On the way from Gondwala to Phaltan, there is a small village called Jhirapwadi. From there a fork turns inwards. It takes you directly to a small village called Girvi. The path through the arch of the thicket is so breathtaking that it gives a glimpse of how beautiful the place is.17-18 km Once the distance goes in, the mortgage village takes over. We had gone to this village with a special wait to see the temple of Gopal Krishna built 500 years ago by Baburao Deshpande, who is also a Deshpande of this village. This is the temple. At the end of the village, the temple is in an old castle, resting in a quiet, lush green environment. The temple was closed when we left. The present Deshpande descendants are in Pune and Phaltan. The old mansion with the temple and the maintenance of the area is given to a family. The priests had come from the village in the morning and performed pooja. They found out that he had the key to the lock.Seeing our temple and the desire to see Gopalakrishna, a boy went to the village on a bicycle. After a long time, the young priest Baba came. He was a simple man. All the temples were shown from the inside out. Heard the story of the idol. He went to the temple and observed the idol closely. Let the photo be removed. The story of the idol is as different as the idol itself.500 years ago, Baburao Deshpande, a sattvic householder, had a vision that Shaligram was in his field. When they searched for a specific place, they found a large black stone. He decided to make an idol of this stone, his idol, Gopalkrishna. He called many artisans. But the craftsmen expressed their inability to make the idols in their minds.Disappointed, Baburao let out a sigh of relief. And one morning two artists came to him. He agreed to make an unbroken stone idol as Baburao wanted. But Baburao was looking at him in despair. How will these two idols be made? One blind and the other little. But the two promised to make an idol for them. Their work continued in a closed room. Meals were being provided to them. But no one could see how the idol was happening. After some time, he opened the door of the room, called Baburao inside and showed him the idol. Awesome .. The idol had become amazing. Much more beautiful than Baburao imagined. Gopalkrishna playing with a flute in his hand, two cows sitting at his feet and raising their necks and listening to the flute, the warmth on their faces, the ornaments on Gopalkrishnas shoulders .. The design of these ornaments was directly similar to the ornaments in Vrindavan. The ghat was three-sided.The upper bouts featured two cutaways, for easier access to the higher frets. There is a big pindi of Shiva under Gopal Krishna standing. The artisans have carved their pictures as if they were signed under a statue. One blind and one little .. and with them are the spearmen of Lord Vishnu ... Jai, Vijay.Baburao was overwhelmed to see such a beautiful embodiment. He organized a banquet to felicitate the artisans. Saying that he would take a bath before the meal, the two went to the well in the field behind the castle. Nothing came back. Today, the Samadhi of the two is built on that Vavi in their memory. After some time, Baburao also kept the body. His Samadhi is in the basement under the temple. Priest Baba also took us to that place. Beyond is the Samadhi of the ancestor of the Deshpande clan. There is a small temple of Lord Ganesha in front of the Samadhi. The old mansion, the mahirapi on top of it, the bushes growing somewhere, the ancient idol of Ganapati in front of that samadhi, the wind on the Malrana making a whistling sound .. it seemed that time was frozen in that corner of the mansion.Shri. Deshpande was called by Pujari Baba. He spoke very eloquently. If I had been informed a day earlier, I would have come myself and given the information. A really big man. Big hearted. On the way back, I noticed that there is a way to Phaltan mortgage from inside and that distance is very short. This is definitely a place to visit.
Very beautiful
