Also it is said that Mahatma Gandhi performd these ceremonies for his forefathers here. Prachi Tirth along with Kashi is considered to be one of the most sacred place to perform these rites. Pilgrim place, here Lord Krishna visited this place and sat below this Peepal tree, thats why its important and also here described about Gita, and at the same time it is believed that one time visit you Prachi is equal to hundred time visit to Kashi.Visit this place after rains so that the river is in full flow and can enjoy.

About an hour from Somnath on the way to Diu but one must visit this place even if he has no plans for Diu visit.
