Authentic taste of Benne dose... The menu contains only 2 types of dose, i.e., Plain dose & Benne dose. Plain dose is also delicious. One can get extra chatny (no additional cost), aalu palya (no additional cost) also extra Butter (additional charges of Rs.10/-). Payment can be done by cash or UPI. The hotel will be usually crowded in the weekends. Waiting time may reach upto 15-20 mins. You can also watch preparation of Dose.

One of the top three names in the town for the benne dosaes. As of March 2021, they are serving a plate of 2 butter dosaes at Rs 70, 10rs cheaper than the GKH and 30rs lesser than RBD. But there is virtually nothing you can distinguish when it comes to taste.The place is close to the railway station and bus terminal. You can hog on some butter dosae and quench your craving for the same in case if you are passing through the town.I have been visiting this place since 2012. Every time I pass through the city, taking the Hubballi-Bengaluru route, I ensure I visit the place and dig into some finely roasted benne dosaes.

Authentic benne dosa very tasty and the potato curry & chutney are the best combination to go far. Try it and you will not be disappointed. Had tried in Bangalore and was not happy with it. But after he saying here feel like having often.

Tastes above average, but not the most delicious dosa I have ever tasted. Best dosa point in Davanagere for sure. I felt this is over-priced (same price all over the city, across all other outlets - A single Benne dose costs 50 INR).Not a hygiene place, comparatively better than other famous dosa outlets in Davanagere.

All the restaurants here are old Sagar. This is the only one where I have had the famous benne dose and I have got to say, its out of this world. You can have benne dose in Bangalore and it will not match the taste here. Definitely worth it. Karnataka does the the best dose hands down.

Went to this place on our trip to Goa.You need to get into the Davangere city, which will add at least one hour to your trip if on the way to Goa.Place was easy to find, however parking might take some effort as you will have to find it next to the road.It was moderately crowded.Other than serving food, other facilities are at a minimum. So dont expect fancy place.When you order benne dosa , it will be with one khali dosa.Taste was good but not something extra special.They have bottled water available for purchase.Visit there once to try a different taste.

Simple benne (butter) dosa served with mouth watering potato mash , heaven. We went there for dinner , we ended up having breakfast as well the next day. Lovely tea as well. Reminds us of a bygone era. They do accept upi as well

This palce is told to serve good bene dose but in reality I didnt feel so as when we went there the first dosa served was good followed by a very ordinary and disappointing dose later on.Ther staff are not cooperative as when the review was shared they scolded is only which is very bad treatment for a customer.High time they learn basic customer friendly interaction with minimal time of serving doseee.
