We live here and we cannot imagine ever leaving. This is our third home in Louisville and we have spent eight years here. We knew when we decided to move here that this was a special neighborhood, even when it was not complete. There are sidewalks and porches virtually everywhere, businesses and professional offices, restaurants, and bars, parks, playgrounds, walking trails, and lakes, an outdoor amphitheatre, and activities every week. This is a neighborhood for people who like people and enjoy an active lifestyle.

Beautiful area, you can walk and do a majority of your business. Ramsi grand opening no gift cards. Very disappointing. Parking wasnt great either.

Seems like they sell a lot of over price condos there. Its a nice environment. I wouldnt live there if my life depended on it. Because who would pay half a million dollars to live in an apartment with the neighbors beating and banging and hallways reak of Indian food or specifically tumeric. you can go in the hood and get the same treatment

Dr. KARLA GUESS MD, and Dr. JOHN RADEMAKER MD, live here and were caught on video FIGHTING with children who were watching thr sunset outside. Both of these adults are doctors and thought it was smart to approach and get into a physical altercation with teenaged girls. Thats the kind of people living here. Hippocratic Oath? Doctors in a physical altercation? Those two thing dont mix. Either this couple is guilty or we open the door for doctors to physically harm patients at their discretion. Please give BOTH of them, male and female, the attention they deserve.

Nice centrally planned village. Loads of amenities. The only problem is that these amenities come with such a cost that only wealthy white people can afford to call it home. Otherwise quite nice

We built a home here in 2014. Weve thoroughly enjoyed our time in NC. Lovely quality of life, good neighbors and it seems to get better each year we are here. Add in a healthy growth in property value...not sure we could have found a better place to live.

Sort of its own closed in community. High prices for homes and your neighbors houses are a few feet away. Driveways are in narrow back alleys. There is always construction going on because the place is constantly expanding.

I have lived in many places in Louisville, as well as in other states. Norton Commons is by far the best neighborhood Ive had the pleasure of living in. One of my old neighbors was fond of saying every village has an idiot and youre lucky if you dont have two. Looks like the previous review must have been written by ours.I know some people criticize Norton Commons because the houses are all manicured and the look of the neighborhood is, to some, like a Disney property. Personally, I love living in a neighborhood that was designed by one of the premier architects and developers in the world, and having an architectural review board that pays attention to details, to help keep property values high.In fact, we have the largest geothermal residential development in the country going in for around 1,800 new homes. The developers have donated land to the fire department, to a public elementary school under construction, and for other civic developments. We have a YMCA, day care facility, church, several very nice restaurants and several more are either under construction or in the planning stage. What I love most about this neighborhood, which has about 25% of the land dedicated to civic use and open park land, is the neighbors. You can actually borrow a cup of sugar from a neighbor and weve done that. We have a great group of neighbors and have an elected committee that plans social events on a regular basis. We have many clubs, such as a book club, scrabble club, Bunco club, etc., and several others. The houses are designed so that the front porch is very close to the sidewalk, for the purpose of increasing neighbor interaction. The neighborhood looks somewhat like a new version of the Cherokee Park area homes, which are also regulated by an architectural review board. We have about 60+ businesses, and the number is quickly growing. Im not sure of the experience the sour previous reviewer described, but I enjoy walking into the shops and actually knowing the owners, who greet you as a friend because they also live here, in addition to running a little village type shop. I like the unique blend of little shops. We have some great, free concerts at the outdoor amphitheater, and enjoy the musical groups as well as the food trucks that we bring in for those and other outdoor events. There are lots of events as well as groups which have formed, which makes this place unique and just a great place to live. Weve been here for almost ten years and moved in very early in the development. We are actually in our second home here, after downsizing when one of our kids moved out. Many of our other neighbors have done the same when they have downsized or increased the size of their house, as they had more kids or kids moved out. I think the fact that they stayed in the neighborhood proves that this is a place you should check out if you want to have a quality house with a solid property value that will do nothing but increase in value over the years. If you dont have an reason to move, I hope youll join us for our many public concerts and street parties, and visit our growing number of restaurants, boutiques, and other businesses. Norton Commons is a GREAT place to live and please dont let one sour apple spoil your thoughts about the rest of the barrel.

Take your ATTORNEY with you if you want to buy in NC! Norton Commons Realty office is rude and unprofessional. I made an offer on a builder Spec home and gave a good faith deposit check to Norton Commons Realty. The contract expired on 10-18-17 however as of 10-27-17 they had not refunded my deposit nor contacted me. My real estate agent contacted NC realty multiple times by text and phone and was brushed off. On Friday 10-27-17 at 4 pm I called NC realty to determine when they would be sending my good faith money back. The woman I spoke with was rude, arrogant and a disgusting person to deal with. She had no intention of sending my several thousands of dollars goodfaith money back that they had placed in their escrow account. Be WARNED NC Realty is shifty and unprofessional if you are dealing with them or plan on building a house in NC TAKE YOUR ATTORNEY with you. NC realty demands to hold 10 percent of the total cost of your home in escrow while it is being built, this is a non refundable deposit. So if you dont agree with your builder or issues arise NC Realty will keep your deposit. Norton Commons Realty was unapologetic for their mistake and treated me and my real estate agent horribly. I am glad I learned of this issue before buying a home in NC because everything goes through these hateful unprofessional women at NC Realty. The builder was a very nice man and I am sure he is unaware how persons wanting to purchase his fine homes are being treated (his initials are LT).
