Parking Is an issue because of the location of the restaurant, decor was nice and service was good. The serving was generous however I found it to be quite bland and a bit light on the coconut cream. There was no basil at all in my dish which I was disappointed with. I would’ve liked more rice as I felt it wasn’t enough compared to the size serving I received. I had water and the water tasted muddy, perhaps this is Pukekohe water?, I don’t know. Price was $21 for the meal and $3 for the rice. All in all I probably wouldn’t try Little Thai again as it was near the bottom of Thai food experiences I’ve tried.First time Ive ever added to a review but Id go further now to say the owner has issues with people leaving reviews that arent favourable to his business. not all meals come with basil and the rice is $2 not $3 Ive added pics of the menu saying it comes with basil and the bill to confirm the meals price and the total. Id suggest avoiding the place altogether as your dining experience maybe tainted by the review comments if you dont like the place like myself. Theres way better Thai around and much nicer owners.To the owner, maybe take the criticism as constructive and change your methods of reply. People look at whats written like myself before I ate at your establishment, but decided to give it a go anyway. As for the part of a group comment?, I assure you I have no idea what your issue is?, but i am independent of whoever you suspect to be conspiring against you with reviews. Youre your own worst enemy mate, you dont need help to finish your business!!

This place was that bland we drove 20 minutes back into town to order from the other Thai place and during that trip my car ran out of fuel which is also like to say is your fault.Other then that the man on the phone was very polite.

What in the world is Pukekohe eating? How can you give this restaurant 5 stars. After spending nearly $60 on two dishes and rice we are regretting our decision. The food is bland, watered down curries with little to no meat. The worst massamun Ive ever had. Garbage pieces of beef like if its been picked off the bone. If you want to eat good Thai food,head to Auckland spoilt for choice. Spend your money wisely and dont fall in the trap its near to the area so well try it. Horrible youre all being fooled into eating sub-par food.

Ive been here few times but the chicken pad Thai that I ordered today was horrible. I dont remember having pad Thai that tasted so weird. Almost like rotten! Unfortunately, I had to return the dish. There was no apology or offer to order another dish but they made me pay for it.*had to edit this because I cant reply to comments. I know Pad Thai has eggs but its not supposed to taste like rotten! I always order Pad Thai, therefore, know what its supposed to taste like. We do appreciate food. Hence, swallowed the blend soup but after that Pad Thai I literally sat there starving while my company finished their meal. I wish I read the recent reviews before coming in today but hey thanks for the pathetic experience. Will definitely choose fast food before (rather than after) coming to a restaurant like yours and starving.

New to pukekohe so thought to try takeout. Sadly, very bland food. Not authentic as advertised. No flavour base at all. Very very very bland for thai food. Not an expert but an avid fan of thai food and this place misses the mark totally. Sorry guys, but you dont have to compromise flavour for heat,if thats the reason for the bland.Sadly we will save the thai experience for city visits.

Can I give a 0 star for this place?We ordered tum yum soup, a chicken and 2 prawns. The Prawn tom yum soup was blend just like prawns in some water without the actual taste of tom yum, ginger, lemongrass. It was so blend that it didnt make sense. When having the chicken tom-yum and then the prawn one, it was extremely different.For mains, we ordered Chicken Cashew nuts, Chicken in Oyster Sauce and Chicken Pad Thai. My Oyster Sauce dish was blend as well like the tom-yum sauce, edible but taste the salt, oyster sauce or anything else.Well the Pad Thai was served 1st and straight away it was so pathetic that all 3 of us didnt like it. The dish smelled eggy even without taking a bite from the plate and when you have a bite it, it was even more pathetic. We sent the dish back straight away and told the person who served us.Upon getting the bill, i was billed for all dishes even though we returned the Pad Thai dish. The person at the counter and the person who served us both said they do not refund for dishes that have been returned if the customer doesnt like it. Then they kept on saying that the same food is served to all. I am not sure if the same food is served to all then whats the point to made to order at such restaurants.Pathetic service, didnt even offer for a replacement dish for the Pad Thai and even being arrogant. Last time I would go this place.

I ordered takeaway Chicken Pad Thai $19.00, and spring rolls $10.00 (for 5). Really happy with the quality and flavour of the food! I wouldnt exactly call it authentic Thai but its delicious nonetheless.Its slightly pricey for takeaway Thai from my experience. However, they did give well sized portions. Looking forward to trying more of the menu and dining in next time.

I went here with my husband who loves Thai food, and after the hour and a half wait for food, we were not happy with the food. My husband asked for medium pad thai, and what he received was a bland, tasteless plate of food. I had chicken, and had to hunt for the few pieces on my plate. We asked for extra napkins, and more water, neither came... waitress we had I dont think spoke english. Definitely dont recommend,.and wont be going back.

Returned to Little Thai after a bit of time away and believe it may have changed hands. We all found the meals to be a bit bland and flavourless and tasting the same which was weird as we clearly had quite different dishes. The waitress was friendly and helpful and the meals arrived fast. The decor of the restaurant is very traditional and pretty. It was unfortunately the meals that let the place down.

Went on a saturday for dinner there were only 4 tables filled a lot of empty tables some with dirty plates not cleared. We waited 40 minutes only to be told they run out of rice and if we dont mind waiting for extra 15mins. The waiter seems to be doing everything while the person at the counter just embarrassingly sat & watches the dirty dishes still on the table. After more than an hour the food arrived the sizzle beef is like rubber. This is the worst service I have ever come across in a restaurant. They blame it on the many walk ins not competent. If you want Thai food in Pukekohe go to Muang Thai 200% better

The restaurant has had a overhaul since our last visit, really nice decor.I had the Duck Basil, and my wife had the Chicken Yellow Curry. Although mine was quite tasty and filling, I felt their was not enough duck, it felt overwhelmed by the amount of vegetables. My wife did say how much she enjoyed her meal.The staff were very attentive.Wont stay away so long next time.

We visited this lovely place on the last Friday. The food was great, place was clean and service was prompt and friendly.Only suggestion: chicken basket in the kids menu might better be called chips basket. Other than this, we loved the dining experience and we look forward to returning.

Restaurant standard dropped dramatically. Worst green Thai curry Ive had - brown watery goop. The fish yellow curry full of large chunks of undercooked potato. The basil duck vege dish ordinary but $24 for small container - horribly over priced. 90+ dollars for 3 poor quality dishes and 2 entres

Me & Husband come here almost every weekend all the way from Takanini(if I work weekends we ask our family to get takeaways) just because we love Thai Food and there’s no one in Auckland that makes better Thai food than Little Thai . The lady who serves us is always warm and polite and remembers our orders .this place has short waiting time ,beautiful ambience , lovely staff , amazing food and reasonable price . Coming here all the time and will continue to do so .

Beef and ginger was nice, I chose it because I liked the 3 vegies it came with, sadly a lot extra vegies were added, cauliflower, celery and capsicum (react to capsicum). Wouldnt go back

Bad service, didnt feel welcome, felt more like we were a burden. The food was mostly bad. Masseman curry, beef was chewy and inedible, too much fish sauce so it had that gross smell. Entrees were straight out of a box, mushy prawn cutlets, no garnish or love at all. No love or good vibes at this place. Very disappointed wont go back.

Not good with chef who are Thais husband and wife.Very disappointed green curry prawn tastwd no where green but startchy and sweet. the cashew chicken was sweet again...but tasted much better the the Larb chucken or green curry prawn. Larb chicken cane out watery, no where tasted like the authentic Larb. Even my kiwis friend said it was tasteless. Could hardly taste the lemin nor were there any fish sauce or pounded roasted rice.
