The palm trees and the green cover very well hides the seating that was pretty much full and people waiting outside.Went for a morning breakfast and was not disappointed. Both the dishes were decently good. The filter coffee was good too.The menu is not very vast but that saves the confusion. Will definitely visit again to try out more things. If you are looking for an authentic south Indian snack/breakfast place with a warm ambience, do give it a try!
Been here for the first time...The food here tastes typical south indian... Thats what justified the name ... Anna Idli...Had the following,Mysore Dosa,Onion uttapam,Cheese onion uttapam,Idli chutney sambar....Note. Other than the idli plate, in all the other 3, we get not just the chutney n Sambhar but also a small portion of KormaKorma is basically a mix vegetable preparation in southern India, it tastes varies from region to region in South India.Overall a good experience...Note. Rates though dis not justify the taste.
It was a bit difficult to spot the place but somehow we made it, thanks to Google Maps. I heard from my friends that one has to wait for 30-45 mins or more before being seated. Thanks to the current situation, we managed to get a seat without a fuss. The food was excellent although we didn’t try the idlis. Will sure come back for more.
Best place in Pune for authentic South Indian food. The place is neat and clean with a decent seating capacity of around 75 people. Has both indoor and outdoor seating. Waiting time for food once order is placed is max 10 minutes which is great. Friendly staff. I think they have a chance of improvement as far as the taste of sambar is concerned. Overall a great experience. Avoid weekends since its over crowded and waiting time may go up to 45 minutes.
Very nice place to have great morning hygienic South Indian delicacies. Staff is also very helpful and proper / adequate social distancing norms are followed, including cleaning the chairs and table frequently. Loved the dishes and a few more visits are there in the pipeline to enjoy the other offerings. The only issue is to get suitable 4wheeler parking. Would suggest to visit on 2 wheeler or rented cabs, since 4 wheeler parking space is very, very limited.
Veriety of south indian food. Taste is very good. Sitting area is good with hygiene maintained.
I liked the ambience and the food equally. The food quality is really upmarket . I liked Podi Mini Idli and also the Raagi Dosa which were soft. The food is not too spicy and not too light. There is balance of taste.
Wonderful south indian idli dosa and cofee. The chatni and sambar is really very tasty and has original south indian taste.
Went there for breakfast on a Saturday morning and loved it! The variety of idli, dosas is amazing! Very tasty and felt light. Wasnt greasy or heavy- which u feel sometimes after eating dosa. They serve 2 diff chatni other than usual coconut chutney and sambar. All in all a great place for South Indian food!
Love this place..the podi idli, ghee dosa, sheera and filter coffee is my staple order. Always hits d right note.
Veg South indian food. Quality is superb. Must visit place in Baner.
Had one of the amazing dosa there, anna mysore masala dosa. A must have. Also I would give five stars to the service there.
Best place for south indian food. Please do try the Anna Mysore Masala Dosa and Filter coffee...Truely out of the world.
The place is crowded . Well appointed and rhe service is quick too . Food taste is very average. Sambar and chutney is almost insipid.Dosa is a bit thick to be authentic south Indian, Idly in infact is very soft , does melt in yr mouth . Presentation too is good .But overall when the Sambar and chutney which is no where close to South Indian ....what is the point . AVERAGE.not worth the effort and money spent .
Great taste with good ambiance.Good place to taste the South India dishes..
Anna idly sounds like an authentic south indian place, but the taste doesnt match with its name. Its still a good pace to have your meal, ambience is nice also service is good. But taste was disappointing its not much unique or even tasted like south indian breakfast, its like any other south indian resturant.I enjoyed the filter coffee but dosa was not worth the money.crowd was pretty good, you can try this place out with your friends and family :-)
The awesome South Indian Food I have ever had.Authentic south indian flavours.Very much recommended.Only waiting time is the issue. But it was worth waiting for having this much tasty food.
Best South Indian food one can ask for! Ambience is good....Food quality is of gr8 taste! Staff can be more polite though...
The place offers a ideal ambience for the cuisine it offers. Warm welcome with Namaste greetings by every staff, well dressed and groomed staff. The accompaniments like coconut chutney normal, coconut and red chilly semi dry chutney and sambar are spot on in terms of taste and texture. Very decent and traditional presentation on banana leaf for every preparation. Properly cooked moist and delicious upma, idli and dosa. The wada offers a perfect crunch on the crust and perfectly fried most core with absolutely yummy ingredients. Highly recommended.
Been looking for good Podi idli in Pune. Finally ended my search here. Hats off to the service and taste. A repeat customer now :)
Very nice environment. Good service.
Undoubtedly the best Rava Dosa after a long long time. Everything else that we ordered was also too good. The service was perfect with all precautionary steps taken. We also could find the four wheeler parking easily. The staff are very polite and the billing part was also very quick and convenient. It was a perfect family dining experience. Highly recommended.
Good ambience, test was good, but many of the menus was not available which is mentioned in menu card.
Great taste and fast service. However, its bit costly compared to other South Indian joints.
I love their dosai and mini idlis specially. Well sanitized and cleanliness maintained. They are very quick in service and priced well. I enjoy the outdoors sitting arrangements as well.
Good place to eat south indian food. Ambience is very good. The staff and atmosphere is hygienic. We ate Dosa and Medu wada, along with coconut chutney and Sambaar. It was tasty and crispy. The quantity and quality is good, but little costlier. Also to use washroom (which is common for gents and ladies) you have to climb around 15 stairs.
Tasty South Indian food. Very good service given and the food rates are also reasonable. Worth visiting.
The quality of food has decreased surely when i went today for breakfast..The restaurant do not accept any UPI payment.I went without my wallet but thank God i had Samsung pay.
Overrated.. high priced.. nothing special about idlis and dosas..
Yummiest idli.. Loved the Topi dosa . paper Masala Dosa could have been better
Lovely experience , food was great along with authentic taste Im a coffee lover n filter coffee is love❤️ comfortable sitting arrangement... Overall its coming again soon!!!
Fantastic ambience. Sambar is not that good. Please improve this and it will be perfect.
South Indian eatery on Baner-Aundh road.Food was fine. Nothing special. Most of menu items were unavailable.
Awesome taste.Good quality ingredients and great staff makes this place a perfect destination for authentic South Indian meal. From breakfast, mini meals to evening snacks they have options for anytime of the day. Staff is polite and know their menu really well.Quality of food is just too notch. I love their dosa and podi idli. The filter coffee is mandatory after every hearty meal. One the best places in pune for authentic South Indian fare. Every variety is available . Good ambience and quick service , soft idli perfectly made dosa and vada. Try the rice dishes die IAP fir each day of the week.
Taste is detoriating. Over crowded. Should avoid if better options available.
We went there for lunchParking was easily available..Good large space inside, enough seating capacity even for big groupsAmbience is a mix of traditional culture and modern interiors. A mix crowd.Food looked and tasted fantastic. Delicious to the core.Staff is friendly and suggests, is proactive. Helps to understand the menu 😄Recommend to family and friends
Very good items like podi idli and Anna Mysore cheese masala dosa. Very chaotic on weekends, it might take 15 mins for your order to arrive but its worth the wait.Ample sitting space and a nice ambiance, and on a costlier side too. Do ask for khajoor chutney though.
Must visit place for every south Indian lover.. Do try Podi Idli and Masala Dosa/Cheese Masala Dosa.. Very tasty
I liked the ambience of the place inside. They also have a sitting arrangement that is semi outside, very well ventilated. I had Idli Sambar and Mendu Vada Sambar. Both the dishes were well cooked and freshly made. They must improve their service in terms of communication between the customer and the attendant/waiter.
Sambhar was pathetic. Ghee roast dosa was not as tasty as I expected it to be. Bisibele bhath could have been much tastier. Service was not good. We had to repeated3ask for sambhar and chutney. Red chutney was served only after we demanded it.In short, avoid this place if you want to have good south Indian food.
1. One of the best South Indian restaurants in Baner.2. Located on Baner road.3. Polite and descent staff.4. Nice ambience.5. Normal price for most of the items.
Ambiance is quite good and service is fairly fast as well. Though food options are limited. Paper Dosa/Topi Dosa and Ghee Idli are a must try! Other options are okayish.
Taste waa amazing but there were flies around so need to look after cleanliness!
Best Udupi food I ever had. Variety and taste is juss woww.
Its a perfect stop for the craving South Indian tongues in the city. Went there to get take away for our family who were staying in the nearby hotel and amazed with the ambience & service these guys provide. Guys are so courteous here and serve you smile. As a South Indian myself, liked the quality & taste of the food very much. Its not authentic but matching the localites taste without taking a huge margin on the originality. Overall, a great South Indian delight!!
Food is just ok nothing special in it. Its not authentic. You can eat better Idalithan these on small stall . Quantity is very less.
THE PLACE WQS AMAZING. LOVED THE DOSAS. AND THE IDLIS TOO!!BUT YOU WANNA KNOW THIS FACT THAT THEIR MENU IS PRETTY LIMITED, AND ALSO THEY COULD IMPROVE THEIR CLEANLINESS, AS IT WAS NOT UPTO THE EXPECTATION MARKS. BUT OVERALL, GOOD FOOD AND STAFF!!MUST EAT THERE IS YOU VISIT PUNE.
Authentic south Indian food and great service at Anna Idli as always. Idli lovers must try their special Mallige idli - a spongy buttery take on the traditional idli. Make sure to ask for their imli chutney, which is to die for, as an accompaniment. Also recommend their ghee roast dosas and medu wada.
Anna idli is well known for their authentic south Indian veg snacks offerings.they have many branches located in pune serving multiple locations.we tried podi idli, tomato onion chilli uttpam, mysore masala dosa and mysore Cheese masala dosaambience 3/5food 4/5Service 4/5VFM 3/5overall 4/5
Nothing special any other normal hotel will give you better taste than this one.
If you want authentic Tamil sambar and chutney dont go here!!! The main food items are good but not the accompaniments!!
Anna Idli has to be one of the best restaurants to enjoy south Indian food. They have quality as well as quantity. Prices are slightly on higher side but they are worth every bite. They have huge seating, outdoor as well as indoor. Place is very clean and service is at its best. Also staff is polite and service is fast. Easy to locate as it is on thr main road. Must try, for everyone!
This is a budget friendly south Indian restaurant. Hospitality of this place is ultimate. Service is quick. All types of payment mode are available here. This place offers reservation before visit to avoid the queue since this one is a happening place in Baner. You can order from zomato as well online. Quality and quantity are genuine.
Great place for breakfast!!
Nice dining south Indian joint in pune with good ambience . But serving did not start on time 7 am on the day of my visit
Place was neat and clean. Food was delicious. Hygienic and tables santisised. Good place to have authentic south indian food.
Loved the food. Podi Idli specially. Must tryyy.
The food is good here, specially idlis and meduvada. Ambience is okaish and try to visit the place when its not over crowded i.e. Weekdays. Because on weekends its hard to get table and also service gets impacted due to lots of customers.
This place serves authentic South Indian food. The service here is quite fast and staff is very courteous. Food is also very delicious. Whether you want to have a quick bite or a proper meal, this a place for you. Do try kanchipuram idlli. Menu is also quite exhaustive.
Service was good...however the quality the taste of food was below average...definitely not for South Indian taste buds
Service was extremely slow, we had to wait for 20 mins just to place the order and another 20 for the food. I had ordered a masala dosa - the dosa was bland and the bhaji was bland too. My friend had ordered a set dosa, it was so thick, it felt like an uttapam.Disappointed.
Its a lovely place with best Mysore masala dosa and filter coffee. We had idli, kanchipuram idli, cheese corn masala dosa, Mysore masala dosa, medu vada and filter coffee. The food proportion, taste and quality of food is excellent, service was fast as compared to the Saturday rush, hence kudos for fast and efficient service!Loved the place interior too.
