Tried this place last Sunday & absolutely enjoyed it! Some must try items are mutton Rarra, tandoori malai broccoli, garlic Naan, also their mutton galouti kebab is Lipsmacking. I cannot wait to visit this place again! The staff is super friendly and helpful!

The best thing I liked about this place was the ambience and the hospitality of the staff. A very calm and quiet place with descent music.Economical as food along with drinks wont come very heavy on pocket.We ordered mutton kebabs which were just ok and veg keema which was good.Presentation of food is grt.Few things which I would like them to improve is time taken to serve , keep more options of food and drinks eg. Add something like fries 🍟 in your menu which is very basic. Also try if you can have separate washrooms for men and women.

Located in the inner parts of Pilerne, this is. A Great place for Mughlai, Awadi and Tandoori food. From the starters, my most favourite was the Mutton Galouti Kebabs - succulent and juicy! They have great choice in tandoor food as well. The Kashmiri Dum Aloo, on the other hand, has a fantastic flavour and taste and went perfectly well with the Indian Bread. Not to forget my favourite, the Phirni!The place has a very Desi Vibe that matches the cuisine and they have ample of seating space (indoors and outdoors). If you love Indian food, this is your go-to place!

Really loved our dining experience at Cafe Gypsy Baba. Located on the Pilerne-Candolim Road, you will spot this beautiful white Goan house when driving by. The house/restaurant interiors are pretty bare, but have interesting paintings on the walls - the best artwork being the 3 babas at the back. The good thing is that the restaurant is air-conditioned and is quite cool, especially in the first room as you enter. The outdoor garden seating would be nice in the nighttime, provided there are no mosquitos, but during the day it would be too hot for comfort.We ordered the Malai Mushroom, Galouti Kebabs and Afgani Chicken kebabs - all cooked to perfection and super tasty! For mains we ordered Chicken Kofta with Roomali Roti, and Mutton Biryani which were both good. True to Awadhi style cooking, the biryani was mild and fragrant, without any overpowering spices and gravy. We ordered phirni for dessert but the portion was extremely tiny. We ordered 3 of them and the quantity was different in each one, which was strange - as if it was quickly put together at the last moment.The service was quick, but the staff could be better acquainted with the menu. They seemed very unsure when we asked them to suggest starters, and the owner told us what the specials were, much later. The staff didnt know. Will definitely return for their amazing kebabs!

Too much devotional ! Old reviews were quite rave but the food options is limited to North Indian ( no continental or others ) . Food was good , service was quick ! Should add more eating options.

This is a new restaurant that has opened away from the hustle and bustle of Candolim-Calangute. They have a lot of seating options and seem to have transformed an old house into a quaint restaurant with murals of interesting art. They have a two-person band that performed a few songs for us.We ordered the Tandoori Soya Chaap, Mutton Galouti Kabab, Mutton Biryani, Beetroot Halwa, and Phirni. Every single dish we ordered was super tasty. I still have hunger pangs thinking about the Mutton Biryani. The staff is attentive and friendly. Go give this place a try!

Gypsy baba is a nice cosy cafe , great for big groups like ours (15+ people ) the service was excellent and staff very friendly. Really loved all the starters especially the Galauti kabab and tandoori brocoli 👍

Lovely ambience with worst food. If you just want to enjoy the ambience, go for it, but food I wouldnt recommend. A YouTube food influencer has put too good feedback by which we went and food turned out to be terrible.Galouti kebab was the only good food, but ₹410 per plate, and one plate had 4 pieces, so definitely not worth the cost.Cheese stuffed mushrooms were decent.Tandori broccoli was overwhelmed with cardamom.Biryani, ohh my god, the place claims itself to be Lucknowee. This biryani is an insult to Lucknow. It was only some boiled white rice + boiled chicken mixed together with some chilly powder. When we returned, they very politely apologized but then came back with the same bowl telling they have repaired it and the repaired version turned out to be a disaster again.Rumali roties were decent.Paneer Kali mirch was not bad.Chicken lababdar gravy masala was great but chicken pieces were pathetic.The last disaster was the desserts. There were Phirni and Beetroot halwa on the menu. We ordered both and both were bad.Unfortunately the person who came to take feedback started defending telling thats how the food in Lucknow made though he was being polite and considerate at some point.

I visited Cafe Gypsy Baba for first time, I must say the ambience of the cafe is really nice. The seating arrangement is very well. Very good hospitality. They serve white owl beer. Highly recommended to visit the cafe for some yummy food. 😄

Try their kebabs variety for starters especially the Galauti and Seekh Kebab.. for mains, you can give their Biryanis a try and also the Chicken Korma is worth digging into. The atmosphere here is really good. It really has the proper chill atmosphere. You can hangout with your friends have some good food. You can also get your own drinks here. The food is tasty and well within budget.

An upcoming Cafe in the area with a tremendous potential to be the best in town. We were just passing by and the name of the cafe attracted us. We had a chat with the owners and the Gypsy Baba team and learnt about their expansion plans. The ambience makeover is in progress and we could already see some creative stuff inside the cafe.We tried some pizzas, pastas and brownies, all made in-house, including the pizza base and brownie. We will definitely give it a try once again!!!!
