This park is really pretty. Was visiting family from out of town and had time to stop here. The blue water... the bridges. All beautiful. Was sad seeing so much garbage in the water though. People really do suck. The bathrooms were also pretty dirty. Doors didnt latch shut. Grim and garbage piled up in there also. And maybe putting some texture down on pathways would be good as it was raining when I visited and the pathways were super slippery. May avoid future issues with a layer of sand/concrete mix.
Such a fun place to be on the weekend. Feels safe. Family oriented. I first visit on February 13th, 2021 the weather was windy and a little chilly. Bring a jacket or long sleeves layer. Check the weather before you head out. Looking for an inexpensive date night or a quality picnic time with loved one/s this would be the hot spot. Parking lot are plenty. Enjoy!
A great place to take in beauty & have fun. With the ponds, play area, amusement parks, & walking trail every individual and family is due to find something to meet their needs. The park is well maintained & the community shares it well. Lots of shady areas too!
The weather was nice and the park was very beautiful and clean. It was nice to watch the geese and the children playing.
Perfect place to take my 4 year old. All the rides were his size and he was allowed to go on the rides on his own. This is a perfect place for toddlers to experience certain types of roller coasters that fit their age and height.
1st time visit, park was full of families and bird species, park actives, social distancing, mask wearing, and social people respectful of each other. I did have to walk aways to use the restroom, thank goodness this one wasnt locked. The park maintenance drove through often and the park had a clean appearance.
Absolutely beautiful. Fantastic spot for family photos
Wonderfully enchanting Park and the duck geese river is must see. Most especially when the waterfall fountains begin to flowRemind me of the magical parks developed in the ancient Italian Cities, when I was a child. And they also have a most magnificent miniature railroad system. For all children, young and old to enjoy.Highly recommended 😎👍💜💙💜
Very large and clean park with very clean restrooms. Normally this park has everything but COVID has caused the amusement park and peddle boats to be closed for now. The park is HUGE!!! Fishing pond! Lots of room to fly a drone or a kite and run free!!! My kids love it here!!
Needs a band stand but its fairly well kept and the enchanted island is so cool with the rides and train! Its a wonderful place that luckily nobody from the town council has messed with
Nice walking paths and places to picnic also dog friendly
Great park, family friendly, and a nice set of basketball courts.
Great park for young kids. Free to get in and just 21 bucks for unlimited rides. Staff is friendly and the park was clean. No real lines for anything except tickets and food. Would recommend for kids up to age 14, probably wouldnt be as fun for older kids.
Encanto park deserves to be visited, back in the 1970,s it was a dump, not well maintained. That has improved tremendously. Its an old park and are homeless hanging out here and there, like most Phoenix city parks but Ive never had any problems. I go there quite a bit now.
Very nice. I felt safer than the last time I went and its cleaner/ the wild life seem happier.
Went on a Monday afternoon. Huge geese everywhere.... lots of Goose droppings.. extremely Green water is intriguing, but slightly unsettling. Few questionable characters around screaming to themselves as loudly as possible, but other than that, a decent place to stop and check out for 10 minutes... in their defense, the amusement park was closed. Smh.
My family and I really enjoy the pool and the kids really had a good time. The Encanto pool was very clean and not crowded and the water was so fresh. I like the way the City of Phoenix has you place your appointment online first and offers you a time slot for a small fee.
My favorite park in Phoenix. Always full of life, birds, and all types of greenery. Its an oasis in the desert
Pretty active place to go to. I come here to play handball, I believe they have 6 courts to play in, as well as 4 basketball courts, volleyball courts, nice pool, a good running platform and scenery. Tennis courts available too and I believe they have a staff member or two to help you out with any equipment or gates to unlock of you need to access a certain court to play in.
Who knew??? A real oasis with beautiful vegetation n bodies of water. Amusement park and a view of downtown thats incredible... will definitely go again
First, Encanto park is huge! An awesome place to exercise, take a walk, bring the dog, yada that kind of thing. But lets not forget about the amusement park! Encanto park Enchanted Island Amusement Park is a toddler and child friendly amusement park. Most of the rides are actually too small for adults. Think of six flags for kids and youll get the idea. Theres roller coaster rides, a splash pad, merry go round and lots more. Theres also a few confectioners stands for snow cones and such. Theres also a paddle boat rental there and you can rent a paddle boat by the half hour. But the water is disgusting and they definitely dont keep trash out of it. I feel sorry for the birds and I wouldnt eat any fish out of the water, either. That aside, Encanto Park is a beautiful place and the rides are fun, so go!
Big clean playground for kids. Usually clean bathrooms supplied with toilet paper and hand soap! Water fountains are cold and good. Usually has a good amount of kids in the area. Lots of space to ride a bike or skates with kids. Big lake to fish also. The enchanted island area is great for toddler age kids and offers cool rides at great prices. For older kids they have the paddle boats and playground. FGreat family spot!!!
I love the pond and the ducks . Kinda reminds me when I was younger living in New Jersey . Id go feed the ducks and get lost in the moment of the peacefulness . Encanto park has a lot to offer at no cost . Its a Jem to be treasured and enjoyed . Remember to pick up after yourself and throw away your trash in proper places . Dont leave it behind for someone else to pick up . Encanto park can be a place for both yourself or with a family . Will take my sister and her children there when they visit for my birthday . Aug 20
Family oriented place. Great for a BBQ. Feed the birds ducks ,geese, etc. Paddle boats are cool.
It was wonderful. Me an my beautiful granddaughter had lunch and enjoyed the day.
Really nice park. Very large. Has numerous ponds including one for fishing even tho i suggest NOT doing it. The water is rather filthy. Lots of ducks to feed but be very very very aware that the birds, ducks and worse the goose/swans are aggressive!! We attempted to feed some and got attacked by some of them so watch your kids!
The water in the lake was the cleanest that Ive ever seen it. Everything was closed but it was still pleasant to walk around it.
Beautiful park! Lots of ducks and geese in the beautiful water. It has nice paved trails to get around on and there doesn’t seem to be as many crazy people there as other parks in the city. 5 stars!
Nice 👌 place to go recommend you 👍 go in cooler weather 😎 great place to fish 🐟 and picnic 😀
Has a lot of shade during the afternoon planning to join a soccer league out in Encanto park has a big basketball court volleyball courts a place for the little ones to Play at go out an enjoy it across the street amusement rides for the kids
Beautiful place to take your children do something for yourself or feed the ducks
I love Encanto park its a beautiful park the grounds are nice the ponds geez the ducks. All nice ??? But its a big but the parking is afoul disgusting horrible the is so sadistic no shades if any kind no car coverage no trees nothing to shade the vehicles and they well known for over half of the year its sizzling in the parking area yet they do nothing no efforts to bring shades to the parking area so seniors or not in perfect health be very careful during the summer days city of phoenix parks and recreation are in charge
Serene for peaceful walks and or relaxation. Still Phoenix though so remain vigilant.
This is a great park with lots to do. They have 8 tennis courts, 4 full sized outside basketball courts, 2 concrete volleyball courts, 2 sand volleyball courts, a baseball field, 2 playgrounds, a river that runs through the park. Lots of greenery and sidewalk. I guess the only think it doesnt have is a football field.
I love this park. Growing up in the valley, Enanto park was a very special place for my family. It was clear across town from Scottsdale. Every now and then our mother would pack us up in our VW bug and take us to the park for the day. The canoes were a great treat to rent and navigate the water ways. The amusement park was a great experience. When we had run amuck long enough to get a big appetite, then we would find a beautiful shady area with a picnic table and enjoy a picnic in the park. Encanto Park is a wonderful place to get away from all the everyday stuff right in the middle of the big crazy city. Good memories.
Beautiful park in the heart of Phoenix with waterfalls, playgrounds, picnic areas, and a sports complex. If youre looking for some fresh air, make your way to Encanto Park! Oh, and there is also a small amusement park for the kiddos! The park covers a large area, so I recommend downloading the app, Avem. Itll help you find all Encanto Park amenities.
Beautiful place and spacious. I noticed that they only had one bathroom opened which was far from our location. The water where we were feeding the ducks was awful looking like swamp water but only in that particular area everywhere else that had water looked appealing
This is a great spot if your in need of a recharge!! It has lots of old growth trees (thats large trees) so plenty of shade.. even if your alone its a good place to visit.growing up I had many Fond childhood memories of encanto and its timeless, hope it never changes!!!
This park is a big part, of this city, that I have loved, from the moment I visited it, in the late 80s... That is when I moved to Phoenix to attend college... I am from Reno, Nevadas, and parks there are very similar to Encanto Park... If your lucky enough to be invited or just plain an outing for yourself dont hesitate your decision to visit you will not be disappointed... bring proper duck and goose food to feed them at the little lake that is in the park theres also an enchanted island for entertainment, vendors that offer food and drinks, childrens rides, a train that takes you around the park,Patel boats to rent, golfing, grills and picnic tables, tennis courts, hand ball, swimming pool, basketball courts, bicycle rentals, I have probably forgotten something to tell about the park... go and enjoy yourself..
I love taking the kids here, very nice entertaining place to have some fun.The kids love the rides and they also have a small water park area to play.Reasonable prices for unlimited fun and games.
Has not changed much is 30 years although I did not notice the band shell it used to have. Good park, so is scottsdale park. Lots of duck and geese with babys. The the pigeons just make a path for you and your dog. Dont forget to bring some bread for the birds, they will follow you in love, till the breads gone.
Nice place.only fished a few hours. My wife caught a good channel catfish. I hooked up and lost a smaller one. The 🐕s really enjoyed it too
Lovely park, very serene and clean.
Rented a city bike and rode through and around the park. It was a great time!
This is a real gem in the heart of the city. I was pleasantly surprised on how big and well kept this park was. Sometimes to do for everyone!
Beautiful, quite, and peaceful. They also have an Enchanted Island with rides. A lot of photo ops. They also have paddle boat rentals, and you can fish
Encanto Park was beautiful. a little spot of paradise amongst the city. little body of water that you can pattle boat in. feed the ducks and geese that are all around. playground for kiddos and plenty of running room. or just bring a blanket and have a picnic. there is a little ride area for kids that is free to enter. but it does cost money to ride the rides.will definitely be going back take in more and more.
Finally getting to be outdoors and the weather is almost perfect. Had a great time and the kids are so tired from all the running around and activities. Will definitely be looking forward to when I go back.
Ive been coming here over 20 years. Played as a child, now I bring my children. Its beautiful. A lot of activities f on paddle boats to a kiddie land with rides. And a regular playground or two. Plenty of ducks to feed, and the geese will come right up and take food from your hands. Highly recommend for both residents and visitors.
Had a great time taking my daughter to feed the ducks, and geese.a dollars loaf of bread and your good to go. Just dont forget to hydrate, its starting to head up. May have to bust out the sunblock soon to. Have fun and be safe everyone
Nice park but its to warm out to fully enjoy.
Beautiful park for a walk with your dogs
Came to encanto park for our sons soccer game, great park, lots of space
Beautifully kept up park with a little bit for the whole family. The rides are focused on young children, but the park grounds and waterways are great. Fishing is even allowed given a valid fishing permit. Water for both humans and pets available.
Its a nice park... IF you enjoy wandering sidewalks and bridges that seem to have been laid out by M. C. Escher. 😎 Its as if the walks are designed to prevent escape from the park. 🤣
Great park with many fun things to do like play tennis, basketball, pickleball, volleyball, or just have a great time at the park.
One of the more beautiful places and I really enjoyed the Ducks the trees the Landscaping the overall feel of Encanto Park
Very well kept park. Bridges and water features add to its character. I have not been to all of the kids playgrounds, but the one next to the basketball court and baseball fields was very cute with baby turtles and frogs to climb on. The rose garden is very beautiful. Nice place to visit on a nice day.
Lovely park, great for picnic, feed duck or geese. Bathrooms available. Had a lovely time with kids.
We went magnet fishing. It was about 7am. Quiet, clean and very peaceful. Large park with childrens play area. Oh, we caught fishing lures!
Ever since my First Date in this Beautiful place Ive Never stopped coming here ... It was very VERY clean, family oriented park. It was the NICEST park by far that Ive been to. My husband and I barbequed and enjoyed ourselves with out any confrontation from other park goers or other people. It would b a park I would recommend to my family, friends, co-workers, or anyone else thats interested n a clean, quiet, peaceful picnic, stroll n the park, birthday party or mayb even jus a simple barbeque. You have my top recommendations Encanto Park. Keep our community simple and clean!!! 👍
Great place and awesome park. My son loves it
Love this park ....been fishing a few times haven’t caught a thing but still a really nice park .
One of the few historic parks in the valley. I love visiting the community of geese, ducks and pigeons that call Encanto park home.
Enchanted Park was closed but my daughter and I had a blast at the playground.
