Food is absolutely delicious. Ive been here twice now. Service staff are friendly too and their desserts are a delight.
Not too bad - food is very nice and the service is good but the restaurant is shabby and needs severe renovation.
Just ordered and parts of the chicken were raw, very oily, garlic mushrooms were so powerful it was sickly, onion bhaji were soggy and flat.Ill stick to my local marion crescent one, never again from here, avoid,God knows where the positive reviews on here came from.
Delivery man very rude. Last time made me go to him at the end of the road in the rain to collect my food. This used to he a great restaurant but food has no flavour just chilli and sauce exactly the same for vindaloo and jalfrezi. A blended red sauce of which you can taste raw tomato puree. Never again. Save your money

Disappointing visit to Mountain view. We had prawn puree to start, which was fine. The Chicken Chilly just tasted like chicken covered in a hot sauce, not much flavour involved. And then for the main, the Hariyali chicken was nothing like described on the menu Cooked with an exotic combination of mint, coriander, green chillies with chef`s special herbs couldnt taste any green chillies or coriander. Tasted like a mix between a korma and a pea soup, I couldnt stomach the sauce because it was so heavy. I like spicy curries so this was a disappointment. Other curries were just blended up too, no texture or onions, just like soup! Sag paneer just tasted like plain spinach. Dal mahkani still had some dried lentils but otherwise nice. Wont be back.
The moment we entered at around 7:30 pm, there was a warm sweet soft smell of spices. Immediately noticed very clean premises and quick service. We sat very soon after entering. The tables are prepared in a professional manner with fresh clean clothes, double clothes, cups and forks and knives well arranged. The menus were thankfully clean (in other restaurants they are dirty and disgusting). Near serving of our chosen meals warm plates were set, cutlery that was not going to be used was removed. We ordered mutton and lamb dishes and naan stuffed with meat. The meats were very tender and juicy, the curries were very different and extremely delicious. Curries were of great consistency, not runny and not swimming in oil. Excellent cooking and well presented. I particularly enjoyed tasting the toasted spices, the garlic, the mildness of the chili... The quantity of meat in the curries was ok. Excellent service continued while we enjoyed our food. Tap water was served with a slice of lemon. At the end of our meal we were given wet disposable towels to clean our fingers. The only unfortunate drawback is that the toilets are smell strongly to damp. Toilets are clean.

Normally I love this restaurant. The food is really tasty, with good portion sizes! However, this time I ended up being kept up all night being sick with a bad belly. I ate nothing else all day so it must have been this restaurants food. Been put off it massively and will not be going again!
Great food and very good service. We were also impressed by how light our meals were. On the menu the restaurant owner mentions that they use less oil and salt than other Indian restaurants and that seemed to be reflected in the food we were served which was not swimming in oil as is sadly so often the case with Indian food. All in all we were impressed and will be returning.
Good food but never order for take away on a busy day. It took me over 3 hours to get my food. If they were honest with the waiting time I wouldnt of minded. Dreadful service.
I visited a few times recently and Mountain View has never failed to impress. Last Sunday Sameer and Ahmed offered a great friendly service. They were happy to make any vegetarian curry and after a small issue with the card machine, they threw a few extras in which was very kind. My new local curry house for sure.

Rude staff and cold, tasteless food. We have given this restaurant plenty of chances however the food and service has really gone down hill in the last few months.
This is the best Indian restaurant I have ever been to in my 60 years on Chislehurst - and all servies are excellent ones.Reception and all assistance staff were helpful,friendly, inviting and efficent. The food was new, totally superb, appropriately set up from planning to introduction, extremely satisfying and an extraordinary incentive at the cost. We appreciated the exceptional bar beverages and desert . Even meal or takeaway is outstanding as well. You will never disillusioned from their excellent services.Thank you to Mountain View & staff for taking such good care of us.

Going by the reviews on here the food was good I chose to order. Never again the food was bland will never be going back. if I was is the restaurant I would have definitely sent this food back.

Have no idea what the food tastes like, waited over an hour for our food and finally gave up and left, had to ask for a drink three times. It wasnt as if it was busy, there were only six or seven occupied tables. Terrible service, I wont be going back

Consistently brilliant. We usually collect so cant speak for the delivery service but the food is always well made and delicious. The staff are friendly and welcoming. We used to be regulars of the Blackheath branch a few years ago before it closed so we were delighted when we moved close to this branch. Easily the best curry around here.
Excellent and exciting food is what you get there, with plenty of choice. The service is always very friendly and welcoming too. The delivery service is also top notch. The manager there always has a smile, and nothing is too much bother for him. I will only go there above any other Indian Restaurant.
The delivery was quick but the best part was the food. I just ordered it around 4 and one of the greatest chicken tikka i had in my life had arrived before 5.

Used to be a firm favourite which I have praised to many others but something has changed over recent months. Service has declined. In addition, we no longer are treated as valued customers. So disappointed as this once special place has let us down. Ate their last night with friends who agreed. We had really been looking forward to our meal but were let down by a complete lack of the generosity which had made previous trips special. What a pity.
Amazingly tasty and authentic food. Ambiance, serving, quality of cutlery, staff presentation all very good. Highly recommended. Prices are reasonable too, however breads are a bit over priced.

Very disappointed with the foods today.The naan bread I ordered was burnt and the popadoms which came for free had the smell of stale oil.
Had a meal at Mountain View on 21st September. I was in a group of 10 people. The service was excellent, food very good and very good value for money. Highly recommended.

Good service but didnt not find food up to standard
I Ordered over £200 worth of food last night for a family members birthday meal. The food turnt up only to find out that 4 peshwari naan’s were missing along with rice and spicy papadum’s I phoned up to say it was missing they then sent the delivery guy who then wanted to charge an additional £20 for the missing food which had been ordered with the rest of the food. I then found 2 bones within my chicken tikka. Never will I eat from this restaurant again
We used to go to Mountain View in Blackheath for their Moonlight King prawns. Sadly that location is closed. The food at this branch was equally tasty, but the atmosphere wasnt as cosy. Might try the Greenwich one next.

Really delicious curries to be had here: the prawn puri was fab, as well as the fish malabar, saag paneer and black lentils. It wasnt spicy enough for me but thats just down to personal taste. Value for money is really great, and the waiting staff are friendly.Service was a bit slow and we were offered a drink at the end of the meal that didnt materialise, but that and maybe the atmosphere (a bit cold) were the only issues I had. New favourite curry house in the area!

Food okay (starters too less) but they refuse to honor their commitment to TasteCard.They claim they have two for 1 but when we ordered two starters and two mains after checking they were doing the two for 1 - they did not apply any discount . When I requested them the owner refused to acknowledge the tastecard and said his restaurant had a special contract with Tastecard wherein if you ordered 4 starters and 4 mains only then the two for 1 would apply . Anything less and it would not apply . We had ordered two starters and two mains and ended by paying the full price as he became argumentative and refused to honor tastecardVery bad experience - and certainly a poor Brand ambassador for Tastecard top
