Such beautiful place one should definitely give it a visit
There is a monastery of Shankaracharya in the mouth of Munjaba in Narayan Peth, Pune. Only this monastery contains idols of Adi Shankara, so it is identified as Shankaracharya monastery. The statue is marble and has been erected in a small shrine. In front of the idol is a Shivalinga with a characteristic arrow (vertical arch). In front is a marble nandi. The monastery of these Shankaracharyas in Pune was founded by Shirolakar Swamy, a disciple of Parivrajakacharya Vasudevanand Saraswati, Tembeswamy. When the Tembeswamy held a Chaturmas at Bithur, the northern Brahmavart, he met Shirolakar. Swami forced Shirolakar to retire. Then Shirolakar came to Pune and established the monastery in the senior month of the year 1979. Shirolakar Swamy was the 8th president of the Sankeshwar Karvir Shankaracharya Sansthan Math. After the Shirolakar Swami, the monastery was run by the castes. Erandeswamy survives till the 5th.The place and structure of this Shankaracharya monastery was originally from Dewakar. This old-fashioned place is still in good shape today. The atmosphere of the monastery is quiet, despite the heavy population in the middle of the valley. The monastery has a school. Mandar Shahrikar teaches the Vedas there. Old monuments, laid-back courtyards, tranquil sacred atmosphere, white-white cows and her calves are rare in this monastery.
