I find the love and admiration towards #keralacuisine growing leaps and bounds across people from different communities and cultures. Coastal cuisines are tasty, sumptuous and if prepared well, leave you with a lingering feeling of satisfaction level - Cloud 9!Ive know of #keralacafe and the good North and South Malabar cuisine that they prepare. Priced a little steep as compared to other hotels, but rest assured, their afternoon meals and special Kerala meat preparations are fantastic. Not to forget, their insistence of using plantain leafs, fresh ingredients and condiments, make their dishes worth exploring and indulging into. Also, my pseudo Malayali side, yearns for a spread of deliciousness from Gods Own Country - #devathindeswanthamnadu once in a while.Inset, some good specials -Kerala #mutton #pepperfry with soft #appams, the special chilli lime kulukki (Lime and Chilli Sherbet) and an enjoyable appetizer of Garlic Fry #prawns 🍹😋👍Thanks for a wonderful experience, Kerala Cafe, #hinjawadi #pune 🙏🙌🔥#foodmakesmehappy #coastalfood #malabar #malabarfood #keralagram #foodgram #foodforfoodies #goodfood #cuisinesofindia #indiafood #seafood #muttonlover #meatcurry #enjoyfood 😌
One of the hidden gem. This restaurant has a lot of positive reviews. We went here for lunch. The menu strictly comprises of South Indian cuisine. The ambience is lovely. The staff is super friendly. We ordered a started and the taste was too good. The main course which comprised of a veg meal and chicken meal was strictly average for the price. They also have valet parking for convenience of the customers. Do visit once if you wanna tingle your taste buds with South Indian delicacies 😊
The place is good. Went for lunch and had Kerala veg meal. The atmosphere and the service is too good. The things I didnt like, the food and the price. The price is too high and the food is not that great compared to the price. The place sounds Kerala and the food also looks like that but taste wise had to compromise
The food was nice but pricing seems to be high as per food quality.Kerela authenticity is very visible so if u love kerela food then its great place. But if u r not very much fond South Indian food fan. Don’t go.Hygiene wise 4 out of 5Food taste 4 out of 5Food prices 3 out of 5Overall atmosphere of place is 4 out of 5.Surely recommend if u love southern food.
The day this place opened in Hinjewadi, it was added to my wishlist. I visited this place recently for lunch and was gutted to find it so bad!The only good thing about this place was the interiors. The way they have brought ambience of traditional Kerala looks nice.Coming to the food, we ordered Mutton Ghee Roast, Honey Chilli Potato, Veg Meal and Bamboo Chicken Biryani. The mutton was okayish, had a lot of expectations but I must say I have a lot better Ghee Roast than this one. It looked great, but the mutton was probably not goat meat, and also, it was not spicy enough to be called ghee roast. Honey chilli potato was pathetic and way too sweet! The veg meal was above average. Payasam was very delicious though. The biggest let down was their Bamboo Chicken Biryani! It tasted so bad that we had to throw away half of it. The presentation was good (instagrammable as people say), but it turned out to be an all-show-no-taste dish. The staff was very nice and courteous.I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone!
Visited kerala cafe recently after much heard from the people. Loved the ambience and has amazing kerala cuisine.i loved the veg bamboo biryani. it was worth to have it. Had chicken kerala curry, it was medium spicy. Overall place is hood if you enjoy authentic southern food. But i found it a little expensive. My overall rating is 3.5
Nice ambience, not big restaurant. Place you can find flavors of Kerala. One can also have spicy starters, main course too here. We ordered one starter which was average in taste. In main course we ordered paneeer masala having flavor of coconut milk in it which tastes nice. Dessert we had paysam( kheer kind) this was the best. Overall it was average.
The ambience of the place was really nice. They have made the whole place feel more familiar to the Malayalees out there. We ordered a Non-Veg Thali for 270/- per head. The food was really good and wholesome.Taste was very similar to home cooked food. Also, they served the food on a banana leaf which was *unlimited*.Even the dessert Payasam was unlimited. So after completing all your meal, you can just relax in the sit out area for the food to settle down.My opinion :A little high on price but worth the money spent.
Kerala Cafe is built on the vision of reclaiming traditional kerala food for a new generation, bringing the Gods own Countrys hidden culinary gems to light.Currently, due to COVID-19 everyone is worried about choosing the right restaurant to have food. You all can trust Kerala Cafe in terms of service, quality, quantity and safety standards.Highly recommended!!Im also sharing their photos of special Freedom Thali as of Independence day 2020.
This is not aunthetic kerala food. Patheric service..Very leas Quantity food and very costly compared to quantity. One dish of sabji (Rs 290) is only sufficient to 1 person. Food quality and taste also is not good.Dont visit if you are good eater.Instead of visiting here go for any fast food center or roadside chat stall.Completely unsatisfaction with lots frustration after visiting here today. Not value for money..
We ordered appam and sabzi, it was delicious. Rassam and payasam was total disaster.
Awesome Taste so as Service. Must visit place for ones having Authenticate Kerla Food Love
Biriyani is very nice but I ordered chicken is like rubbered and flovered also not up to mark
Great nonveg food. South Indian payasam not enjoyed .
No doubt about the taste of the food but the service should be little faster and staff needs to be increased atleast on weekends..
It was an amazing place with great food.We had the veg meal and it was the best meal I have had in Pune. The food is so simple and good and healthy.A treat for all vegetarian people. It has all components of a full meal salty sweet sour and bitter. And all things come together so well.A must for all malayalees missing kerala food. After our meal we had filter coffee which was the best coffee I had ever had.It wad very tasty. All in all best cuisine and best meal for rs 190.Also you get special jeeragam vellam served here which is also very healthy and looks great too.
Not worth..Very costly, i had ordered mutton pepper curry which cost me around rs600, it was just curry with small 3 pieces in a soup size bowl. Which was not sufficient even for 2 peopleTaste was okay but not that good.
Tasty food , quality food. place was pleasant and slient.. Enjoyed the food
The worst food I ever had. I have ordered chicken biryani, first they have served with wrong order and then they took about 20mins to serve my order and the chicken pieces hasnt been cooked properly, even the blood hasnt cleaned properly.I paid the bill and left the place without having food.I dont recommend this place.
The infrastructure is beautiful.. Peaceful environment.. Quality of taste is best... I visited this place on my birthday.. and this place is specially for non vegetarian. Had a happy experience.. I am pure veg although from the taste of veg food I tasted there I could say the quality of food is well maintained.
I had visited Hinjewadi phase 1 unit of Kerala Cafe. The vibes inside the cafe makes you feel good. It lightens your mood. The time at the cafe was spent well. If you are a non vegetarian lover, then this is one of the places that you should visiting. Although, this time couldnt get mutton as it was exhausted.Moreever you get authentic Kerala style foods. However, the price points are marginally on the higher side.Food-5/5Cleanliness-5/5Ambience-5/5Price-4/5Washroom Facilities-3.5/5Location-4/5I was happy about the overall visit and had a good experience.
Like the ambiance, proper Kerala theam interior and design ....Ambiance-5*Food-5*Service-5*Easily accessible from the road
Placed online delivery order for chicken biryani. I was surprised with the quantity. It was very less for even a kid. Taste wise it was good.
They are such a big brand and beautiful interiors only.. But the food is not at all good as per there rates, once home ordered for a dozen of chapatis, n they all were nothing but just flat doughs and moreover the smell was something unusual.
Deliciously sumptuous food, great ambience, the service is almost impeccable, appams couldve been better.
Nice wall designs. Classic south-Indian ambience. Authentic Keral taste. Service could be better.. but i liked the place.
Complete meals is served only during day timeAnd in evening only ala-carte
Loved the payasam. But the most tasty dish there was chicken ghee roast. So so so yummy that every one of my friend loved it. And the ambience is lovely and the toilets are clean and hygienic. Definitely visit this place with family and friends.
Nice authentic kerala food. Good hygiene
I want to post my review in terms of both self pick up and food quality.Self pick up review: I went there for self pickup. Intitally they took about 35 to 40 mins to pack the order and giving priority to online deliveries. I keep waiting and in front I saw that 4 online pick up boys collected orders who came after 10 mins of my order.Food quality: I ordered Chicken Thallashery Biriyani for self pick up. I ordered the same earlier via online delivery options in which I received the order within 25 mins and also the food quality was really awesome. Based on the same experience I ordered it again at restaurant. When I came back at home and opened up the parcel the food quality was very very poor, rice seems to be overcooked and throws out some bad smell from it. Even I am not able to mix the rice well. One of the ever worst Biriyani I had in my life. I am not sure why it happened because as per my online experience it was good and they also be take care for feedback it seems which will not happen in case of self pickup.I will never order again from this restaurant.
Good place to have lunch in Hinjewadi if you are looking for authentic Kerela food. Meals are good. Veg meals are unlimited. Overall price of the meal bit costly
Lemon water is for 100 Rs. So you can easily figure out about the place... you are paying for the just name and branding. Nothing much prices are high. Food test is ok. Staff is super awesome and polite.
Fully Oily bangda fish gravy
Had head quite a bit about this place so headed to their outlet in Hinjewadi.... Service was pleasantly quite good. The food also tastes quite good with special mention for Mushroom starter and Chicken curry in the meal. Just the thing that was off putting was that the sambar and rassam served werent piping hot as they should be...they were like warm at best. Would visit this place again just for the variety of curries that this place has to offer.
Worst place. No knowledge of Kerala taste. Food and service was very poor. Strongly recommend not to visit.
Ambience was ok. Food quality not so good. Visit only if you dont find any option near by.
Authentic Kerala Cuisine. Especially non veg dishes. Good ambience. Courteous staff. Valet parking available. Slightly overpriced.
I visited Kerala cafe today after hearing much raving review about it. We were greeted and served very courteously by all staff its was very good welcome for me.. Food was very tasty service also super fast..
A different and awesome food taste.. Service is superb (omkar) who served our table was very courteous.. On the whole a nice restaurant to visit...
Good for family visits. Foods is good but can more improve. If you are south indian you may love the food. A bit costly and quantity is less than expected.
Authentic Kerelian cuisine and amazing ambience. Must ask the restaurant staff for best things to try.I visited this restaurant during my pune visit.I like authentic kerala curries and appam.Overall experience was good.
Very friendly staff and great tasting food.
The ambience is amazing !! Buff ghee roast is a must try here... Service is prompt and the waiters are very helpful if you cant decide what to order...
Parking was a challenge. Food is over priced. Service was good. Nice ambience. Polite staff. Taste of the food is acceptable.
Visit to this restaurant was long due. And am glad it finally happened..A veg and nonveg restaurant and must try for all..Ordered appetizers, juices.. They were delicious..Had Kerala parotha and Egg Roast with a Veg Meal..Meals are unlimited...Taste : 5*Ambience : 4*Staff : 4*Service : 5*Will keep on visiting again
Nice and cozy. Better for small groups of 2 or 4 people rather than larger numbers. Staff are polite and understanding.
Great ambience.Well maintained place..Good for family...
Best ambience, not so good food. Btw its very expensive. Dont be shocked to see the top ratings in zomato or any other online food delivery service. They tried to bribe us with sweets to provide good ratings on these platforms.
Seafood lovers will like it. Authentic Kerala food in banana leaf. Must visit place.
Food was ok. Some of them were good. Ambience was good
All items are over price, less quantity of food, taste ok not up to price, good staff, good ambience.
Extremely overpriced for the taste on offer... wouldnt have bothered abt the high price, if the taste was better
They say its Kerala authentic food, I have never felt it.Costlier food and Dishes are in the name of Kerala however doesnt feel like its Kerala food but Kerala snacks taste come little closer.Ordered recently Fish Meal with friend, such an embarrassment.Fish curry was worst I ever had. Frozen Fish cooked in coconut gravy with non Kerala masala and taste awful.
I went for Bamboo Biryani. Nothing special about it. It was like regular home made veg rice. Even beveragaes were too sweet in taste.
Best service... The staff out there is very cooperative and the food quality and quantity is awesome
Good ambiance and OK food, maybe we need someone who knows keralian recipes to help us choose something more better.
Ambience is perfect but not all that in menu is good. Veg Bamboo biriyani is not good at all... Although u can try Malabar paneer. So better go when u can try some non-veg dishes.
I took parcel but the taste of chicken was not up to the mark and heavy price.. other than appam and parota liked them but again heavy price.I dont recommend for two persons go there and spend more than 400 RS.
If you are looking for a budget friendly place then this one is surely not for you, maximum what you can look out for is a dineout 10 percent discount. The food is tangy and tasty, Kerala paratha is a delight as well as all the fish curry they have.
I had been there last weekend.veg thali which was written in the menu card was not available.Russum, Sambar was not available. Water melon juice was not available. We ended up eating dishes suggested by the waiter.Veg biryani was very good. They do serve Buffalo meat, didnt know that😥
Good is good... But without the Mallu waiters the authentic feel is lost.. So one star less for that..
Authentic kerela food. Go in a group of 4-5 people(rs. 2500) it will be less expensive. However very expensive for individual
Awesome place, pleasant ambience. Food quality is also good.Had tried veg meals and veg appam thali and loved it. Staff is also nice specially Nagsen who served us.Would Love to visit frequently..
Nice place excellent food
The food is good. Ambience is good. The Taste is almost there . MUST TRY THE BAMBOO BIRYANI.
High price. Bogus taste. Quantity is worst than what you can think about. Will not recommend to any one. Option for Buff;Yes. So buff lovers who cant find it else where can visit this place. But dont. Over all its just useless and waste of money.
Fantastic food and attentive service! Definitely coming back
When you long for a typical Kerala lunch, this is the place to go in Wakad, Hinjewadi area. Though price is a bit on the higher side, food preparations are good and authentic.
