Very old swimming tank in Pune with a lot of legacy. There are three tanks in the premises. A senior coach has been training for over 3 decades. Coaching for young kids as well as those with special needs is also available. Competitive training as well as water polo training happens. Female coaches are seen training females of all ages.

Tilak tank is one of the very few 50m pools in Pune. Centrally placed in the city. Entry to the pool is very strict and only guest entries are not allowed. It is allowed only if you are accompanied by permanent member. Monthly qiarterly and annual memberships are available. Very clean water to swim and well mentained pool. Toilets are cleaner than reat of the pools in pune but still can me cleaner.

Tilak Tank is one of the oldest swimming tank in Pune. It has combination of 3 swimming tanks. Its quite crowded in summer season. There is no car parking, however a small 2 wheeler parking is available.

This place is the most overrated place Ive been to. Coaches are most of the time busy chating about what they did last night. Out of the 45min session, about 5 min were spent on teaching. Rest was time pass. Also we were taught in the most filthiest pool Ive ever been to( not the one you see in pictures. There is another swimming pool,which has gravel under not tiles). Its not temperature controlled also. And to top it off, the coaches teaches you as per their convenience. I asked for 9 am batch and even its officially that, he said he wants me to come at 8am. Ive spent 1350 Rs for one month, but I feel I overpaid because the way it was taught could have been learnt from a simple YouTube video.

I like the pool as its open all days of the week, water isnt heated which makes swimming in winter a task. Only one pool is operational and we are forced to swim breath wise, which makes it difficult to practice.
