The food here is delicious and the service is very friendly! I would highly recommend anyone in the coquitlam/port moody area try this place out. Ive been to quite a number of sushi restaurants in the lower mainland area and this place definitely is up in the ranks! 10/10 would definitely go back.

I live in Aria building, always goes here for very fresh sushi. Their nigiri are the best it comes in pair, very reasonable price and big portion. Im not really good at speaking English but staff was really friendly and tries to help me understand the food better.My friend usually orders Salmon rolls only around $5 cheap but very big portion with fresh salmon. Also their bake salmon roll they uses expansive salmon belly!! because I never had salmon belly before and waitress kindly explained me how outside of salmon belly lots of people get confused with salmon skin. The silver part is not a salmon skin its salmon belly!! Very creamy.Today I went with waitress recommendation of fresh Unagi nigiri, Tobiko nigiri, massago nigiri and chopped scallop nigiri.Was very delicious and best service in village.Would return here frequently to have fresh sushi and will go with server’s recommendation again!Thank you Sango for staying open late too!!

Amazing food, amazing staff, amazing interior.I ordered the pork cutlet. It came with a salad and was outstanding.Strongly recommend this restaurant. Food is so, so, so good. Absolutely love.

It could have been good, but everything was cold when it arrived by Skip. Its like they made it right away but I didnt ask for pick up for 45 min later.

I’m so happy this place opens until late. I work at Eagle Ridge Hospital and my shifts end at 11pm, and I’d often feel very hungry after work. Tried this place after work for the first time, and the rolls were delicious! Definitely will be going back.

We called to order take out had planned ahead and look things up on line. Ordered lunch box A it was in the picture on line with the menu. When we called was told that was the old restaurant Sanga and they no longer carry that sorry and hung up. Wow did not even suggest something else did not try and get me to order something else....nothing. We decided to order something else and went in to order. Asked the same girl who hung up the call if they were busy during the pandemic and she said yes they were good. Clearly they dont need any new or old customers to continue to use them. They are busy enough and dont need any more customer. Then the owner came in and took over the conversation. He was happy to take money from me but did not even offer any kind of a discount or offer to come back and try them again when things get back to normal. Before the pandemic we use to go to this restaurant once a week as a family. It was a tradition. We will be spending our weekly sushi trips at a different restaurant it was made VERY clear that they do not need any more customers and are very happy with the level of business they are at. So we will spend our money some place else. VERY poor attitude from staff.

One of our all time favourite sushi places. Friendly and thoughtful staff, excellent food. They remember our name when we phone in and recognize our orders even when we use a courier service. Highly attentive to special requests and consistently top notch food. Highly recommend Goen Sushi!

This establishment really impressed me with their tasty rolls and they are open quite late for the night owls like me. What a nice surprise to find this little gem in Port Moody. Thanks to the staff here for quick, safe and delicious meal! Im coming back soon.

Expensive and unsatisfying. Im no stranger to tako sashimi. The pieces came in the assorted sashimi was strangely fishy, as if contaminated by fish water. The sushi rice was poorly seasoned and mushy. We spent $100 for 3 ppl and we felt like we barely had enough to eat. Id rather pay more for a place that serves fresher and proper ingredients.

One of my favorite place to order since they offers free delivery through Skip until midnight.Although, my roommate and I trying to order in person to help small businesses around since restaurant pays lots of commissions to delivery company.Hope you guys will open dine in soon too,Thank you for opening late!!

Be Alert they keep using the Sango Sushi’s Google review, but they have changed the ownership and name as “Go-en Sushi”. My experience so bad here! I ordered 3 sushi combos at 7:04pm the guy told me to wait for 25min. After the time, I came for pick up, they were still preparing the online/App orders... so I have to wait for total more than 40min until 7:52!!! This is very unprofessional! Btw, my first experience here was also bad, they forgot one item of my order, so I have to drive back and wait another 30min! I’m so disappointed and never come back again! NOT recommend this restaurant!

Food is not what is described on menu. Poor quality rolls and small portions of fish. I felt like I had been taken advantage of. Dont bother complaining to them, they dont care.

Bad experience at the first time there. We ordered one combo and the lady made a mistake. After waiting for 30 mins she just said sorry she accepted made a mistake but her solutions was wait 40 mins and have to pay the difference even thou was her error and i got something diferent more expensive for the amount of order i wanted. She also mentioned come back tomorrow but you have to pay what a stupid answer off course I am not gonna come back.

Very poor service. Staff does not even know what their menu includes, they basically cannot answer any of the questions you have about the menu. They are also too lazy to print separate receipts for a group of people. The owner should be ashamed of that! Will never go back again to this poor place.

Much better quality of rolls since the rebranding. Had written this place off, but now its a favorite. Fresh, good flavor. Keep the quality like this, youll be a neighborhood staple.

Heard there was a new restaurant in town. Noticed there were a lot of K-Food options on the menu so I decided to take my parents in for a try. Tried the Bibimbap but it was not to my personal taste. However, my parents were absolutely thrilled and was excited to dine again. Will be bringing them back for a future meal.

Very good food. Wonderful service. The food and beer came in quick. The hostess was Japanese’s the cooks were korean. Over all will come back 100%.

As a person who greatly enjoys sushi and is always looking for new places, I would have to say that Sango is probably the best place in the tri city area. Their fish is very fresh.. extremely fresh. I tried many of their rolls, but I strongly recommend the salmon roll along with their salmon sashimi. Sango is an amazing restaurant for both beginners (people who have never tried before) or people like me who are in love with sushi.In other words, Sango has amazing and delicious food. Location is great too so it’s convenient for students like myself as it’s close to transit and prices are very cheap... plus the servers are very nice and welcoming and give great service.

HORRIBLE SERVICE !!!! They charge you for every little thing. We asked the dish to be spicy and they said it’s an additional $2.50 !!!! Asked if they could put a bit of kimchi on side -they wanted $4.00 extra !!!!! What a rip off ! This way they will lose customers soon !!

Horrible experience. Customer service experience was HORRIBLE, food was not good. I would NOT recommend this and will not go back.My husband is allergic to shellfish we made that VERY clear, the server spoke to the kitchen and came back and told us that it would be fine and it wasnt until they brought me my food that they then told us that they make their fake crab with 30% real crab mixed in this was very disappointing since I wouldnt want to eat my meal without my husband we ended up leaving paid the bill and had barely an apology to go along with it. An incredibly disappointing and horrible experience

Best quality sushi

If this is your first time having sushi, it should be fine. But if you’ve ever tasted good, proper, authentic sushi in your life, you will be greatly disappointed. In a city like Vancouver where sushi is known to be great, this is probably top 5 from the bottom of the list. This restaurant had fish that was not fresh and rolls with a disproportionately large amount of rice. But credit where credit is due, they do stay open until midnight (which not many sushi places do) but even for a late night snack, this would be my last resort.

Great restaurant.I went yesterday around lunch after going a walk at Rocky Point. I ordered the beef tofu soup, the buldak (Korean spicy chicken), and the Suter Brook roll from the menu, and it was very tasty that I ordered two more orders of the buldak. I found it quite funny how the roll was named after the mall the restaurant was located at. The roll was amazing. I strongly recommend this restaurant. Service is excellent, everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Strongly encourage you all to take a visit.

WORST SUSHI I EVER HADPlease take a look at that rice ballThat is supposed to be the “salmon roll” which is made with not-so-fresh salmon, had its fishy taste, and too much rice that some pieces looking like this. As someone said in the review, how can you make nonsense like this with very delicious ingredients: rice and salmon? Maybe the owner or the head chef to consider learning good skills from other famous restaurants like Sushi California. The server was kind tho. Server gets a star, none for Sango.

Always a warm greeting upon entrance of Sango, nice quite place compared to most restaurants in the area...oh a the food is always fresh clean and fantastic...this is our go to place for healthy food choices

The staff served wrong food to us without introduction, after we ate them all, they asked me to pay for it. The food is overpriced and comes with small portion.Even I worked at the same plaza, I won’t be back.

My family and I came here on a rainy Monday evening and there were no other diners in the restaurant. It was set up well for distancing and there were hand sanitizers on every table. Service was attentive and friendly by the 2 waiters. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food. We had agedashi tofu (sauce was on the side for you to add so it would not make it soggy), sashimi (freshest sashimi weve had in a long time), carpaccio (beautifully presented and melt in your mouth tender), various rolls (all good), pork ton katsu (very large pieces of tender pork fried to a delicate crispiness). We will definitely be back! The only negative thing is not about the restaurant, but the lack of parking nearby.

The location and ambience are excellent. The service and the quality of the food is also excellent. This is one of my favourite lunch stops when Im hanging out with my brother. I only gave Sango four out of five stars though because they are pricey when compared to other sushi places.

Worst sushi ever

This is the BEST sushi in the area for sure!! Wow! When the food you are eating resembles art but it tastes even better you know you’ve found something pretty special!The menu is lovely with something for everyone for sure. The staff is friendly and are more than willing to answer any questions you might have about the food. The service is fast and the restaurant is quite nice. The average meal for two will cost approximately $60-80 including drinks but I have never been disappointed Yummy!

Had a rainbow roll and a mango. Reccomend for sure. Nice atmosphere, detail minded owners.

This place is absolutely amazing. I was there with my husband and we shared veggie sushi, tempura and tofu teriyaki. Very tasty I enjoyed every bit of it. The server was very polite and nice! I definitely recommend this place and will go back again!

This was the most uncomfortable and unpleasant experience weve ever had in a sushi place. How do you take something so delicious and make a complete nonsense out of it then charge a customer over $10 for it, is a mystery to me..Sushi rolls: tasted average, but expensive! I would, certainly, choose supermarket rolls over what Sango is offering any day! Im genuinely finding it hard to say anything good about this place, but Ill try. It has nice space and the waitresses are polite, but once you realize that they do not know the basics of good sushi, the charm goes away. If you are craving sushi, I do not recommend this place. Vancouver has much more to offer and for a better price!

Classy looking sushi restaurant. Comfortable chairs. Conveniently located in Suter Brook! Server was friendly to our kids. Smaller portion sizes then some other sushi restaurants. We look forward to trying it again!

Very good sushi, mostly good service (though sometimes a bit slow), but at a bit of a higher price than other sushi places in the area. I think the quality is there for the added price, but the speed and efficiency of service should be better for the price! But yeah, their food is good, and if thats all you care about this place is great!

Service was fast, got take-out in less than 10 minutes. Ordered the Hot Night Roll and the Mango Roll. The Mango roll had weird shredded-like salmon, it tasted really fishy and had a soft mushy texture I didnt appreciate. The hot night roll had the same weird salmon, the best part was the prawn, and I wouldnt order it again. To top off this whole experience, we paid $3/roll extra for real crab and there was literally hardly any crab in each roll! OMG! Over-all Im really disappointed. 😔

Our go to Japanese place in Port Moody! My fiancée and I recently moved into the area and we’ve fallen in love with Sango. The prices are a little more than other places, but the quality is always top notch and we rarely finish all of our food. With Sango being in the heart of Suterbrook, it’s definitely a great restaurant to grab a bite!

Went there with my kids. The food was good, but quite price relative to other sushi places in the area. I probably wont go back as there are plenty of other places that have a better selection for cheaper.

Staff is friendly but the food - Korean fusion sushi is so-so. I rather go to other sushi restaurants in the area.

A bit on the pricier side compared to other sushi places around the area, but you get what you pay for. Prefer coming here than other places, service is (usually) quick and food tastes good.

Good food but terrible service. Got my appetizer and entree wrong. Finally settled on appetizer but never did get entree. Complained to deaf ears. Never going back there.

There were 8 of us and we neither loved it, nor truly disliked it. The chirashi don was made using scraps of fish as opposed to what you would expect from sashimi orders. We opted out of the sashimi after the early bird who ordered the chirashi showed us her bowl. The rest of the food wasnt memorable. Interior of the place is very nice and seats were comfortable. Service was a solid 4/5.
