The school dates back to even before the declaration of Indian independence and is of historic importance to the local people since most of the elderly nearby were educated here.It is a regular venue for Kerala government PSC examinations.Also the schools ground facility is popular in the locality, numerous local football and cricket tournaments along with coaching camps are hosted here.I too grew up playing in the aforementioned ground.
