Situated amidst hundreds of plants, this place is perfect for plant lover/nature lovers and people who love outdoor restaurants. Undoubtedly one of the best restaurants in Pune. Everything is so so good about this place. From the ambiance to the food everything was perfect. The staff was friendly and welcoming and i just cant get over the food and my whole experience at the restaurant. It was too good. Id highly recommend visiting this place if you even have an chance and dont forget to try the Brie & Phyllo Parcels, its their best selling dish, its something Ive never tasted before and not even seen at any other restaurant ever!

Truly unprofessional. I had called them a day earlier to confirm if dine in is allowed the next day. They said it is allowed and you can come by. When we reached there, they denied. Amazing ambience, absolutely delicious food, and super cozy. If you are coming here with family, you will likely to be seated in the tents installed at the periphery; central seating is for people who would usually order for drinks. Mocktails seemed below average unfortunately; didnt feel the ingredients were fresh. have been trying to find some really good paneer tikka pizza; and this place does have it indeed! Not too saucy gravy; perfect amount of cheese. Corn cheese cigars - again minimal required about of cheese; and pesto spaghetti - it was a little bit runny but really no complains other than that! Pesto didnt have too strong basil flavor which worked for me.Very spacious, did already say that? You can have your meal at your leisure; it would work if you want to chill and hang and chat with your friends and family :)

Multiple times saw the place from outside and always wanted to visit it. Finally that happened and it was blissful. The ambiance, music, food and rain everything made the celebration more enjoyable.The service was a bit slow and staff was less too but overall had a great experience. Tried some new food items and they were amazing.The staff was really helpful. Because of heavy rain i decided to park my Vehicle overnight in their parking, and take a can instead. I was a bit worried but they took full responsibility and i collected my vehicle in morning.Had a really wonderful time here hoping to visit soon again.

The ambiance of the restaurant is positive and beautiful! The food quality is bit on the expensive side. The seating arrangement is contemporary. Also, lot of space between them allows one to have a private conversation. The servers are dressed well and are polite and courteous. Restroom was clean. Parking is ample for bikes. Cars is also available. Definitely whole place is excellent to take pictures.

Being a holiday ,it was bound to get packed especially after the lockdown opened,people were expected and service and cleaning could have been planned better . Only big tables were attended and small tables were lagging a bit on the service part. Kitchen to table service could have been better to the table and speedy too. I guess the owner /manager present could have forseen a better Management.Taste and menu is good and makes up for the negative part. Overall a good part but definitely can do better.

This one is a new place I recently explored. I visited along with my siblings. I loved the ambiance here. They have outdone themselves with the superb interiors and decor. The tables, chairs, plants, lights are just awesome. The cutlery was sanitized and clean. The food was really good. The veg kebab platter was awesome and had a variety of good kebabs. The wrinkled fries were good too. The mains and the rotis were awesome and the egg biryani was just perfectly spiced and too yumm. Lived everything but it comes at a huge price. Paying Rs. 120 for a masala papad is definitely not worth it. Their menu is also very limited and not much choice.

If you really want to experience Exclusive dishes and delicious making of international Cuisines,this place is best. But you should be lucky enough to get the table soon, we had waited for 1 hour 20 minutes to get it. But its worth waiting.

Roots 9 is a place located under a 150 year old banyan tree, hence its named as ROOTS 9 after the roots hanging of the tree. This places mainly serves continental, north Indian and finger food.AMBIENCEThis place has one of the most beautiful ambience in this vicinity. 95% of the place is opened to natural air. This place is divided into many sections. There are sections for couples, family. The bar section is the only section which is air conditioned. It also have 5 gazebo section. They also have a rooftop which is only functional when they have private parties or on some special occasions. The rooftop has its own bar too. The entire place is covered under trees which makes your dining experience refreshing.

The food menu is great as well and the staff makes great recommendations depending on your ask. At the entrance there is banyan tree with it all encompassing roots may have given the name and creates a different atmosphere. The place inside with plenty of plants and trees creates real outdoor seating experience. The warm caring service adds to this atmosphere of relaxation as your server takes the time to understand your individual preferences. The menu is limited not so funky except a few names is tastey and fresh. This places mainly serves continental, north Indian and finger food.- The food is good and ambiance is excellent (4*).- Food service takes a while but worth waiting. Quality of food is outstanding. Quantity is also very good (5*)- Service is great and very friendly staff. (5*)- Cleanliness is throughout the premises. (5*) Being riverside a lot of mosquitoes especially in tents.- Moderately costly. Good place to have lunch or dinner with family & friends.

One of the worst experience with my family. We asked for 100 Piper which they served large peg first. After 15 mts. we asked to repeat same then attendant came and says that 100 piper is not available in stock and we have to order another brand if we want to continue. This is something unusual experience but you have no choice now. He suggest he had black and white in stock. So by very hard heart we order which he not delver although waiter came after 10 mts saying it is also not available then we ask for manager to come and explain what really is going on. Manager explain that drink is not available since rush is high and other guest exhausted their stock (absurd answer) . Then we order balentine which makes available to us. So we are at mercy of restaurant at that time and have to take cocktail. first time I am seeing any bar saying they do not have whiskey brands after serving first peg.Secondly we asked for normal water which waiter served in glass but when we ask to keep the Jar at table as it reqd for drink, they refused saying as a protocol its not allowed. We by no choice have to order for mineral water bottle and to pay for it. This is their tactics to sale bottle. They are giving you plates/Glass and all comes under protocol but not Normal water Jar/mugfood is one of the pathetic and highly priced and should not be tasted.restaurant is so costly with such a pathetic services. if someone really want to spoil their evening this is best place.

Roots 9 is a place with so many different sitting arrangements. The place literally have 7 diff sittings. You can enjoy with your date, friends, family or colleagues.In Beverages I liked Mexican melon, Mexicali, Beeritaahhh and Tipache.Beeritaahhh is something you should try if you are a lover of Beer.Red Beans Taco Soup - The quantity was huge. It was served in a huge bowl with tacos in it. The soup was of slurry texture. It was filled with beans, avocado, tomatoes, onions and tacos. The taste was outstanding. It was spicy, tangy and yummy.Tortillas - In veg they have red beans and paneer in option. I loved the paneer more. The tacos were stuffed with a marinated and sauteed paneer slice, guacamole, tomatoes, onions and cheesy sauce. It was tangy, spicy, fresh, little crunchy and scrumptious.Churros - I loved the creativity here. The churros were filled with Nutella inside. They were little crunchy from outside and softer from inside. The sweetness was balanced. The taste was heavenly.Fried ice cream with cocoa shot - They were small balls of fried icecream served with cocoa shot. The fried icecream was crunchy, less oily and perfect in taste. The cocoa shot enhanced the taste of it. It was medium sweet, chocolatey and marvellous.

Very good place for food and cocktails. The food was really incredible and the service is really good and quick. It probably might be the fastest when it comes to getting your food after order. The sofa seating though is extremely squishy and uncomfortable.

The aura is very good but service not up to the mark. Expensive dishes and quantity is too less. when we entered they told us to order till 9.30pm. later we saw they were allowing people at 10 pm. Due to lot of trees there were mosquitoes. We ordered chicken wings and there were suggesting not to take because its very spicy. But it turned out to be sweet. So I would not suggest this place. Every dish here is well curated and has it own speciality.Coming back to what foodiesoulmates hogged on-Complimentary bread basket- This basket comprised of assorted in-house breads focaccia and ciabatta, with 3 different dips. It is light on your palate. The breads were very soft and fresh and went well with all 3 dips. Baba ganoush was my favorite dip among all.Salads-Im not a salad person tbh but trust me their salads will blow you mind.1. Quinoa rich fibre salad- Quinoa along with green apple,veggies and green leaf oil drizzled on it is a great option to go with.2. Lettuce salad with walnuts and apple- Lettuce served along with walnuts, green apple and apple cider vinegar. The crunchy texture of walnuts present in the salad went really well with greens and tangy flavour of green apple. My favorite indeed.3. The Roots signature salad- I was amazed to see this salad. This salad is produced out of 16 varied exquisite ingredients. Every ingredient has health benefits. The main base of this salad is the cucumber fat.A healthy yet tasty option.Soups-Kashmiri chicken soup- The authentic chicken broth indeed. It also comprised of saffron in it so the overall flavour was top notch.Appetizers-1. Zafrani chicken tikka- Its a mughlai dish where succulent chicken chunks were well marinated and then cooked in saffron,cheese and cashews. It was flavoursome dish. Do give it a try.2. Multani paneer tikka- Soft rolls of cottage cheese were marinated with spices and had a hint of sandalwood. Loved it!Main course-1. Chicken roots style- Chicken breast was fried to perfection with various spices and served with south style tomato rice and nuts.2. Black Rice Thai curry- Rice black rice served along with green Thai curry and topped with sautéed veggies.3. Hyderabadi kothmiri chicken- Green chicken curry with chicken chunks cooked to perfection.4. Dum ka murg- A perfect main course. This curry was made with various spices and the overall blend of it was rich in taste. In addition to this consistency was thick.5. Dal makhani- I highly recommend you to try their dal makhani. Best i had in a while. Punjab originated dish is cooked in cream and butter hence the texture is very smooth and creamy. The consistency is thick as well. Best!6. Hyderabadi Dum Biryani- Rich aroma of rice and flavours of spices along with soft chicken will leave you craving for more.Desserts-Baklava, baba au rhum, tiramisu and choco lava are my favorite out of all. Do give it a try! These desserts are rich in taste and definitely a sinful treat to your taste buds.Mocktails-No to G&T - My favourite of course. Base here was of lime juice supplemented with tonic juice.Overall a great place which will appeal you by its tropical setting and its lush green ambience. Had delightful experience here.

Nice restaurant on the DP road. Ambience is nice with lots of plants well placed in the restaurant. Seating is very comfortable with low seating couches. Staff is very efficient and well trained. Service is fast and efficient. Chicken Kashmiri Soup was like a chicken broth with saffron in it - nice and warming. Chicken Mangalore had brilliant taste of coconut milk with tender chicken, it could have been served a bit more hot (temperature) considering the cold temperatures and outside seating. Creme Bruele was excellent with a nice cracking layer on top with some burnt coffee arome on it. Roti and steam rice was as is every where else. It a very nice place for a good meal in a nice setting.

Refreshing experience. Great location on raja mantri road. You will be welcomed and treated always with genuine smile and extra care. Enough space so no need for reservation, food is pricey though. Food was good. Although less options in vegetarian. Good variety of cocktails and mocktails. Cozy seating. Great Ambience. Natural vibe... Also the staff provided good service. Loved it!

I guess the name comes from a huge banayan tree located at the entrance of the restaurant. Tastefully done with a lot of outdoor seating complimented by flora and fauna. Its a multicuisine joint like most outlets located on the DP road near Mhatre bridge. Portion size are good , but need to work on their menus. As they miss the wow factor when it comes food and beverage.

Avearge quality of food. Some of the basic dishes missing in the menu.. Poor service.. long waiting time.. inadequate parking ... But very nice ambience. Very nice use of trees surroundings..

Food and ambience is great! The reason for not rating 5 is because they insist you to pay service charge which is not mandatory and it is at the discretion of the customer..!!

Very warm and pleasant ambience, food is good and unique, if you like it hot its not for you otherwise very good taste, it was my first time experience of having baklava and it was really good 😋

Excellent place to unwind..... beautiful setting ......two huge Banyan trees and a Buddha statue set the tranquil mood. Food is very good too, sumptuous portions .... Drinks are on dear side if I am to find fault 🙂

Nice ambience, Convenient location, Ample veg and non veg options. Drinks available. Very delicious food. Those who drink, Roots 9 is a very good option. A bit costly.

A bit on the expensive side considering there is no other full bar option available in the nearby area. Ambiance is good and a bit cozy. Can improve a bit more on the food taste. Good to have beer and chill with friends.

Amazing decor and ambience, the food is lovely albeit a tad overpriced. Perfect place to celebrate an occasion and to go out with your family/SO/friends. They show premier league matches on the projector screen which is an additional plus for football fans like myself!

Food is good, service is fast and efficient.However, when we visited, there were patrons smoking inside the restaurant, when as per regulations, all public places such as restaurants are supposed to be non smoking. The staff and management were either unable or unwilling to do anything about it.On the food, we can recommend the Barbeque Chicken, Crème Caramel, Baklava, and Crème Brulee.The rest of the huge menu is standard Indian fare, with a distinct slant towards North Indian cuisine.They have parking for two wheelers inside the premises. Not sure about arrangements for four wheelers.
