Pagdandi is one of the best book cafes in Pune city. It is a must visit place for any who love book, like to attend reading and book launches and for authors to write and promote their books. The best part about Pagdandi is their team and their dedication to promote the reading culture. There is also a cafe which serve light snacks and hot and cold beverages to keep up your reading and shopping. Do visit. Highly highly recommended.

I stumbled into Pagdandi Bookstore Cafe whilst looking for some tea, to kill an hour between mommy errands. And I was completely fascinated by the beautiful ambience created by the owners of this eight year old Cafe. The Cafe has a brightly lit inside section which hosts the coffee counter, a small selection of muffins, cookies and biscotti, an art display, tall bookshelves laden with diverse categories of books for sale. It has such an impressive array of popular books to suit eclectic readers- children, young adults and more discerning readers as well. One can also order books from their website which are home delivered.The outside section has limited seating and a bunch of bookshelves with books available for reading at the Cafe. Pretty little succulents, add to the allure of each table. All COVID protocols are maintained with hand sanitisers placed at the entrance and at tables for guests.I enjoyed an Adrak Chai made by the very affable Aalam who manages this place with enormous expertise and ease. Full marks to his attentiveness and courtesy.I was so taken over by this charming little Cafe that offers two of my greatest wishes - books and chai , on a pleasing platter with such excellent service. Since there are Hot chocolate and cookies too , I will be soon bringing my kiddos, to enjoy their share of childrens books with their favourite beverage.I gathered from Aalam that Pagdandi frequently hosts book readings, book launches and several events which feature on their Instagram and Facebook pages.So do visit positive Pagdandi for books, beverages, coffee dates with friends and family or just to catch some me-time.

The lazy Indian sit-outs, the bamboo ceiling and bookshelves, cane chairs, guitar, quirky accessories, and the wide array of the re-circulated old books that smell close to heaven for any bookish geek!u2028u2028Serving up the classic Americano, Espresso, Latte, Cappuccino, Irish Coffee to the signature Cold Coffee Frappe, Pagdandi has a lot of coffee options for coffee lovers to choose from. So it was only during lockdown 2021 that I somehow I read about how Amazon, flipkart and other e- commerce companies has monopoly over book selling too. So got to explore the world of Indie- bookstores and for the first time ordered online, with first bookstore being Pagdandi. So my review is only of online delivery and order. Havent visited the bookstore yet.Delivered on time and in good condition, with a lovely bookmark. Recommended!.

Located on Baner Pashan Link Road in Regent Plaza. As the parking is on Road, for four wheelers it can be a challenge on weekends.The ambiance is like a typical desi cafe with lots of reading option. Contrary, we found most of the crowd was stuck with their laptops. The crowd here is mostly college or freshers. The seating arrangement is compact and option to sit indoor & outdoor as well. We had opted for outdoor seating.We had ordered the famous Ginger Tea here along with Ginger Lemon Tea. Ginger Tea was very good. The perfect amount of ginger in it.  We also had Desi Grill Burgwich. Which was a grilled sandwich and perfect to have with tea. Although it arrived after we finished our tea.Service is good and payment needs to be made while giving order.Overall one of the best options to have tea here while you are around Baner.

Fascinating place for reading books and enjoying coffee and desserts. The place is very cozy and addictive. After few minutes inside this cafe, I didnt feel like leaving it.Very interesting concept, I must say. However, I really wish they didnt charge for the wi-fi. It seems little greedy and thats something the management can do something about. If you choose to let this one slide, you can definitely enjoy the food very much.

Place is under matlintenance currently, books are only for sale, only outside seating is available and cappucino was not good at all, may be when cafe will be ready in future will visit again.

The first place to come to mind whenever I wanted to spend a relaxed evening with friends or spend a lazy afternoon by myself - a good selection of food, good chai, loads of books, plenty of space to huddle together with friends, interesting mix of people and the warmth of the staff. The occasional storytelling circle, poetry club or jam session only adds to the charm of this bright cozy corner in Baner.

One of my favourite places in Pune. Pagdandi has an amazing collection of brand new and second hand books to choose from, with discounts available on selected books!In addition to the books, they also have a wide variety of handmade notebooks, bookmarks, tote bags, magnets, and postcards by various local and independent artists.They also organise and conduct Open mic night, Documentary screening, and a few other activities!I would definitely recommend this place!P.S. A reasonably good collection of books, a cozy (not congested) seating area make this worth a visit, intermittantly. The reading (library) facility is unfortunately unavailable these days to avoid unnecessary infection transmission.

Great place for a light reading

Simply loved this place, the ambiance it provided was great I just ordered a cup of tea which was really great and started reading the book that I had on me. There were people who were visiting there for certain books that are present there and seemed like regulars others were just enjoying there time and some with their laptops working. There were also snacks available but I was content with chai that I ordered and the book I had before I realized that I was done with half the book I had already spent nearly 3hrs in that Cafe and it just felt great. 😊

Owing to the current scenario of Covid and Lockdowns, the Cafe has made some changes, you can sit outside where they have kept makeshift tables and chairs. Inside the cafe itself, you can go through the collection of books and buy them at 15% Off.There are some great titles to buy from. Overall, Its okay. You can buy books and have tea or coffee.

They have very good collection of books... Clean and hygienic place if u want to eat or drink something while working or reading books.. they also have books to sale.. Interior is also very nice...the best and creative thing was clock...clock looks like books... I liked that idea alot...

Overpriced and overhyped is the first thing that comes to mind.It’s super tiny inside, it fills up if 6 people come inside.They switch on the AC and even just thinking about the place is causing me breathing problems.It’s stuffy and becomes traumatically unbearable once they start making a sandwich or any food really.If you want to move outside, it’s nothing but 4 tables with uncomfortable wooden chairs and outside heat and crowds.Coming to the food, well, its like what you’d make at home, not worse, not better.Except you pay like 100 times the cost.The staff is incredibly rude, they’ll smile and talk but still manage to make you feel like an imposition. Sorry I came, alright? Won’t happen again.The book collection is alright, nothing too exciting unless you’re a 13 year old truant.

If you are a person for whom a good book and some food makes your day then probably this is the place you should visit. They have a very nice ambience where you can sit for long and read and enjoy being yourself. Apart from this they also serve very delicious food. They have limited menu but yes they are almost perfect at cooking what is written in the menu.Only on Sundays this place is a bit crowded so go early book your seat first and enjoy your day.

This is one of the best cafes/libraries I have been to. They have a wide range of books, you can read while sipping your coffee or munching on your sandwich. Best part is if you dont want to stress yourself on a chair, they have mattresses laid for you to get as comfortable as you want while you read. They also have some good quality eco friendly items like bags, coasters, fridge magnets, gift cards, etc for sale. This place also hosts many recreational events and activities, entry to most of which is free to all.

This place is great to hangout for students, employees. It motivates you to read more books; to spend time with your loved ones by playing games like chess, scrabble. There are lots of events happen like poet reading session. Trecks. Etc. I love this place so much that now we shifted to kothrud still we go there once in every two months.

This is one of my favorite places in Pune to bring guests. It reminds me of San Francisco coffee shops. Its mainly coffee, tea, and vegetarian sandwiches (brown bread extra), with a few pasta and dessert options. Very tasty, all.Its delightfully cozy, with small tables and a long raised mattress in one corner inside, and several more tables outside facing the arcade of the small mall. The ambience is all the cozier with wallfuls of books that can be borrowed to read while eating. Still more books are for sale.The little shop frequently hosts public talks, readings, demonstrations, etc. Somehow all the guests seem to fit in the place -- so far, anyway. But as word continues to spread about this little hem of a place, guests may have to spill out into the arcade.

I am not a voracious reader but when I read, I find myself always at Pagdandi. A place to treat yourself with amazing collection of books and journals plus the adrak waali Chai. I dont know but somehow get a lot of positive vibes whenever I reach here. The idea is pretty simple that The relationship between Books and Chai go as old as the mountains. You must visit this place to believe this.

Ambience is nice, concept is nice, BUT...a. Coffee took unbelievably long to arrive,b. They refused to let me buy a book from the used books for sale shelf, claiming it was from the library and had been mistakenly placed on the for sale shelf. Second time theyve done this in two tries.

Their collection of books is so diverse.. you can actually find most of the books there. Theres also chess, Scrabble and other games to entertain yourself apart from a great collection of books. And of course, yum food!
