Very dirty, crowded and badly maintained place from the public side, but the workers try their best to keep the bus stand nice and are approachable. Meanwhile there are a lot of unwanted loiterers disturbing unecisary. Improper timings and arrangement of seats inside buses. Necisary action must be taken the day improve. Although there is a cutely placed bird house if u can spot it ;)

The new Bus stand is much organised and buses await as per the routes, great help to passenger. The staff are friendly. Get good shops for quick bites south Indian flavours.

Not much organised being a government owned bus stand. Toilets and hygene is very low. No proper display of departure schedule and routes. Not an easy place for outsider who doesnt know to read or speak local language like tamil

You get buses to all the major places from here. AC buses to Chennai ply only in the early morning and in the afternoon. So if you have to travel from Pondi to Chennai from 10am to 1pm you will need to take a normal bus.

Right in the middle of town with connections to Chennai and Villupuram. AC buses to Cuddalore too. share Autos to nearby places. Public facilities are okay and so are the eateries, if you explore for a km or 2 you have world class stuff.

Good place ... close to main city... In Pondicherry dont take auto rickshaws, as they charge very high... better go with Ola or Uber that u may feel cheeper when compared to auto...

I am using this bus stand regularly to chennai, this place is very clean and neat.. police support also good to regulate. Lot of buses are avil to chennai and Cuddalore. Pondicherry govt also running their busses to chennai and karaikal and velanganni. Shops are avail morning 4am to 10.30 pm only. There after you cant buy anthing here. Last bus to villupuram 12am.

Pretty average large bus station. Its close enough to town that you can walk- dont get ripped off by the rickshaw drivers.

To chennai AC bus will cost 200₹ and non AC 100₹.A better maintained wash rooms are available near to where chennai busses come.Both private busses and state buses come to this bus stand.The place is little dirty and Ill maintained, have to adjust to it!Ticket booking offices of other state busses are available for reserving seats.

A bit chaotic but overall experience was good considering the rush in such a tourist place . I hope the local administration looks into making it more organised and clean.

Is there any bus is available from Pondicherry bus stand to coimbatore gandhinagar bus stand?

Mainly buses of PRTC and TNSTC to Chennai, Cuddalore and other major cities of Tamilnadu. Also most private operators operate from here. Only challenge I faced was finding destinations names on bus stand which are only in Tamil. Pondicherry being major tourist town with many international tourists visiting regularly English names should have been there.

Not clean & maintained properly.. Everywhere Garbage, flies and mosquitoes. Government has to take step to create awarness among public and charge them fine if they are throwing trash on platform. Another major issue the current BUS Stant cant accomodate the increase in travellers and the growing demand.

The place maintenance has to be improved.PRTC busses are good service and maintenance. We have to book the Puduchery - Chennai AC Bus in advance otherwise will be difficult to get the tickets in weekends and holidays.Puduchery is famous for liquor so urinal smell is unavoidable in the Bus station due to drunkers. Concern team has to take care of this and maintain the place.

Busses are easy to find and has small show selling snacks and drinks. Limited places to sit. People peeing and spitting everywhere even though toilets are available. Take Govt. busses over privately owned busses at any cost. Lots of people will rush to get seats on the busses as they arrive. Beware of pickpockets. Police station comes attached.

You can find all local buses and buses to nearby cities from this small bus stand. Its not that near as you expect. There will be small shops around the bus stand. A lot to improve in this place.

Plenty of buses plying from here to Chennai and many other places. As soon as you get off from the bus, lot of auto rickshaw (tuk tuk) people will come and offer you to drop at your hotel at exhorbitant prices e.g. 200 rs for 4 kms, whereas if you just move out of the bus stand (less than 40 meters) on the road there are many autos standing, they quote 100 rupees and if you haggle they might settle for 80 rs for that distance. Plenty of shops nearby. For dinining go to White Town area.
