It is basic architecture all around India for apartments to have Sun Shades (sajjas) outside windows, for the basic purpose of ensuring water and even sunlight doesnt hit windows directly. This building, for some strange reason didnt have sunshades. The consequence to it was water inside the apartments through the windows, especially the top floors. After residents complained multiple times, well after a year, the builder obliged with this sunshade you see in the photograph. Did it work? Absolutely not. Thats the reason for the bedsheets hung outside the windows. Its a sad state of affairs.
