish looked so adorable and also had a great presentation in silver plate which was like cherry on the top . The dessert was so delicious and had a great soothing effect at last to end the meal at higher note .Due to less dessert options we choosed to go for Choco bolt shake , dark chocolate crushed , mixed with milk , cream , chocolate and blended together to give single lining thick shake . The Ambience of the place justifies its name, it has Urban Vibe to it. They have Indoor as well as Outdoor seating.BEVERAGESApple MojitoThis was a not alcoholic drink. It was a flavoured virgin mojito. This was having some apple juice along with some lime juice and mint. This was topped with some soda. The sweetness was also in limit which made it more enjoyable to drink.Thai Mojit-A-RitaThis was mix of two classic drinks that is the mojito and margarita. Fusion of these two rum based cocktails made a nice citrusy a bit fruity drink. It had good amount of alcohol to it which made it quite strong cocktail.The Whisky SmashThis was a whisky based cocktail having more fruity taste. This was having some orange juice and passion fruit juice into it along with some mint and bitters. It had nice sweet fruit punch and the whisky bitterness hits you hard, another well balanced drink.The QubeThis was a vodka-based cocktail having prominent taste of orange juice along with some sparkling wine. Adding wine balanced out the vodka bitterness but kept the punch of the alcohol which a cocktail should deliver. They also used a orange cut into shape of the cube for garnish.Smokey New York SourIts was their take on the classic New York Sour Cocktail. They definitely took this cocktail to next level. This was also a whiskey-based cocktail mixed with some lime and orange juice and this was topped with some red wine. To this they gave a smoke of apple wood. This gave a nice fragrance to the drink as well as a Smokey taste to it too.FOODSpinach Cheese PopsCheese poppers is a common thing but adding some spinach to it makes its completely different dish. The spinach puree was added to the batter and then fried. The outer crust was crisp and inside was the molten cheese. As soon as you pop the poppers the cheese rushes out. Having good amount of cheese which did not supressed the taste of the spinach, balancing both things is really different.Chicken Kasundi TangdiKasundi is a sauce made from some tomatoes vinegar some garlic and a prominent taste of the mustards seed. This all ingredients are grinded into fine paste which is called kasundi. This sauce was used to marinate the chicken legs. These legs were the charred in charcoal. These chicken legs were tender and juicy. It was also having a prominent taste of mustard to it.Chicken Thepla TacosThis was one of the fusions I had. This was fusion of gujurati, north indian and Mexican food together. Each element of this dish had a distinguish taste like the thepla tasted some like home made thepla which had a prominent taste of the fenugreek. The chicken inside was smoked chicken which was mixed a rich curry sauce. To add Mexican touch some salsa and mayo. Amalgamation of this flavours made an explosion of flavours in mouth. This was really extra-ordinary dish.Chettinad Chicken PizzaThis was also a fusion of Italian with South Indian food. The chicken was cooked with the chettinad masala. The chettinad masala is of red chillies and whole garam masala spices and some curry leaves. The crust of pizza was extremely thin. The pizza also had good amount of cheese and chicken to it.DESSERTRed Velvet Kulfi DuetThis was kulfi duet having one kulfi made of mascarpone cheese which was covered with red velvet cake crumble. And the other kulfi was of red velvet flavour. The only thing was I dint like was it was over freeze which made formation of ice crystal which ruined the flavour of both the kulfi. Little temperature control would make it an amazing kulfi.VERDICTThis place has really cool urban vibe to it. The fusion food over here really amazing. The cocktails were amazing. They have really amazing offer going all day long. The pricing of food is fair enough looking at the quality of the food. This is one of the must visit place for some great food

I mean the place itself is amazing!! Not to mention their ambience is top notch.... Just next level stuff goes on inside that restaurant. The theme of the entire restaurant as the name suggests is depicted amazingly inside. From spoons and forks to chairs to the walls of the restaurant shows urbanization. Being inside is a completely different atmosphere. And their food is just mind blowing!!! Their starters to dessert is just a mouthful of delicious flavours. Every dish that comes in front makes the mouth water including their drinks. They do have a very wide variety in the bar section which people will definitely enjoy but for people who are looking for a wide range of food would not find it. Urban Foundry has amazing food but not much to choose from. And they definitely go the extra mile to present their dishes so hats off to the restaurant. Moderate pricing thats good for everyone. Enjoyable place it is I guarantee.

Very bad experience. Food is EXTREMELY common. They serve packed potato fries in the name of potato popcorn. They only change for their interior and plating. Not at all worth it. If you are going to BHS, dont go here.

The theme of The Urban Foundry is unique & impressive. The food served is in bizarre but amazing way. The place has lively crowd with live music. The food served particularly non vegetarian is superb though you have vegetarian option too. The desert is unique too. Do plan to visit this place you wont regret.

Pune has very few theme based restaurants and this is one of the best ones in the city.Full marks to the designer for the detailing in the design, decor, cutlery, menu,toilet doors, sink...the list goes on.Equally interesting is the food which can easily be labelled as Fusion food and the presentation is very much innovative.
