Great place in Pilani. A large and exquisite statue of Lord Shiva is installed here, which people like very much. If you visit Pilani, then you must come here once.

This place is famous in Pilani under the name of Old Historic Site Pond. In olden times, the drinking water of human and cattle used to flow from the empty land lying near the Beed Pilani area during the rainy season and used to gather in this pond. People used to take it from here to their homes and take it for drinking and they used to bring the cattle from their homes and feed them in the Gaughat built in this pond in which the water of the pond is connected. Over time, the use of rainy water stopped. The Birla family has now stopped this pond and the surrounding land and built a pond park here. In the middle of the pond, by making a statue of Lord Shiva (idol), giving it a new look, beautifying it and making it a delightful place and taking it under his management has added it to his personal property.

This idol was started by CSK Birla ji in 2009. Shri Maturam ji Verma, who is a famous sculptor, started work in the 80 feet idol of Lord Shiva named Siddheshwar Mahadev Pilani for which he did not pay a single penny from Birla ji Took and completed this work on 13 November 2011
