Purchased a Cpu and had it upgraded here, pretty simple thing to do. As soon as I got home my PC started beeping and giving debug errors on boot and skipping the bios screen. I have NEVER HAD MY PC BEEP OR HAD A BOOT ERROR. Bought it back and guy thought it was a bad CPU and changed it on the spot (which was good) but the cpu he tried to replace it with was a used one they had lying around even though I paid full price for a new one. I told them I only wanted a new one so they did. After replacing it I get home and PC still beeps on boot. I go back 3 more times over the weekend to try and get them to fix whatever they messed up and they try to charge me to fix the PC! They also try to tell me my RAM and motherboard are faulty and try to get me to buy new parts just to test. I ask if I buy new parts and it doesn’t fix it meaning my old one is not faulty can I return it and they say no. In the end I had already paid to have the CPU installed and they made an error and try to charge me to fix it!? So now I have a 3k pc thatmakes a horrible beeping error code on boot and can’t get into the bios. I also went out and purchased ram as I was told to just to try and it fixed nothing so I’m also out of pocked for 150 on ram. Would give a zero stars if I could.

Great support on my RTX 3070 gaming desktop. Had intermittent issues with my system after about 4 months, difficult to diagnose, but Canada Computers was more than helpful and willing to replace components including the GPU until the issue was resolved. Canada Computers stand by their products and I will definitely buy from there again in the future. Highly recommend to others. Thanks to Jin in service for great, friendly and helpful support at the Port Coquitlam location!

I went in for a 1TB M2 (M) SSD and an female Asian employee in her mid 20s with a tattoo on her right forearm was condescending and rude. I stated twice that the SSD I wanted was the same interface as the one I currently had, (I pointed out to her which one I had from her selection) She explained that all sales are final purchase and began sarcastically lecturing me on the different types of SSDs and interfaces. For the second time I told her I wanted an M2 SSD and she sighed and asked what motherboard I have. I was shocked at her attitude and I asked for a moment to double check which one I have. I confirmed that I had a Gigabyte B550M board, she didnt say anything and started browsing her computer. I then double checked to see if I was wrong about what SSD I was looking for when I saw almost all of their selection was at minimum $40 cheaper on Amazon. I said nothing and walked out, Im simply not taking that treatment and paying more. She laughed as I walked out. Perhaps she had a bad day but I did NOTHING to prompt her attitude. It has been 30 hours since the I walked in that store and I now have an SSD installed in my PC for $50 less than Canada Computers was offering.Im not a tech guru but she couldve at least offered to help instead of being condescending impatient and just simply rude.

Very friendly and courteous staff and useful well-priced items. The new location at North East corner of Westwood and Lougheed highway (a former Pier 1 store) is a larger space comparing to the old one in Coquitlam. well stocked like always, However, its poorly decorated. in fact, it looks like a Dollar Store rather than a tech shop!

Very convenient to get some commodity as well as specialist computer gear. The only reason I dont rate the stores here 5 star is that some of the prime gear and systems are not stocked well in BC stores, so something you find on the site as a promo often is order only, and delivery is not quick, so that defeats the purpose of shopping local (example would be something like MSI brand gaming desktops: I had to dig around to find a model in store nearby, but they were plentiful in Ontario and featured on the website). However, for 80% of my purchases I can find what I need in store, reliably. The staff is generally quite knowledgeable; I appreciate that because I used to work computer retail and have been dismayed that most other large retail shops these days arent able really advise to a useful level. Store is clean and well organized. Prices are usually competitive with occasional knock-out deals. Good place to shop.

I called, and called and called for 4 business days. Finally placed an order online to pick up in store on June 2. Yesterday, June 16, 10 business days after placing my order I finally got a email saying my order was ready. No customer service, 10 business days, 14 days in total it took to get an email. I was able to get in touch with the Burnaby location and pick up the product I needed. After asking the staff at Burnaby store they guaranteed me it was a fast charger. I set up the fast wireless charger to find it was in fact not a fast charger. Because of the lack of customer service and horrible experience, Im not even going to bother trying to return the item and wont ever be supporting this company again.

Great service. Barren shelves. Mediocre prices.This place really needs to increase their stock, most of their shelves are at least partially empty. Perhaps they could take all those ugly monitor boxes out of the back isle and create a nice monitor display with some of the empty space? The prices are nothing to write home about, despite having the budget tag. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly.

Recently bought my computer parts from CC Grandview highway location where they had a graphics card available, but when I put together the computer I couldn’t figure out why there were hardware conflict issues in Device Manager. After trying multiple solutions from google and forums (which didn’t help my situation), I finally brought my pc to the nearest CC location which was in POCO, and Jin from services department helped me resolve the issue by troubleshooting each unit, and testing out what could have been the root cause. Turns out the BIOS wasn’t updated properly and was causing some issues with the hardware, so after he worked on an update, he ensured all parts were working and DM no longer had conflicts before handing the PC back to me.It was a much better experience that I was prepared for especially for an after-sale service. Thanks again to Jin for insights on cpu overlocking and great job to the business for having talented professionals here.Edit: I had to come back to CC as I ran into the same issue with network adapter again, and this time Zane from services helped me troubleshoot. I left the computer with him for 1 hour and he was able to continue to test to see where the issue was coming from. He ended up updating the driver specifically for the network adapter and reinstalled the card onto a different PCIE slot. I am impressed with Zane’s ability to understand the situation and to provide the help I needed. Hopefully everything will be okay from here on.😅

Bought a monitor from here.Pro:They had the monitor i want.Con:- Guy who helped me gave me my monitor carried using one hand on one side of the box when it should be using two hands on the side of the box.Immediately made me lose confidence of how they may handle their products, especially in the back ... Because of that, I was mentally prepared to go back and speak to them about a broken monitor.- same guy was helpful, but felt like hurry up and get this over with attitude.In summary:Service I got made me contemplate going back to a business for the first time.

Beware for Return Policy. If you opened any products, but not the right kind or wrong one, they will not accept refund and must be unopened condition within 15 days of purchase. Not sure how Canada Computers can get away with our money spent and tend to greed themselves for not accepting open products return, but never used. Compare to other stores like Best Buy, Walmart, Costco and Amazon for return policy, they accepted it if any products were being opened/defected. During the pandemic, its hard to come by every store to search the products and limitation of stocks. I never ever coming back and trust to this Canada Computers until maybe they will do what other stores does for return policy. Find other Computer stores that does accept return policy for opened products, even if you got the wrong one.

Love how the staff gave a heads up and that I was buying the item at my own risk, because it might not work. Very Honest Staff who arent scamming the customers. Clearly explained that it was final sale, however it worked, so Im good!

I ordered a laptop that never showed up from this location (you have to pay in advance). So I cancelled it online, after 3 months, since they dont seem to have any working phones. Now Ive been waiting almost a month for a refund that they havent given me. When I contacted the website about this (Since they dont answer their phones), I was told the order is canceled but Ill need to phone the store to get my refund.Currently Im down $2800 with nothing to show for it and I dont know if Ill get that money back. The only word I can think of to describe this company right now is fraudulent.Better stick to Amazon.

Purchased a logitech c920s pro HD Webcam from them the night before my final (Webcam are required for identity checks). Got home tested it, found that the auto focus feature is not working at all, and called them to ask to check for defective exchange since the camera is completely out of focus. The employee responded: the employees do not have enough experience with Webcam and cannot conduct a defective check, so you must contact logitech directly and receive confirmation that it is indeed defective. Fast forward 3 days later, I received my logitech confirmation about it being defective but I am now told by the employees all employees know proper defective procedure and will conduct a defective check, where was my defective check? Why was I forced to check it myself and contact the manufacturers directly when you guys are the retailer? This was very unamusing, it was clear your employee was trying to avoid dealing with me but it is unacceptable customer service and needs to be dealt with for future customers... if a consumer can check and immediately know the product is defective, there is no reason a CanadaComputers employee does not know how to conduct a general defective check, especially if its their job.

Using an online only system for purchasing graphics cards is a step in the wrong direction. This only makes it easier for scalpers and miners to purchase these cards online vs a consumers. Basically they say they are making the situation better but really they just made it more difficult for the regular Joes to get a card. 👏

A while ago I tried to pay monthly and they didnt approve me said I didnt have enough credit. But when I applied online myself I approved for 5000. They use flexiti same as visions and I believe I was denied because of my skin color. The man was very rude when I was super nice to him.

Is it better to get an rtx 3xxx video card and upgrade an existing system built n upgraded over the years since 2010? Or is it time to replace w a new system w the rtx 3xxx in it? Canada Computers is the only choice for this upgrade. When the cost of pricing individual parts far outweigh the cost of a new system from Canadacomputers.com there is no need to spend hours on research to match up parts for their timing and best for gaming. Plus they had everything in stock. For someone who wants something now, there are no needs to shop anywhere else. Also the customer service is the best

Automatic 5 Stars for a techie type of guy like myself.New review:These guys deserve 6 stars for this location at least in my opinion. I went in for a second purchase and was planning to spend 50 bucks on a cheap new keyboard but their staff was exceptional in going above and beyond with their positive attitude and support and not giving me an ounce of pressure to buy anything. In the end we browsed through many keyboards and they patiently guided me in learning about the difference between mechanical keys vs the old version of keys. I ended up getting a fantastic deal on a Corsair k70 MK2 and even though I went over my budget Im happy with this investment, as I think it will enhance my personal typing needs as well as for business and gaming for many many years to come!You guys made me a big fan of keyboards now! Very cool stuff.Previous review:I needed some positive service and I got it. I needed some training and patience to teach me a little bit about computers and the CPU fan that I needed and I got it.The fan that I had purchased also gave me the opportunity to order a 3-year protection plan and the fan is compatible with a new computer and most models if I decide to custom build a new computer in the future. Since this is the nearest store to my place, i go here sometimes but am trying to avoid it as much as i can.The staff are Respectful and smiling but not helpful at all. They try to get rid of you asap, no knowledge of what they have in store, mostly you will hear we dont have it albeit the website said differently, And then you find it in the store yourself!!Zero knowledge of pc and technical aspects, Best thing they do is to show you the website in a monitor and you just have to chose by yourself and they wont tell you anything regarding the product you want to buy or choose from. Just silence!They are not able to find your past receipts in their data centers, even the ones you bough just a month ago! But people on their website support center CAN??The staff several times told me if this product is opened but its broken we wont take it back, but the manager always said i can??!!! they dont know their own rules?and they never ever answer the phone!Final point: Hey, when i come to a store like this, its rather i want an advise or info about something i need from an expert or knowledgeable person, Or rather i want to support the staff who work in the store. the online option is always there and i try to not do it as long as possible for the exact reason i just said, but if coming to the store is a time waster only with zero help from the staff, why should a customer come to your store anyway?I have bought enough items from CanadaComputers to know i should not buy from CanadaComputers anymore!

Definitely go here if you are thinking of buying a new computer!I havent owned a desktop computer in probably over a decade but I wanted an upgrade from my Surface Pro. I didnt know what I was looking for or what I needed but I decided to check out all the inventory at this store to just get an idea of prices and what to look for. Shoutout to Brandon for approaching me and asking me if I needed help! I told him that I was just browsing but was thinking of getting a computer. He analyzed what my needs were, what my budget was and then proceeded to recommend me everything. After providing me with a list of what I could be getting he also went over other options that can be swapped - based on price, performance and what was in stock.Came in to browse but I was able just go with Brandons recommendation to confidently purchase the perfect computer for my needs.

Ive had one of the worst experiences ordering parts for my computer that Ive ever had before. I ordered an Asus 3060 TI back in January 2021 and I was told that it should only be a couple month wait. In 3 months I had moved up six places in line and another three months after that I had moved zero places in line. So after waiting half a year for a card I didnt hear anything from them everytime I try to call the store no one would pick up the phone, the phone will get picked up and hung up instantly and I coukd never get a response so If I wanted to go check on the card process Id have to go 30-40 minutes out of my way rather than a simple phone call to deal with my order. I highly recommend if youre going to order parts from stores that say theyre backordered dont do it because I put down  $670 and they have just been holding my money for half a year.The GPU order might not be the stores fault but not answering the phone is.

Pre-ordered a GPU & remained in line at the first position for 6 months. I put the money forward from the beginning & was held for months waiting on the card with no updates. Received email saying my order was cancelled & to return for the refund in store with them holding $1200 for half a year. No alternatives given or other backorders now as theyre unavailable. Took the chance with my preorder through them & now Im left with no alternatives when I could have just preordered somewhere else had I known they would be no help in the end. No store offers backorders anymore as well. Cards are sold now at much higher MSRP instead of people waiting for months being helped at all. Do not recommend preordering anything here or trying to solve something with their support line. Will not be returning here for anything in the future.

The sales associate that helped me find what I was looking for was knowledgeable and fast. They had a decent selection of computer hardware along with lots of demo units to check out. My only gripe was I had to wait about 5 minutes to pay once I was finished. I totally understand the extra strain put on staff due to covid precautions and I appreciate the work theyre doing.

The associate who was helping me find the specific product in which I was inquiring had amazing customer service. His name is Thomas and has definitely left an exceptional impression when visiting this shop for the first time. He was aiding as many customers as possible along with keeping his composure and quickly finding solutions to all their questions and concerns. I was personally astounded with the amount of effort and enthusiasm he expressed which transcended my expectations from an electronic store. The part for which I was desperately searching was seamlessly retrieved without any issues and virtually zero wait time. I strongly recommend this specific location for you computer needs.P.S. Disappointed in Canada Computers.Purchased a 75ft cat6 cable from Canada Computers because I was having some internet issues at home. Tried the cable and it and it turns out I actually have a router issues instead.When I went back the next day I was informed that we dont do open box returns as of last month. When I mentioned that I was not informed of that at the time of purchase there was no care, just a to bad for you. This is disappointment considering I was hoping to return the $37 cable and purchase a $300+ new router.Working in retail myself this situation didnt make a lot of sense. If sanitation is the issue there are work around multiple other retailers are executing such as UV light or just leaving it idle for a period of time. If is damaged boxes I understand that, but in this case the box was in mint condition and the cable could easily have been re-spooled.If these reviews are read I would be curious to know why there is such a blanket policy, and there is no accounting for the actual product being returned or the potential purchase the return may facilitate. Further to that why is this not a standard thing that is said at the time of checkout?

What kind of store doesnt accept returns on opened items? I can understand for consumables like HDDs, SSDs, optical disks, etc. But for something like a computer case? A monitor? A mouse? Why should I be the one to shoulder responsibility if the brand makes a terrible product.Dont buy from Canada Computers. If they want to shoot themselves in the foot and not even try to compete with other Big online retailers, then let them die in agony.

I recently visited this location to pick up a monitor that was sold out everywhere else. This store is huge and the staff are very friendly and helpful. If you live in the Pico area I definitely recommend this store while shopping for PC and electronics items.

I will no longer be supporting this company. I will no longer recommend anyone to purchase here and I will never purchase from here myself.For the record, my disappointment has nothing to due with Covid regulations. They did very well while managing business to stay open during the pandemic. My issue involves their management and their return policies in regards to DEFECTED products.Three purchases in a row Ive had issues with and not one of them was resolved in any way.Canada Computers return policy is exchange within 30 days of original purchase date for defected items.1.) Purchased an Arctis 7 wireless headset. ($200 +tax) Charging port stopped working at 41 days. No honor of replacement or credit. Went through manufacturer warranty and got a brand new set.2.) Purchased a pre-built computer for a streaming set up. ($2799 +tax) Found motherboard wireless antennas missing and nowhere within packaging. Spoke to service desk who contacted management on my behalf. He responded two months later saying that communication had stopped at head management so he ended up giving me antennas ONLY AFTER my latest issue/visit.3.) Purchased a 27 Samsung Odyssey 1000R Curved monitor. ($799 +tax) 14 Days after using A bright red pixel appeared. After such a quick defect occurring, I decided to bring back to store same day I noticed the bright pixel. (EVEN WITHIN 30 day exchange policy. Which is boldly printed on the receipt).I wanted to directly speak with management, but the manager had no interest in speaking with one of his customers. The service desk employees response was they will not exchange it as Samsungs warranty policy states no warranty until 8 or more dead pixels appear on a monitor.After three negative experiences and absolutely no customer service I will begin to support Amazon over this business. Small businesses like this should be paying more attention to customer satisfaction instead of rapid sales margins. I love supporting small and home businesses, but when there is absolutely no appreciation or even ANY effort for customers and providing a positive customer experience, I refuse to support them.It really is a shame.I rated 2 stars instead of one because I have nothing against the employees who work at this location. They have nothing but great attitudes and knowledge, but their management needs serious improvement. I wish the employees at this location all the best! Thank you for making my visits pleasurable, unlike your management and head office.

These guys barely tried. Horrible experience.First off they don’t even pick up calls, so I relied on their website for stock information. Great, I braved the rain and went for the Strimer plus cable which shows they have in stock.I went to their old location and it was closed. I received no communication regarding this, and I’ve shopped a fair bit from this company.When I asked to find my cable, they gave a low effort to find it, explaining they just moved and couldn’t find it. I look a peek at their back storage and there wasnt a lost of boxes to find it from. I could probably find it if they let me do their job.There were about 5 staff, and 2 other customers. No reason not to help me at all.

I picked up an order here and left an expensive item behind. Like other people I had trouble reaching anyone via phone or email, so I just went back the next day to try and sort it out. It was sorted out quickly in person and I left with a really good impression of their service despite the mix up. Also, the terms are on their website but make sure you read the return policies for individual items as they do vary significantly.

I had to upgrade my computer recently. I usually do my own ram installations....DDRs 1-3. Apparently DDR4 is a real pain to install...brought in my rig thinking i was gonna have to wait around for my computer as i wasnt sure if any techs were in. I really lucked out, was served promptly and professionally and best of all i didnt have to wait around for my upgrade, the tech was so quick. I highly recommend Canada Computers for your upgrade needs, they have all sorts of parts on site, and very helpful staff members to help you on your way. They also have the the latest tech available for purchase, great selection. Will do business again in the future for sure.

Bought a gaming PC today, and overall experience was great. There were properly 2m social distancing, and only two customers in the store at any given time. I appreciated that they took safety seriously.Thomas a sales rep was very helpful, and despite a line-up of customers took his time and shared tips, warranty and return policy. The machine in question works great.

Had a great experience here. Brandon helped me out with ease when Bestbuys Geek Squad had no clue what I was talking about. They have hand sanitizer at door and you must wait at door until someone serves you which was within 1 minute. Everyone was wearing masks and masks are required to enter store which is great during a pandemic! I will not waste time going anywhere but here or London drugs when it comes to great customer service and knowledge about computer hardware and software. Thanks again for making my day Brandon.

Only go to Canada computers if you go in person and dont plan on returning anything. Tried phoning and got put on hold instantly and got forgotten about six times. Not only that but they got rid of their price matching and marked up the hard to get recently released gadgets. If I was you Id go to memory express. They have price matching, dont price gouge new gadget releases, and actually answer the phone.

I recently bought my PC here, it was a custom build. Everything seemed ok, they knew there stuff. But then after 1 month of being told about part delay after delay, I tried phoning them once in a while for an update, but this store DOESNT ANSWER PHONES, and if they do they cannot help you. So I was upset they wouldn’t answer their phone and this was an expensive PC. I phone the corporate customer service, only to be put on hold for hours, being hung up on by the bot that puts you on hold, and never was helped there either. ONLY VISIT IF YOU KNOW THE PRODUCT YOU WANT IS THERE OR YOU CAN WALK EVERYDAY TO VISIT IN PERSON!

Went in to look at some options for keyboards and was pretty pleased with the experience. The gentlemen was just around to assist with practicing social distancing. Maintained the distance but provided a truly personal experience. Answered all the questions, helped you educate about the various types of keyboards, types of buttons etc. Overall a much better experience than the times before. Before going to this store I visited the Best buy and the experience there was less than optimal. I like these guys. Id go back here again.

My son ordered the wrong part for his build. I submitted a ticket on January 18th. It is now February 3rd. I haven’t heard back. I attempted to leave a comment in the “post a reply” field but it would clear instead of posting. I reserved another part for pick up but was notified that I only had two days to pick it up which would not work for me. I tried to contact the business to see if they would extend it by two days. No one answers the store phone, I tried many times. I tried the corporate number many times, even waiting for an hour on hold. After an hour on hold the automated system says it will send you to voicemail but then it just hangs up on you, dial tone. You can’t get ahold of anyone. I’ve sent multiple email too, nothing. What’s the deal?

Its great that they are open every day, and once you get to see or talk to them in person or talk to them on the phone, they provide good service. However, they really need to update their website if they have to be closed for a day, and they really need to answer their phones consistently.Some days you can phone all day and even though they are open, they just dont answer. If they are short employees for this, they need to hire more.

Not everyone understands hardware and thats why I brought my Power Supply in for the. To look at and suggest a new one.After install it wouldnt work so I brought it back and they told me I cant exchange because its not defective...now Im stuck without a working PC and a power supply that doesnt work on my Dell.Customer service at this place is sub par and would not recommend to anyone needing help choosing the right parts.O stars.

The current in-store policy is only guided browsing, so we cant browse around for too long or without a goal. However the clerk (Brandon) who guided me was very friendly and helpful. He has some experiences with pcbuilding and helped me, a first time pc builder with some questions I had.Currently the monitors are not on display, so I couldnt make a comparison of products. However we can try out mechanical keyboards.This branch is a bit small so some items may not be available (a gaming mouse for my case), be sure to check availability online first...

There is no way to contact this company regarding placed orders. Do not recommend, Newegg is much better with faster shipping and better customer service.

I was helped by Jason at the store and he helped me put together a quote for aPc I’m planning to build a couple months from now.He was very informative, very good with communication and helped me make a few decisions that were not clear to me before going to the store.He managed to put together the quote very quickly while educating me on the options that I have. I didn’t feel like he is hard selling me on anything which was very refreshing and pleasant.

Long time customer Purchased rechargeable batteries which were not charging .I had let them know that they were going to be used in a screwdriver. I just purchased several high end parts at Canada Computers Coquitlam location.Quinn was the staff member that was helping me and he was absolutely fantastic. He was friendly, honest, very knowledgeable and was able to make some very good recommendations.For excellent customer service I definitely recommend this location and would also like to also thank the other staff that were eager to offer their assistance and expertise.Thanks guys!
