Great place to daily visit near mahatma society Kothrud

Kothrud tekdi is really a very good place. There are several ponds on it, which have flowers and ducks in it, there is a place full of trees and there is a big ground to play games. We can also fly toys. I like this place.

Welcoming, pleasing Green cover in the hustle and bustle of city. Refreshing.

Kothrud Tekdi also referred as Sahajanand Tekdi spans from Kothrud to Warje and is good place for morning walk, evening walk or even hike . You can even run for about 4 km to and fro on Tekdi from Sahajanand to Warje .

Not as popular as other such spots in Pune, but its location made it popular amongst the people living nearby. Can climb from different routes. Not accessible by vehicles.

It is awesome place with fresh air.

Most of people go there at early morning for jogging and morning walk. You can also see sunrise easily from here. There are small lakes formed and surprisingly sometimes you can see lotus if you are lucky.

It is a very good place for doing morning walk. On top of this place there are many trees planted by the forest ministry.Lot of people come here for doing the morning exercises and meditation because it is a very peaceful place.Lots of small lakes are here in which we can see occasionally lotus flowers and ducks. On top of this tekdi there is a playground thats why many group of friends come to this place for playing cricket.

In the daily hustle and bustle of the city life, one gets to walk through this Tekdi (Hill) where they can feel relaxed. There are many trees on surrounding the borders of hill (Thanks to many organisations and individuals for planting and taking care of these trees and not letting use this land to landlords). In close vicinity of Kothrud (Mahatma Society) and Warje, having Mumbai-Bangalore highway passing through other side of the hill (Its broken down into two parts due to highway). Natural track for run/walk, many play cricket here in the morning on weekends.Need more plantation and conservation of trees.Some bad elements have dumped the garbage at one corner of Tekdi but that should not be problem now(ideally) as fencing is done.My regular place for morning walk.

Its a good exercise to climb the Tekdi and have a morning walk. The tekdi has a flat top spread in about 20 -25 acres with plantation in about 5 acres.The plantation has achieved a height of about 12-15 feet. It is being maintained well.There is a pond which is a resultant of of stones taken out for crushing for building material. One can overview kothrud ,Bawdhan ,Mumbai highway ,and on the other side Karwe nagar & Warje.
