Pollachi is famous for its variety of products. The most special of these is the cattle market. Pollachi has the largest cattle market in the South East. Its area is about one acre. Cattle are transported to and from Kerala from this market. Many types of cows from different parts of Tamil Nadu are sold here. Most of these cows are transported to Kerala for meat. This market is famous not only for selling cattle but also for selling goats.
