Hungarian cuisine for me is something that I have never tried before. So I was quite curious about this place. Here we tried various Kurtosh, both sweet and savory. Must say, it was good and I really cant decide whether sweet were better or savory. Both had its different flavours which blended really well with cones. In savory, I tried Italian Kurtosh which was nice and cheesy. It had decent amount of veggies but being an exotic veggies lover, I would have loved more amount of veggies to it. In sweet fills, I had, Butterscotch, Red Velvet and Hazelnut Strawberry kurtoshs. All were great but my personal favorite was Red velvet. All the sweet ones were topped with vanilla ice cream. 1 Kurtosh is quite heavy and tummy filling for 1 person.Apart from Kurtosh I also tried their bubblegum shake, coffee frappe, flavoured fries and mug cake. Bubblegum shake was really good. Coffee frappe was nice and thick. Loved their fries but the mug cake could be more moist. Overall, it was a good experience and I would want to visit again to try their other savory dishes.

Chimney cones are basically the like the wada pav to Hungry. Its their street food. Kurtosh has bought this amazing concept to Pune and are serving savoury as well as dessert chimney cones. It is a beautiful place with a quick service offering lots of varieties. For the drinks I would recommend,Bubblegum shake - It isnt thick as they use the nature milk to make their shakes. Bubblegum flavour pops out and goes hand in hand with savoury cones.Roasted hazelnut - true to its name, it does justice to its hazelnut flavour.Coffee frappe - the frappe over here are extremely thick and nice. They offer a good variety of fries,Jamaican fries - it is so good that you can munch on this all day long. For savoury cones you should definitely try,Chicken makhani - the butter is drooling from the cone. This Indian touch to Hungerian cuisine is a huge success. Deliciously marinated chicken goes hand in hand with flavoured cones.Barbeque chocolate chicken - this is something very innovative. Go for this if you want to experiment with your food. Barbeque sauce always does justice to chicken but a touch of chocolate slightly reduces the essence of the sauce.Italian veg - stuffed with lots and lots of cheese, this one is a good choice for your empty stomach. They also offer an option where the kurtosh is served open, it is call the kartoos kurtosh.Chicken kartoos kurtosh - This is extremely huge and stuffed with everything that describes delicious. Two hungry souls can finish this masterpiece. It has chicken, herbs, sauces, cheese, spices, kebabs and what not.Now comes the dessert part,Hazelnut strawberry - this is a surprise cone. Presented very beautifully, it is topped with ice cream and strawberry-hazelnut syrup. As you come to the end of the cone you will find strawberry jelly stuffed inside.Red velvet - the cone gives out the red velvet flavour. Topped with ice cream and red velvet syrup, this one is my personal favourite.I had an amazing experience at this place trying out their vast menu. I would highly recommend to go for the chicken makhani, kartoos kurtosh and the red velvet kurtosh.

Urtosh popularly known as chimney cake. The Kurtosh Kalach ( with the right Hungarian spelling : Kurtos Kalacs) originated from Hungary. More precisely from Transylvania which was the eastern region of Hungary some time ago. The first Hungarian cookbook which mentioned the Kurtosh Kalach recipe was issued in 1723. The name derives from the Hungarian word Kurto that refers to chimney and Kalacs meaning cake.So I visited this place recently and heres what I tried at Kurtosshhh :-1. Paan Litchi Iced Tea - The name and the combination sound weird but to be honest when I had this, it had more of paan than the litchi or maybe the paan flavour over powered the litchi flavour. But overall, if youre looking at experimenting with your tastebuds then go ahead and try.2. Bubble Gum Shake - As the name suggests, this has a typical bubble gum flavour to it. If youre fond of bubble gum like taste then youll love it.3. Roasted Hazelnut - This does total justice to its name. Loved it.4. Popcorn Shake - I was mind blown when I had this one. Like it leaves you confused. Were so used to the popcorn that when served in a different form, we tend to get confused and wonder what this is. I quite liked this one.5. Jamaican Fries - The masala they use is the soul of this dish. Like fries are so super versatile that you add any flavor to it and it tastes just like it. Spicy and chatakedaar at the same time. Amazing stuff.6. Chilli Garlic Fries - This is a very safe bet. When in no mood to experiment, call for it.7. Chicken Kartoos Kurtosh - Now what is this one? This is a combination of tandoori chicken, reshmi kebab, special spices and is fully loaded with cheese, garlic and mixed herbs. This is so super filling that it can suffice the hunger of 2 good eaters.8. Chicken Makhani Cone - This should come with a warning label, have it while its hot. The beauty of this is that you should eat it while its hot because its so super creamy that you cannot afford for it to get cold. But superbly done. Go ahead, try maybe?9. Italian Cheese Chicken Cone - Now this is my kinda cone. Extremely cheesy and less on spices. I can order this and eat it all day and hey not to miss the instagrammable cheese pull. Dont forget to click a picture of it. Haha!10. Barbecue Chocolate Chicken Cone - Somehow this one didnt work for me. Even though it sounds interesting but all I could taste was BBQ flavor. The bbq flavor was so super pungent that it over powered the chocolate flavour.11. Hazelnut Strawberry Cone - Im somehow in love with their sweet cones. Theyre huge, creamy and super yummy. The add strawberries to it and top it with lots of cream on top. Beautiful!12. Tempty Butterscotch - This was pretty decent. Nothing wow about it. Maybe Im biased towards the rest of them.13. Red Velvet Cone - This one is true love. Top to bottom pure bliss. You cannot stop eating once youve had a bite of it.14. Cheesy Chicken Langos - Hands down the best langos Ive eaten till date. Nice crispy base topped generously with cheese and herbs. Love love loved this.15. Mug Cake - A pretty decent mug cake topped with ice cream and confetti. A moist version of this should make all the difference.Overall, Kurtosshhh is a fabulous place if youre craving for some chimney cones. I personally love the sweet cones at Kurtosshhh as theyre gorgeous. Go check them out today!#jerlynfoodfanatic

I tried the Mexican Chicken Kurtoshhh here. It was absolutely amazing! It was a bit spicy, but I loved it. I also tried the Oreo Shake here, it was delicious. 9/10 for this place. The only bad thing is the waiting time. It takes a lot for you to serve food, maybe the actual process of making it takes time, I guess. But I would still recommend it, absolutely fantastic. The staff is very polite and their combos are worth it. I already love Hungarian food!

I dont know why but I didnt really like the tangy patato cone that I ordered, I like the cone though but the filling was a not so pleasing. Not worth 150/- for sure. I was expecting something more crisp on the outside and a good stuffing but the stuffing wasnt even like aalo roll

Kurtoskalacs is actually a chimney cone filled with sweet or savoury fills. Hungary being the home of this delicacy, it is surprising to see the quantity in which it is consumed on an everyday basis. You will find atleast 6-7 stalls in every lane of Hungary serving Kurtoskalacs and doing an extremely fair amount of business.I was in awe of this place when I got to know they have opened up in Koregaon Park as I had tried this famous delicacy on my recent visit to Budapest,Hungary. From the streets of Hungary, on your plate, this newly opened joint in Koregaon Park does not fail to impress you. What I tried :- Barbecue Chicken Chocolate : The name gives you jitters because you’ve obviously never experimented with Chicken and Chocolate. An addition to it is Caramel. Sounds even weirder. But trust me, it does go down well. The combination is not that bad with the chimney cone.- Italian Cheesy Chicken : This is yet another savoury fill chimney cone. The name itself says it all. An Italian twist to the kurtoskalacs. I personally felt like I was having an Italian cheesy chicken pizza, just that instead of a pizza base , the stuffing was in the chimney cone. I can very well recommend this one to anyone who would be trying it for the first time.- Smiley and Fun : Smiley and Fun was the only sweet fill that I tried here and it was enough to transport me back to August, when I had my Kurtoskalacs in Budapest. This sweet fill has everything you would ever want in a dessert, but it’s not necessary to eat it for dessert. Just like anytime is ice cream time, this sweet fill can also be consumed at any hour of the day depending on your sweet tooth. Priced at Rs. 149 , one sweet fill is good enough for 2 people. I would have liked a dash of cinnamon on the chimney cone as that’s how they make it in Hungary, which I even told the concerned person and I’m sure they will work on it.- Langos : Langos is a deep fried dough. But as we all know , the Indian taste buds always want some masala/spices on anything and everything. Kurtosshhh… serves the Langos with toppings on it. I didn’t quite like it, but people might just like the Indian version of these Langos.Apart from the Kurtoskalacs and Langos , they also offer some options in salads and coolers. With Pune proving to be one of the most developing cities in terms of introducing new cuisines, I definitely think you should give Kurtosshhh… a try.
