As you already new the airport is small and clicking photo inside the runway is not allowed. But the view at the time of landing and take off is great. You get cab facility in the airport. While going for boarding a flight please go 1 -2 hour early as it might take extra time for baggage and security check in.

Airport is small.. needs space to accommodate more than 1 flight at a time... It is very cumbersome to go to another place for covid test and recieve luggage there.. more than 1 h goes in all this. So much man power, buses are made to involve in the whole exercise... Needs major administrative action to make it more welcoming

Experienced a rare sight of this airport, as we were in a hurry and also to every single safety measures taken because we went just before the second wave pandemic. Hence everything was limited to the tourists. Airport is small as compared to other cities ofcourse, but it was clean and tidy. Would love to visit the new airport which is under construction right now.

The only airport in Andaman Islands. It is a short journey from Mumbai.Efficient crew and fast service. You have a seamless experience here. The wait time is minimal. And you can check out and check in without any hassle. The only issue is maybe the runway which is tiny.So its a little scary for people who have a fear of flying.

If you planning to visit andman and nicobaar then you have to go through rapid corona test at airport and every other island and if you got positive result ..administration will put you at quarantine center for 10 days. If you are with family member and in family if anyone got positive he/she will be put forcefully in quarantine centre and his/her family members will be left alone with his own regardless of women or child...you are also not allowed to have full/details corona test for confirmation..

Very small Airport, fight operated only till afternoon, after that no flight.Major flights are connected via Kolkata or Chennai.. very less direct flights..Prons:1. You may come here easily with auto in Rs 50-100, no airport entry charges2. You will easily get autos on arrival also or can take Govt taxi on reasonable price..3. Airport is located within the city, major hotels are within the 5kms range4. Hotel Lemon Tree is just outside of the Airport Gate, you may walk5. Foods and other items are available at Airport on reasonable price.Cons:1. After security check, there is very less space for waiting2. Very few flight are operated3. Not promoting digitilization very much at AirportOverall, it is always good experience to visit Andman, you will feel wonderful nature, fresh air, mind blowing views, transparent sea water, water activities etc.. must visit place..

There is only one gate for boarding but the airport is neat and clean although the airport is international but you dont find any international flights from here. The staffs and cabin crew are very friendly and cooperative rather than any airport and also there is few quite lounge and restaurants for passenger to eat or to chill your mind so I hope that u dont have any problem with these airport!👍

Though a small airport, but who cares when before landing or during take off you can have a wonderful view of the ocean, small hills , islands , etc. Those views are rare to see.Anyway as per infrastructure of the airport its not up to the mark, may be due to the space constrain. But, who is going to stay in airport?, when the service is good and the customer is happy that makes it all.

Security is very tight.. Right now airport is having limited facilities but it is expected to increase in near future.. Presently there is no wifi internet facilities available at the terminal...Theres a small snack bar, prepaid taxi assistance. Restrooms are clean and well maintained, with R.O. drinking water. Theres a souvenier shop operated by Sagarika Emporium. You can hire a auto rikshaw from outside the airport if you havent arranged your transport...Dont carry corals or any marine species (dead or alive) during departure from Port Blair airport, they are prohibited as per wildlife protection act. If you carry they will catch it in x-ray scan and ask you to drop it in the dustbin.. Photography isnt allowed inside for security reasons. But, still people took and even posted here..

Other staff involved in baggage handling and trolley handling behave as if their previous job was at the silicon Valley in Seattle.Expecting things to change once new airport becomes operational.Anyway ignore the airport.
