This place is quite good for Marathi food. But I tried north indian food and it was also very tasty. Quality and quantity as per the price is good. I also tried pav-bhaji, it was okay. Best part was buttermilk..it was tasty and very refreshing. You can try some authentic Marathi food dishes as well.
Food quality has been changed, I had 2 years back I liked so I visited again but food taste changed, service is good, Maharashtrian food varieties are there
A must visit for Pitla Bhakri lovers. Alu wadi and kothamir wadi are mouth watering. Do try kaju usal if u are looking for something different. Decent ambience and courteous staff.
Authentic and fresh food.. Baasundi and Rabdi a must have
I liked its Paneer butter masala,..
After renovation they Lost legacy of their own test... 😔
Best for Maharashtrian Food. Taste is also Best. Thali is famous here but currently not available. Attitude problem is there in staff not in waiters. No parking for 4 wheelers you have to park at JM road side. Rates are too high. Coffee is for 60, Single Pav is for 20 Rs.
Typical Maharashtrian Restaurant where you must taste Kothimbir Wadi. Ambience is good. You may struggle to get parking specially if you are planning to go this restaurant by car. I dont know why they are serving food in small steel plates.
Could do better in terms of food quality and test.Overall good experience.Fast serviceYou might have to wait for some time on holidays
The authentic Maharashtrian food spot in Pune. A must visit place to taste Veg Thali. One can even have snacks during the day.Its a landmark location on JM Road Pune.Though price has been increased over years.Vehicle parking problem may arise due to highly traffic dense road. However, recently opened PMC parking available opposite restaurant.Food quality is awesome
Authentic maharashtrian restaurant. If you want to taste the authentic place. There are some additional food items on Saturday and Sunday according to the menu. Thalipeeth was nice. They serve this with matki and raita with a spoon of ghee. You can even try pitla Bhati over there. Aloo wadi was also good. Neat and clean place. Parking is limited.
Very delicious food and refreshments. Quick takeaways and pleasent environment with good seating arrangements.
Loved this place. We had a fixed thali here and everything was tasty.
If really fade up eating punjabi style all the time this is best option to try...you will homely style food...
Best place for authentic maharashtrian delicacies.Mouth watering taste. Must try.. Kotimbir wadi, Methi pitla
I college days ...it was our favourite to eat the marathi dinner...usal, mthichi bhaji, and my favourite shev bhaji.... hot bhakari or poli... service, quality and taste all are good here ... visit once if you’re truly Maharashtrian food lovers ...
Taste was not so good. Very sweet flavour in veggies.all dishes was not available.
Landed at Mathura today with a dear foodie friend. Mathura is a popular Maharashtrian Pure Veg restaurant located on JM Road, Pune.We had planned to savour their famous Gavran Thali but also added their equally famous Kothimbir Wadi. The Gavran Thali was a delicious treat. Down-to-earth food from rustic Maharashtra. Vangi rassa, masala bhaath, mutter cutlet, and the thecha with kothimbir wadi were special mention items. The kothimbir wadi too was delightful.Topped it off with a sweet magai pan at Poonams.Divine way to start off the work week 😋😋
We ordered methi, Palak paneer and Vangi along with Bhakri and Dal khichdi. We spotted a worm in the Dal khichdi. It was really horrible as there were cockroaches walking around the tables
Earlier taste was good, not same experience now. Bhakri doesnt seem to b fresh
You can get very okay food. Didnt find it a goto resturant which can full fill your taste buds.
Very good Hotel for Veg regular & Maharashtrian food ,Flexible timing to match working class peoples ,Good hygiene
Highly overrated...i think they use MSG to enhancr flavours
Good place to taste authentic Maharashtrian food. They serve Punjabi food as well which tastes superb. Do try Bhakri with Kharda. Very clean and hygienic place. Highly recommended for people who want to explore Marathi culture.
4.5 Stars...Authentic Maharashtrian food available..Due to lock down some food items were not available
Good ambience, good veg food, mainly for Maharashtrian food, not for Punjabi food
Authentic Maharashtra cuisine. Generally crowded but the service is good and quick.
I am regular visitor since 1999 and food quality maintained till date, slightly expensive and oily stuff but once in while enjoy.
Good authentic Maharashtrian food. You can get loots of variety here. We have ordered some of most common and liked things like thalipeeth and bhakri and all. But you will get lots of variety. Ambience is ok. There is one waahroom for two large hall hotel which in my understanding less. All apart if we take its good.
The place is neither good or bad but its definitely over-rated. Its ideal for non - maharashtrians to have good maharashtrian for here. Being a मराठी I would prefer my home food more. The service is excellent here, no complains about it. It can be slow due to the rush. You might need to wait for a lot of time during weekends. Have a mattha drink for sure!
Good food and taste of North Indian as well as Maharastraian food cusine to taste for.
Chocolate ice cream 😍😍 must recommend but no starters available 😭 9/10 very nice
Good place for Maharashtrian food lovers.. only problem with this place is parking..
Yummy.... Awesome place to visit.. loved the special pithala bhakari thali when went for first time . This time we tried something different just to see how other dishes taste.. paneer butter masala was awesome.. and the shevbhaji..wowww it was yummy but my frnds thought the gravy should be more... With this there was bajari bhakri.. I better say that bajari bhakari tastes good as compared to the jwari bhakari.. the only thing that brought the experience to bad note was aamras .. we ordered just one bowl to taste and I dont know what are the ingredients used in it but it had some essence.. being a maharashtrian I prefer aamras without any essence..The experience was awesome you really must visit this place if you are in Pune
I had visited Mathura restaurant during Lunch time with one of my friend. We wanted to taste food from authentic Maharashtrian cuisine. For a long time, this restaurant was on my wish list. The restaurant is on JM Road, which is one of the busiest road in Pune! Car parking you have to manage by your own. The restaurant has an OK ambiance with two seating sections! We had started with Kothimbir Wadi, Alu Wadi & Masala Tak. Kothimbir Wadi was crunchy & delicious. Alu Wadi was a bit on the sweeter side although tasty! I was disappointed with Masala Tak, it was first of all green colour, I didn’t believe that it was Masala Tak, did confirm with them. Masala Tak was actually full of Mint & the mint flavour was quite prominent. I just didnt like the taste. In the main course we had ordered Mix Veg Kolhapuri, Jwari Bhakari & this time we clearly asked them to serve Plain Tak (White). Mix Veg Kolhapuri was tangy but yummy! Jwari Bhakari was really good, not thick & quite soft. We enjoyed Bhakari, Veg Kolhapuri along with the tangy thecha (pickle served as a side dish). The Plain Tak was really good & quite refreshing. In dessert we had gone for Shir Khand which was OK in taste.Overall satisfied with the meal. Their service was also good. Their staff did inform us that we had ordered too much food, it will be more than enough for two people. I hardly see such gestures from other restaurants! Cost wise, its reasonable! I would definitely visit again & explore their menu.
Good food, alu wadi is very crispy and tasty, good taste
Serivce is worst. Food is good staff is not well trained.
You can get wonderful & delicious Maharashtrian dishes here.
This basically Maharashtrian restaurant serves the thorough menu consisting the taste and spice of Maharashtra. If you are fasting for sankashti you can just get into here to gulp in the scrumptious modaks. You will be just amazed in summer to have Aamras. Just a fine place to have Maharashtrian food.
Great food quality. Nice ambient
Its really nice place must visit little bit costly but its ok bcoz Tasty is Yammy... Special about not sweet as Panjabi restaurant its way cook like tipically MH food must Try Mathura Special dish...its traditional Dish they served which you can see in pic ..as well.now they start to take digital money means Card Payment is acceptable... little bit more time to wait for seat ...
Food quality is good but worst service
All time favorite
Juice was the perfect these days to stay hydrated, i tried a just a orange juice this time but its great taste as always and no sugar added, just a pure taste of perfectly selected oranges.
Great place to have Marathi cusine at reasonable price. Loved the Baigan ka Bharta.
Maharashrian food, good taste..I have tried Kothimbir Vadi, Surali vadi, shev bhaji, etc. at this place and it was delicious.Though service needs to be improved.
Every food item is great. Must try kothiambir wadi.
Food is superb , tasty and yummy .Service is very good.
The food quality is good as per the my opinion...You can try here sizzler...there are four types of sizzler in this...Most of the time I ordered mango Mastani...the mango Mastani is very tasty in desert ....this is the very good option for dinner ....
Tasty hygienic maharashtrian food.
Really nice... Little expensive... But authentic Puneri... I liked the taste... Really good...
Food quality Excellent. Pricing is on costlier side.
Diappointing. Food not upto the mark. Blend of gujrati and marathi food. Chas was along with thali that we took. Requested for saltless chas instead of normal, for which they charged extra.Would not recommend this place
Nice preparation with ample varities to eat. Nice ambience and quick service. Nice place for family members.
Great food, authentic Maharashtrian preparation, recommended for pure vegetarians.
Nice Food..!Good service...!Must visit restaurant for Mahrashtrian food lovers...!
Love the shev bhaji at this place along with buttermilk and kothimbir vadi. Serves authentic maharashtrian food, great taste and must try for all people who love the maharashtrian food.
It use to be very high quality Maharashtrian food joint. But recently the same quality is not observed. The cutlery is also very old. Overall quality is reduced.
Very nice veg food joint, would love to try again
Awesomely maintained taste, Do order , Alu Chi wadi, and Kothmir wada ..just awesome...specialised in Maharashtrian Cuisine..Must try Gavran Thali. They even offer different types of Bhakari. Just awesome
Authentic marathi food served here. Taste was good. Enough seating space, however there is waiting during peak hours plan accordingly.
Feels like home & gavran jevn
Best Hotel for people who love pure veg💫
They change the taste. Old Mathura was the best test wise. Homemade test gone.
Great authentic maharastrian food
Very nice food tried the pavbhaji, cashewnut vegetable, mushroom and pulav...everything was good ..the masala tak was my fav... definitely would recommend...they have lots of options there from punjabi dishes to authentic maharashtian dishes
Good place to experience authentic Maharashtrian food
No courtesy for customers...no parking place...no valet parking..Its like ...we are like THIS..if u want to eat...adjust yourself...
Authentic maharashtrian cuisine!
It is the best place to get Mouthwatering Maharashtrian food. Kothimbir wadi we had was awesome in taste and crispy too. It is a must visit restaurant. We just got disappointed with the Masala Chass..as they serve it with crushed coriander in it which looks green in colour.
Tasty maharashtrian food!!!! Loved it
Service bit slow. But food is good.Visit once to have different taste.Liked kaju masala
Better but not fully satisfied
