Amma Hotel is a Malayalee Tamil restaurant that started in late 2018. Run by a Keralite family, it serves some lip smacking Kerala meals for lunch of which I am a frequent customer. Their delicacies for lunch includes fish curry and fish fry. The prices are reasonable - a Kerala meals set with fish curry and fish fry costs you only Rs130. Considering that restaurants serving fish in the MIDC Talawade locality are rare, Amma Hotel is a boon, an oasis in the desert that is MIDC. Their Kerala meals also have an authentic taste, which is why you will find the Malayalee folk rushing over to the restaurant during lunch hours. Although the ambience can be improved, I believe their current focus is on the food quality and building up a strong clientele in the area.From time to time, you could face issues while lunching at this place. For eg, it is right next to a furniture shop where sawing and drilling of wood happens and you can smell the sawdust in the air when the guys in the adjacent shop are working. Nonetheless, its a very good Kerala restaurant and worth a visit, if you are in the area and are looking for some traditional Kerala meals.Edit : Prices have gone up from 2019. A fish curry meals with fish fry will set you back by Rs150.
