Outside environment, A/C cooling, car parking & morning breakfast awesome. But amenities are not up to the mark of 3 star hotel especially toilet, television very small,beds make you back pain & kitchens are closed. management improves all these Bon sejour will be one of the best stay for tourists 👍🏼

Very nice place with beautiful lawn. The hall was small but acceptable. Food is average. Can have nice time with the family during family events.

The over stay was very awesome. The Hotel staffs were very polite and provided good service. Murugan at the reception handled all the queries and provided all support. Kitchen is not available in the Afternoon and Night but being at prime location, getting food thru delivery partners never a problem. Breakfast is good. The best thing is very calm and so thing lawn. The lawn is big and well maintained. Ample parking space.

We stayed here for three days with our toddler. Wonderful experience and great service. Good and friendly staff. The rooms were very clean and spacious. Our room has the view of their lawn which looked great by night. Ample space in the room for our kid to play around. The hotel itself was a spectacular one to look at night. Will recommend.

Hi All, I visited this place in early January 2021.Mr Ramesh was coordinating with me on my booking and kept me updated with the availability, price and email confirmation.we were around 10 adults and two kids and booked five rooms. All the rooms were clean and comfortable we were also upgraded with two suite rooms with private terrace which gave us good view of the big lawn they had. I was not able to try their food as the restaurant closed as early as nine in the night. Spacious parking and lift facility was very helpful. The breakfast was good. I highly recommend this place for family and friends particularly for elderly people.

In Pondicherry i wud highly recommend this hotel....right frm d check-in process to the food in the restaurant to the amayyyzing service (Annnnd i hv stayed in the likes of Taj properties as well)...bt the warmth and the helpful nature of the staff here is unmatched! Also ppl staying here do try the continental spread in d menu....in love with Pondy💛(also cos of this hotel)!!!

First thing that youll notice is that the room size is huge. The hotel is at a prime location just 3 kms from Rock Beach. Staff are friendly and the inhouse restaurant is decent. Its an old construction and therefore a little old-school in architecture. Overall the stay was comfortable but I felt it was a little overpriced compared to the amenities provided.

Looking outside so nice place

Attended a function here. Function hall was nice with limited seating. Buffet was also arranged. Food items, pastries and desserts were good. Place felt a little conjusted after having started the buffet. Had ample space for parking. Lawn was good and had a great view. Entrance was nice and since it was Christmas time, they had beautifully decorated in the reception hall.Ambience was totally good.Nothing much on the negative side, except the fact that it was a bit conjusted inside the party hall after having started the buffet. Otherwise, everything else was fine.

Good hotel so peaceful and so large

The experience was average. They charged us 800 extra for early check-in. But they also allowed us to check out an hour late without any penalty. The room was clean and maintained. Washroom could have been neater. Also, there was some pungent smell coming in the toilet. A lot of mosquitos were there, and no mosquito repellant equipment was provided. There was a centralized AC, which worked pretty well. The bed size was pretty big, and the mattress was very comfortable.In terms of service, we ordered breakfast on the first day. The starting time of breakfast was an hour late than written on the menu. We ordered chole bhature, and the restaurant accepted it. When even after an hour I didnt receive it, I enquired and then got to know that it is not available. They didnt also inform us that it is not available. Then I ordered Puri Sabji, again after an hour I called the restaurant. This time the guy said that they forgot the order and will deliver it in 10 mins. Finally, after 10 min, I got the order. Eventually, I didnt order anything from the inhouse restaurant after that. 😬In terms of daily room service, on the first day, we didnt even give them the keys to clean our room, but when we came back, the room was cleaned. Strange but good as nothing was misplaced. Ill suggest if you have vacant rooms, dont charge so much for just a few hours. No problem as such

The restaurant here is good,You can find some Italian,French and indian food,They also provide drinks.. But the Briyani here is not good,They use the Instant Briyani mix and add some chicken peices into it... Avoid having Briyani... The Sizzlers is a must try dish...The staffs are so polite, The Ambiance here is Good... But the privacy is Zero...For Two people it would cost around 1200₹..

A perfect place to stay and conduct functions

This wouldve been a 5/5 rating but for some minor deficiencies.The hotel is situated at a very accessible location and close to most attractions. We relied on autos and the rare Ola cab.The property is very spacious and well maintained with a front garden and parking space. The staff were helpful and courteous. There was a good quality WiFi connection as well. Overall a relaxing atmosphere.Some negatives worth pointing out are - the somewhat run down bathroom without hooks and exhaust, rusty handspray- food is good but they seem to be low on supplies. Chicken biryani without any chicken piece except tiny morsels, breakfast buffet with a ration of 1 egg per person. On 25th Dec there were many guests and at 9 itself they ran out of all food except coconut chutney, cornflakes and semiya upma. This is largely mismanagement and can easily be taken care of.

Very good hotel with good ambiance. we went for the new year eve. Good service and polite staff. Since it is located in the heart of the city, it is easy to access here from anywhere.

Great hotel to stay in pondicherry, got it for 2100 per night from yatra. A great deal considering the free wifi and breakfast. The rooms are very spacious and clean, they have high ceilings which give an illusion of more space. The food at the restaurant is good and priced decently. Staff is courteous and well managed. There was also a fridge in my room to keep drinks.

The hotel is well maintained and the staff were courteous and helpful from the very beginning. We had a hassle-free early check-in and smooth check-out as well. Overall our stay at this hotel was wonderful.courteous staff and cooperation from their end.

Service is bad

My wife and me thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at Bon Sejour. Its located a little of the shore but thats not a problem unless one wants a sea-view room. That main bus stand is very near and so is the famous Rock beach/Beach road.- Ample parking space attached to a lush green lawn. - Calm and serene ambiance- Rooms are clean, spacious and well-lit. (Though at times, rooms closed for long time might gather a typical stench, the room service readily provides with fresheners to aid.)- Room service is pretty fast- Other facilities like wifi, hot water, tv etc were also satisfactory.- Complimentary breakfast had variety and was decent.However, what we liked best about this place (and also entire Pondicherry) was its people. The staff were courteous and helpful. They accepted early check-in (24 hrs check out policy) without a fuss and were very lenient with check-out time. They even agreed to look after our luggage while we took a last trip of Pondi after check-out. Even at odd hours in the night they would respond nicely to your requests for drinking water or room-freshener and duly comply.We have a very fond memory of Pondicherry and Bon Sejour is a part of it. Will look forward to there stay again and recommend to others.

Best hotel in the heart of the city....lush green garden..with facilities to organize big outside parties, open functions. Decent parking space...polite and helpful staff...rooms are clean well maintained. Food is good, all kinds of food stuff is available...menu for various occasions that suits to individual preferences., Management provides decoration and photographer contact no. Which they will do in modest prices.halls are spacious and with enough tables and chairs for a 100-150 people. Buffet is great..we are so happy with the reviews from the friends and relatives who attended our function regarding the lunch buffet....overall it is the best choice for conducting parties and functions.

The hotel is about 3 km from White Town, which is the main tourist attraction in Pondicherry. There is ample parking. Ola cabs ply in the area and one can use these to go about. But the roads are narrow and congested, and it is really not a good use of time traveling We were given a warm reception at the hotel. The reception area is huge and has a good seating space. The receptionist was really helpful and even gave us a different room to accommodate our baby. They are even helpful with providing information about the city and places to visit.The rooms were clean and well maintained. The housekeeping staff were efficient and professional. However, the lights were not all in working condition. Only the main light in the room and bathroom worked. There was no night lamp, nor did the light in the dressing area work. Even in the bathroom, the light above the mirror did not work. The taps seem to be rusting a bit.When we ordered room service, the food was served quickly. The pizza was really well made. The dinner items from the room service menu were so-so. For breakfast, on a weekday, there is no buffet, and the items are regular idli-wada, dosa/uttappam, poori, pongal and plain bread omelette. The weekend buffet also had the same menu, and nothing of the French influence as the name suggests. Though there is a bar, it is not in the main building.If you opt to stay at this hotel, it would be a good idea to book only accommodation and not breakfast/dinner. There are many cafes that offer the authentic French experience for foodies, which sadly, this hotel does not. While the name and structure does give the impression of a real star hotel, it isnt really upto the standard of 3 stars.

My friend and I visited Pondicherry last weekend. We stayed at Bon Sejour for 2 nights and 3 days. The overall experience was good, nothing commendable. We were greeted and were shown us our room - a Suite. The room was clean, neat, well lit and very comfortable. Good points:1. Location2. Price3. Comfort4. Fast Wi-Fi5. Front desk staffBad points:1. Food is bad, expsenive for the taste2. Restaurant service is patheticI will certainly suggest the hotel in my circle, only for the stay and not for the food.

Its on main road so is easily accessible.. lot of parking space. nice breakfast spread. will customize as well for you if needed, like I wanted without onion uttapa.. they made it. rooms are good. just that the setup in room is of two single beds put together and not a double bed. it doesnt seem that you can separate these beds far away... so doesnt make sense to have single bed instead of double bed. otherwise pleasant stay.

Hotel is centrally located near to all attractions. Has ample space and nicely built. The rooms are fairly big and comfortable. However our mattress was in a bad condition as it sagged too much. We asked for a king size but two single beds were joined underneath the quilt. It was uneven and not comfortable. Apart from this very funnily the faucet in the loo is placed on the left. Its an ergonomic disaster. They can very well correct it but didnt. Food was below average, even coffee tasted awful. Breakfast spread was hopeless really. Nothing tasted good. Suggest to save money than opt for the breakfast. However for around 2k the hotel is value for money as its big, safe and ample parking is available. Overall nice stay but they can make the hotel brilliant by changing their maintenance.

Though the ambience is good.. There is total lack of maintenance. And the food quality and taste is also very poor. Needs lots of changes in these areas.

While closing up, I needed to use the restroom. I was probably the only female on the ground floor. When I was the inside the toilet cubicle, I heard a scuffle from outside and when I looked up, I saw a head quickly withdraw. I was filled with shock and horror. My friends and I brought up the issue with the hotel staff who refused to disturb the manager at 11 pm.To woman out there, please be safe.

The hotel has a spacious lawn and large, bright rooms. Lots of parking space is available. There is a single elevator which can be irksome. The rooms can be improved since mine had a broken switch board, an unclean water kettle, a shaky dressing table and tilted bathroom mirror. They provide two 1-liter water bottles which is good. The staff is helpful and understanding. I had breakfast and dinner buffets here which served several dishes of good quality food. The stay was quite worthy.

The hotel was just few minutes from main busstop. Front yard is very nice. We have been upgraded to a suit room. Maintainance was very nice. Room is spacious and clean but a little dull due to low lighting (thats OK). Room service was prompt. Food is good. The staff is very cooperative and hospitable. Thanks to them. Overall its value for the money you pay.

A very lovely property which is close to the main bus stand. We stayed with friends and the rooms along with the washrooms were very clean and tidy. The hotel staff are very professional and friendly and will stand by you if you should need anything. Should mention the amazing complimentary breakfast that was served. It was that yum!Bon Sejour is indeed a very lovely place, right in the center of Pondy and can always be a must stay when your gonna visit the city next.

Dark. Comfy. Cheap.More about the dark - if you like a dark ambience, look no further. Bring the curtains down and banish the Pondy sun completely, at noon. This place badly needs a bigger screen TV and tonic water (both of which I might consider donating!). Very good air conditioning and large soft, cozy sofas make it a splendid watering hole for tired eyes. Cripsy beef can get a bit too spicy sometimes - so be careful not to burn both sides of the alimentary canal.

The hotel is located in the heart of the city and is near to the Bus stand. The hotel room was big and spacious with Comfortable beds. The room was neatly set. We had a lawn view which was an added advantage. We had taken the package that includes breakfast. There wasnt much variety for breakfast and ataff service was very poor. There was nobody to attend us. I had ordered bread Omlette which took half an hour to serve. Sometimes they would serve thw bread firat and serve the omlette 20 minutes later and vice versa. We had to keep reminding them about our order. The staff was very disorganized. Overall it was a good experience but the morning breakfast experience could have been avoided.

I had a great stay at Bon Sejour. I had some problem with my travel on the day of booking so I decided to call the hotel to check if they can accommodate another day and they were flexible. Later I called them on the same day and wanted to keep the booking for the same day and they accommodated that as well. I have never seen such flexibility by any hotels for their customer. Good stay. Nice complimentary breakfast. I would recommend people to take their stay in this hotel if they are spending a night in pondicherry.

Prime Location nearby important places to be visited in Pondicherry. Great value for money is a single tag review for this property . Good buffet spread for breakfast. Greenish Lawn is a great plus for the hotel, which makes you feel detached from city traffic. Though old, maintained well and still looks fresh with its wooden interiors. One slag is that in restaurant, the crockeries were old and many had stain marks.

They have only Tamil channel all the way, however we did not went to watch TV there.Overall experience was excellent.

You smell foul inside rooms. You can see insects crawling.They have useless bath tubs. If you have to take shower, you need to stand on the bath tub 😄The shower mixer has its own mind. Even with repeated attempts, you will not get a proper mix. Either the water is too cold or too hot.I had to use the bucket with mug for bathing 😀Health faucet, and all the taps were brought from junk yard for cheap bucks.A table with a chair. You only have the option to sit facing the wall because of cramped space arrangement 😄Walls were built and painted in World War II 😄 which smells like corpus.One boiled egg is Rs. 50/- it of which Rs. 30/- goes to France 😄Dont book this hotel.

Hotel is located near to rock beach which is 3 km from here. hotel rooms are very spacious and bathrooms are very neat. only bad thing is pipes looks old and rusted. parking area is good. over all th3 experience is great. Wi-Fi available.

Great trip at Hotel Bon Sejour, PondicherryWe stayed at Bon Sejour, Pondicherry on 3-Sep, Saturday / 4-Sep, Sunday. It was a one day family trip for us. We had planned to go to Paradise beach, Ashram and some temples in and around Pondy. When approached Front office, Mr. Prabhu was very kind enough to guide us which made our trip, a relaxed and memorable one. The room in which we stayed one night was very nice, clean and tidy. Air conditioning, hot water and everything was available. Food and complimentary breakfast was excellent. Thanks Bon Sejour, for making us feel really comfortable and enjoyable. Special thanks to Mr. Prabhu and Mr. Felix for the warm welcome. Bon Sejour is awesome.

I happened to attend a spiritual seminar here. The seating arrangement in the hall was good. So was the lunch served there.More than anything else, I loved its lawns and trees around the main building.

It is a good property in Pondicherry basically. It has a dedicated and ample parking space fir four wheelers and two wheel vehicles as well. A good size lawn attached to the property adds charm to it but is also a bane when there are every night parties arranged. So a little bit if complain there to the management to consider providing sound proof glasses in the window. The restaurant guys I think were a little rude in the starting but amicably solved and resolved the situation. Property is at approx 4 km distance from the white town. We had booked two wheeler after having reference from the reception lady. This was the first time to have done so with a baby of 3 years. But baby truly enjoyed. Especially after escaping the winters of Delhi. Evenings are awesome in Pondicherry. Overall this hotel is worth considering if you are looking for a normal hotel and nothing fancy. Some people who are used to stay at high end hotels please stay away as you might consider 90 % of the hotels in Pondicherry as dharamshalas. Cheers!

Hotel was clean and peaceful to have a nice stay. But if you could provide something like welcome drinks to guests who are waiting after their actual check-in time, itwould be great. Guest also not feel much angry and moreover they can understand. Also, you shouldve people who can assist guests to their rooms instead telling the way to room.

Place is so good the dishes are not much nice other than these the hotel rooms and banquet are so cool awesome and nice. It will be much pleasant when you guys perfectly maintans lawn. Didn’t know about bars have not visited yet

A neat and clean property with a nice, calm atmosphere, preferably for couples/families.the rooms are well appointed,the property has a nice garden as well, Wi-Fi is decently paced, and food in their restaurant is so-so.would recommend if u need, a calm, slightly heritage property type accommodation (mark the word -slightly), with good service and an always keen to help front desk.

Its a well maintained place.. The rooms are really neat with antique furniture. Except for the rusted taps in the washrooms. Quick room service.. The lawn outside is very nice and over all a good place to stay in..

The entire experience in this hotel was horrible. To begin with, we had to carry our luggage to our room in the second floor. The lady receptionist was only bothered about telling us the GST amount and extra bed cost. The hotel is a old building, badly maintained. Rooms have no proper ventilation. A/C remote was not given until we asked for it 3 times. Complimentary breakfast was bad. Tables in the restaurant were not clean, food was cold and staff were very discourteous. Finally, when we checked out, there was a staff waiting promptly near our car, expecting to be tipped.

Lovely experience in a grand restaurant. Felt like a resorts. Gud nd well maintained. All services are well nd gud. Buffet system in fn is somewhat disadvantage due to lack of seating facility.... Parking facilities nd restrooms are well nd maintained in gud manner. Best place for all to have a best function nd celebrations here....

We stayed for a weekend at Bon Sejour and the location is just perfect to experience Pondicherry. The in-house dining is not great and its better to resort to restaurants outside. Overall the stay was comfortable

Hi, I visited pond and stayed in this hotel from 30th to 31st of October 2016 and was associated with it even after checking out because they have an excellent restaurant. First of all, Id like to mention that the hotel manager Mr. Philips is a very graceful and helpful person. He helped us in checking in, checking out and even after we checked out from the hotel he helped us in arranging a cab for mahabalipuram trip and one room as we wanted to get fresh and change before we boarded the bus to bangalore. Without his support we wouldnt have been able to make it to the bus as the cab broke down about 40kms away from pondy. They have an excellent restaurant and their menu includes Indian, multi cuisine and sea food. Their service is quite excellent. Room service and other services are generally fast without any lag and is one of the cleanest hotel in pondy that I found containing all basic amenities in each of their rooms. Overall, an amazing place to put up with your family while in pondy.

The place is quite decent and the exteriors and the lawn is pretty incredible. However, the staff are a bit lazy and has a take it easy attitude. They don’t respond until you call them 5 times.

Hotel is no doubt awesome. everything is good like food amenities the staff specially the trainee staff they were very polite.If you want to spent money and get all facilities then go for it.only one thing I dint like is that room were available and they took charges for early check-in. it is impossible to be there at exact check in time.
