Amazing monastery, worth the visit.
From Podgorica there are no signs to this monastry whatsoever. You get there with narrow suburban road and there is nothing along the road that indicates an important landmark is nearby. Once there a house among hundreds of olive trees emerges, looking quite modern and uninteresting. Inside however there are impressive catacombs that hide a lot of history. A guy working in a shop was polite enough to give us 15-minute history lesson of the place.
Very unique place, highly recommended
Was not a big fan of it but its ok. Some caves and relics
Monastery Dajbabe is located near Podgorica and is dedicated to Holy Mother of God. The monastery is situated on hill in the village of the same name and has a very interesting history. The monastery interior is buried in the ground, and its interior space is made up of caves. In the monastery are the remains of the saint Simeon Dajbabski. There is a legend about how the monastery was made.In 1890 a Saint came to a boy and told him to move with the sheeps, because he stands on a holy place, and that in one cave there were his relics and remains. He also told him to build a church in that place. The boy told him that he was orphaned without a father and mother and that he was not able to build a church. The saint told him to talk about this miracle, which he did. He goes to the monastery Ostrog, and there he met the monk Simeon who believed him.Simeon came to Dajbabe in 1896., and in a half a year makes Monastery. The bones of mysterious Saint where never found. But he spoke to Simeon and told him not to search for them, because when the time is right he will show the place of his rest.It is believed that these are the remains of the monk Ilarion, first bishop in this region.
Holy place
Great historical monastery!
The monastery was founded in 1897. It is located in a cave onΒ Dajbabe HillΒ (Dajbabska gora), which raises aboveΒ Zeta valley. It was a spiritual event. To see the dedication that members of the early churches showed.
Beautiful caveβs church / monastery...extraordinay experience that yo βll remember for a long time...
Extraordinary! The real saint and mystical religious experience.
Never mind
Wonderful
Excellent
Nice monastery near Podgorica.
A small beautiful monastery near Podgorica. The temple itself is located in a cave, there are also the relics of St. Simeon. When we were there, one of the priests was leading part of the liturgy in Russian. After the service, parishioners gather in a room next to the temple, drink coffee or tea and communicate, very friendly and open.
It is very difficult to describe this holy place because it must be visited and experienced. The miraculous relics of St. Simeon breathed new life into many.
I visited the monastery maybe 20 years ago and now 3 days ago. Peace and tranquility always overwhelm me. to perform weddings and baptisms.
An unusual monastery located in the rock. The bridges of Saint Simeon Dajbabski were laid in it. It is a very strong monastery, certainly for recommendation because it is located near Podgorica
A beautiful monastery in a rock in the shape of a cross. Worth a visit.
The monastery in the cave! Something that is very rare to see!
Great saint, you will be greeted by an exceptional brother, the churchman Nikola
Another in a series of special shrines of great spiritual and secular value. A must visit.

Beautiful place
Dajbabe is an Orthodox monastery dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin and is located not far from Podgorica near the village by which it was named. It was founded in 1897 and the natural shape of the cave was used as a space for the church. Later, the cave was expanded to form the base of the church, with auxiliary chapels. The only visible part of the church is outside the cave and it is a spacious entrance porch with two bell towers. The interior of the monastery was painted by her kitoritor the sorcerer Simeon Popovic adapting the scenes to the natural shape of the rocks and he worked on the decoration until his death in 1941.
Interesting
Not far from the road, but near the mountain, seemingly beautiful, but in principle nothing special.
The temple is beautiful and interesting is the interior of the monastery, which is all in tunnels. You really should visit the monastery
You should definitely visit. The history of the monastery is remarkable and it has its roots in history. The driveway is a little difficult because of the work on the roads nearby.
Small but very significant. Visit the interior of the frescoed caves. Atmosphere of peace.
On the fourth floor there is excellent service. The guys repair quickly and efficiently. Already several years with them
Looks nice, well worth a visit.
A beautiful monastery, as well as frescoes in its caves.

WON-SENSE-NIG beautiful place! And good to see that it is still in use. When we arrived there was a kind of christening ceremony going on which made us a little lost in the beginning, but that behind the building (where the ceremony was) something to be seen was clear to us. When that ceremony was over we could see all the pomp and circumstance inside, as long as we didnt photograph some things and what was respected. Later, at the Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ in Podgorica, we met the two men who spoke to us at this monastery.
World Wonder, the monastery is in a cave shaped cross.
A wonderful monastery .. In a cave, say monks in the shape of a cross ..
A monastery with the holy relics of saint Simeon the Daybab Wonderworker
Very cozy and soul-cozy place.
A beautiful place with holy relics for prayerful exaltation
One of the greatest Saints of the New Age, Saint Vasilije Dajbabski
Incredible experience. Preliminary liturgy. Brothers are extremely hospitable.
Beautiful little monastery, I went there early and there was nobody, beautiful place
A beautiful monastery, composed of small caves, and its history is very interesting, as is the origin of the monastery itself!
It is a wonderful feeling to be in this shrine of St. Simon of the Daybabski. The monastery brotherhood is wonderful. A church in a cross shaped cave is something to be experienced.
This monastery looks impressive. It is a pity that it does not allow photography.
Beautiful Orthodox Church of the Holy Spirit in Montenegro. Thank God we have such monasteries.
