A peek into the history of Maratha and independence movement. It has a good collection of antiquities. Small place lot of stuff cramped up and not maintained well. Good for locals but not for others. Most of the descriptions are in local language if it has some common language also explaining each artifacts then itll attract foreigners and other state people as well.

This museum gives a glimpse of history. It has a small collection of historical artifacts, mostly metallic. Though the presentation could be a lot better. A nice place with eminence historical value. Very much educating. Only issue, all details about artifacts are in regional language and no guides available.Common, how are you going to spread your culture if the visitors would not understand a bit of it. Rather remote and youve to climb a hill to reach the museum. However, there is a proper entrance with steps to the place but Google maps misled me and led me to a back entrance. So dont rely on Google maps to find this place, navigate to Parvati Hill instead of Peshwa Museum. The museum was fantastic, depicting Maratha history, with exquisite paintings, weapons, utensils. I guess they do not expect outsiders here as the exhibits had write ups only in Marathi and I had to rely on my partial knowledge of the language. Couldve been better if there was English as well.

This place held a special spot in my heart for the variety of coins it has as a collection right from the Mughal and British Raaj. Moreover it covers everything that Peshwas used in their day routine. This place needs some sort of maintenance and the presentation should also be renewed so as to attract more visitors. Though entry fee is really fair and within that it offers really more.

This place is a small collection of non descript items from scattered remains of the Maratha Empire. You reach this place after some effort, climbing up the Parvati hill, hoping youd find some really exquisite views of the Peshwa court. But youre met with an old collection of trinkets from old houses, copies of old paintings and to top it off, theres barely any description of anything. Almost all of the stuff is explained solely on Marathi and you cant make any heads or tails of anything. Best avoided, unless youre wondering how to kill time at the top of the hill

They have a good collection of items.... But theres no information available. Most of the data is in Marathi. But not all visitors would know Marathi. Additionally I think the display and maintainence is poor. They have a good numismatic collection but again, no information, no way to study the obverse and reverse of the coins. The weapons collection looks terrible, its so caked with rust.Overall Id not go again. They have good items but just dont understand how to maintain it.
