If youre interested in historical and very early instruments dating back centuries, this is the place for you!Absolutely get the audio guide because, for most instruments, you can electronically scan with the audio guide and listen instruments being played. Otherwise, you only get to read about the instruments but not hear them.

Люблю этот музей. Прекрасные концерты. Хороший камерный зал, хороший звук. Вчера слушала New life brass.

Wonderful museum. The instruments collected in it amaze with their history: (Stradivari violins), ethnographic instruments, old and not so old. Here you can study the geography of the world and sounds. You can also get to the magnificent organ concerts, they are held every month according to the schedule (by the way, with a ticket to the concert, you can visit the main exposition of the museum). There is also an interactive exhibition music and, where you can touch and listen to everything (albeit with headphones).

Come to the museum to jump and shout? Yes, if it is an interactive exhibition Sound and ... Universe, Man, Game ...! at the Russian National Museum of Music in Moscow, at ul. Fadeeva, 4.This exhibition is already 5 years old, but we just got to it.In addition to entrance tickets (400 rubles - adults, 200 rubles - children), we also took an individual excursion for 1400 rubles. You can study all the subjects in the halls and on your own, without a guide, of course. But I myself would have missed a lot of interesting exhibits, without even realizing what they are, in fact, about. There are 9 halls at the exhibition:☑️ The origin of sound - here you can hear the sounds of the Universe in complete darkness: electromagnetic waves converted into stereo-format by scientists from NASA.☑️ The sons favorite hall is Nature, which gives viewers the opportunity to create the sounds of three of the Four Elements themselves: Wind - with the help of wind instruments, Earth - percussion, and Water - strings.☑️ In the City hall you can play nocturne on the downpipe flute, or rather, on pipes and spades. Or listen to the voices of the worlds largest capitals: Moscow, Tokyo, Beijing, London, Delhi, New York ... Or listen to what is happening behind the wall, at the neighbors ...☑️ In the Physics hall you can learn how the human ear works, or see a real ultrasonic wave.☑️ In the Man hall, record a track with your own voice, define your timbre, or guess the emotion of a person speaking, for example, in Japanese, Finnish or Hungarian.☑️ Instruments - here you can play the electric drum, electric violin or electric piano.☑️ Composer - create your own melody or take refuge in the room of Absolute Silence.☑️ Orchestra - listen to works in each of the most popular musical genres, from opera to jazz.☑️ Well, the childrens room, of course. With musical instruments and cartoons.

Good day! We planned to visit this museum, as we read positive reviews. We chose one of the excursions on the site. They called to sign up and we were told that the excursion was 1200 rubles + the price of the entrance ticket (as it turned out, on the 1st floor out of 2, since the visit to each exhibition is paid separately). Of course, for me this is a large amount, but we decided to go, as the reviews are positive. The only thing that we did not take into account was that we visited the museum on the 3rd floor. An interactive museum where you can really touch and see everything. The ticket cost 400 rubles for adults and 250 rubles for children. The given price for the museum is justified. But we took an excursion, which can only be an individual or a group. But group tours are not provided. Individual (up to 3 people) costs 1200 rubles. This excursion is not worth the money and does not make sense. There are no complaints about the guide. Its just that in the interactive museum you can figure it out on your own. Unfortunately, this fact was upsetting, since 1200 rubles is a significant amount of money for our family. In addition, we wanted to see all types of instruments that are located on the 2nd floor, and these are separate tickets and a separate amount of the tour. That is about 2,000 rubles for 2 people. I think that an excursion on the 2nd floor of the museum is more justified, since the history of the instrument is interesting to listen to.

Great museum! Now, an exhibition of unique violins has been added to the usual exposition of musical instruments. I was with the baby, showed her different instruments from gusli to terminvox, so I didnt look carefully, but we both stayed with interest for a long time on the 3rd floor (entrance with separate tickets) at the interactive exhibition Sound and ... Universe. Man. Game ...I would like to talk about the latter separately and recommend! Was with a child 2.5 years old, who liked 3/4 of the exhibition! Everything is active, interesting, informative for both the child and the adult (I am 56, and I regretted that where the baby was not interested, I cannot hang out. There it was possible to extract sounds from some musical instruments such as ukulele, ratchet, tambourines, wind chimes, synthesizer and even electronic violin and drums, there were also pots, and sewer pipes, and other things from everyday life, on which you can play or extract sounds, and cars with motorcycles, sounds of different cities, different types of music (we were given headphones and we connected to the interactive panel). Also, sound and ultrasonic waves, a room of silence, in general, I really liked it.Ideal, of course, is to bring your own wired headphones, especially for children.I recommend to go urgently, as there will be renovations in July, then the exposition will be changed. There is a quiz on the knowledge of music, and a hearing test, and the definition of your voice, and voice recording and mixing with sending to e-mail. And there are even cartoons in the childrens room, but I distracted my baby from cartoons, fortunately there was something. Then in 15 minutes we walked around the museum, since she was only interested in seeing, but there, if you wish, you can read about the instruments and listen to their sound, also on an interactive panel with headphones. The two-year-old was bored, but looked at all the instruments with pleasure. Alas, you cannot touch the instruments in the museum, in contrast to the interactive 3 floors.Tickets for interactive for children under 16 years old 250 rubles, and for adults 400 rubles. The museum has a privilege for pensioners (250 rubles a ticket), children 2 years old (judging by the ticket up to 16) - free of charge, but for those over 3 years old, I cant say for sure. Nevertheless, the money spent is not a pity! Had a great time! The museum also works on Sobyanin weekend, when the playgrounds and the zoo were closed.

The museum combines the classical part - exhibits in a historical context and modern technology - an interactive exhibition. With children it is very interesting to try to play different instruments, listen to how the cities of the world sound and much more. But adults will be delighted! If you buy tickets online in advance, you won’t have to stand at the box office for a long time. Cool souvenirs are sold there - and many buyers are stuck with a choice, and there is a queue. Live tours with different themes are recruited several times a day, but you can rent an audio guide. The cafe on the ground floor has delicious desserts!

The child of five years frankly missed. Theres nothing to do there. Half of the exhibits do not work. There are no explanations how to use the exhibits. For example, hang the microphones from the ceiling, say in them - nothing happens. Thank you, the guard suggested that you need to cover your microphone with your hands to make it work. And so with most of the exhibits - its unclear what to do with them.Be careful: on the second floor on some instruments you can play, but for some there is not. There are no tablets explaining whether it is possible to play on a specific instrument. The guards and staff are very aggressive: they shouted at us with the children that the children started playing the piano in ignorance. My youngest daughter was very frightened and asked to leave. But it was enough to say calmly that you can not play on this instrument. The toilets are only on the first floor, there are no signs for floors toilets. There are audio guides, but they are not offered, ask yourself. In general, for 2 thousand rough staff, non-working and not understandable exhibits. I do not recommend it to anyone.
