One of the best Korean BBQ experience around. Staff will do the cooking for you, you just eat. Air is not stuffy because there are exhaust air ducts on every table. Price is expensive but its definitely worth it

My go to korean food place. Love the sit on the floor section. not so crowded after the fully vaxx dine in announced. service good as usual and food taste authentic. Staff will always standby and respond quick when you call. Overall good as always!

Came for dinner on a Friday night, the crowd started pouring in around 8. Staff wise, there were about 5 people manning the floor. They tried but they were not enough to be honest, it was hard to get their attention. Service was all over the place - rushing to cook the meat that the contents flew out of the bbq pit. If its hard we can just do it ourselves.We ordered one of the big sets for 3-4 pax and some additional meat. Flexibility was good as we could choose a different pancake from the one that was offered in the set. Meats were ok, tasted good but the marinated meats werent as good as I remembered them to be. Used to come here pretty often.

Quite a nice place for Korean BBQ.Deco is clean and simple. Service is fast and friendly.Prices are around RM100 per pax after taxes so its not exactly a cheap place.Good for occasional gatherings to satisfy our tastebuds for Korean bbq

Food that we had: The kimchi stew was excellent (as always) and our first time trying the black bean paste noodles and by far is one of the best I have tasted in Malaysia (not too sweet , balanced and the noodles are fresh). We also had beef stew that is our go to every time and still good.The staff and bosses of Dao Rae SS2 / hartamas / Usj / Puchong have been consistently friendly and helpful. They take care of their customers, place and hygiene.I am always satisfied and happy after every meal. Keep it up !

One of the more comfortable Korean BBQ restaurant chain in Malaysia. Menu is pretty standard but have some new additional dishes. Prices is much higher than others but over here, you get comfort with air con instead of eating outdoors. The waiters are fast and attentive. A good place for families and kids to come enjoy korean food. Also do come early as the crowd comes in during 7pm plus.

All the staff that served us are very polite, friendly and funny as well. The boss offered us a free pork side dish which is finger licking delicious 😋We reached around 8:45pm, and by 9:15pm they actually checking with us whether do we wanna add on any additional side dish as the kitchen is closing soon.We were kinda nervous that they are closing soon, but all the staff calm us by telling us we can take our time to enjoy our food, no rush for us and still servicing us promptly.We ordered a small pot of kimchi jeongul, delightfully satisfied dinner we have. Fantastic customer service 👍🏼👍🏼

Fine.When making payment the boss is so rude and no manners.And the important part is the food just so so, the vege too old and dry. the whole dinner like just to fulfill my stomach and it’s not enjoyed.Only nice thing is the TEA

Love the flavor of the BBQ would recommend the pork BBQ along with the Korean miso soup. Waiters were friendly and helpful would help you get the meat done and ready to eat. The side dish comes in a wide variety and able to refill. Pretty authentic flavors and opened by Koreans .

Very nicely marinated spicy meat. Love the seafood pajeon and pork fried rice as well. They help you barbecue the meat, but it is quite understaffed and the staff do not speak english so communication may be difficult.

Been awhile we have not had good Korean food. Last visit was bang average, but today was a definite improvement in food quality.

Daorae never dissapointed me. And this branch got 1 of the head waitress is so friendly and good services, all the way BBQ the meat nicely to serve us. Make us have a easy & comfortable dinner.

Service is fantastic but this is probably the worst korean bbq i’ve ever had, meat is really tough and chewy and the meats used are not high quality at all. the only good thing there was the jajeongmyeon and the serving size for the vegetables is tiny compared to other restaurants like qinghegu that gives u a giant basket

Service was soooo bad. We ordered the set for 4 pax. They forgot the hotpot until we asked, and it then took a long time to come. They also needed reminders to serve soups that came with the sets and refills requests were ignored. Servers dont seem to understand what we wanted and dont even respond. Wont come again.

Nice environment & great services at here. Price is a bit expensive. Staffs will help you to do BBQ job in front of you. There got many types of side dishes and taste nice. I like the pancake with corn so much. Free flow side dishes & tea.

The place is quite cosy with half of the space allocated to raised wooden platform. Food-wise, whatever you come to expect from a Korean restaurant they have it. Servers are also attentive to your request. Ideal place to bring clients, dates or have long dinners with friends.

The only thing authentic about Daorae is the owner. The food unfortunately has been changed to accommodate Malaysian taste. Way too sweet.

Good restaurants

Took Set 5 for 2-3 pax. Very underwhelming side dishes, not tasty at all to be honest. Kimchi stew was watery and bland, kimchi itself was so so. The only tasty thing was the seasoned meat. Wouldnt come back again, although I recall enjoying the daorae lunch set in Hartamas branch.

Its Daorae. Youll find them all around Malaysia. The food is pretty good but the prices are a little higher than some other Korean BBQ restaurants. Still, its Daorae, you wont go wrong here.

Fresh meat, average kimchi, excellent service. We had the RM208 set for 4 pax and it comes with kimchi soup with ramen.

The food is very good and I enjoy coming for lunch with my colleagues. Somehow, it is a little bit quiet. Perhaps it is the location because it is 1st floor, and they should try to advertise a bit more.

Can’t be denied that the food is delicious and the staff are friendly. However, My only feedback is the minimum 1 order per person. It doesn’t make any sense that my boyfriend had his dinner and he was just giving his companion for me because I was craving for it and hadn’t have my dinner and he also had to order a dish. It was too much for myself to finish it and ended up wasted the food. Ridiculous isn’t?

Standard dorae. Never dissapointed. Food is nice and staff are efficient. Would come back again.

The place is clean and tastefully decorated, and the staff friendly and responsive. The food is of consistently high quality, and there is quite a wide variety of side dishes (banchan) as well. My go-to place for Korean fare.

Good food nut the pricing is steep. But delicious food, free flow ice cold tea, cant complain for good environment. Parking is hell outside. =)

BBQ pork items are very delicious. Side dishes are fairly unique and change each time. The seafood pancake was slightly undercooked though and we would have preferred if it was more thoroughly cooked.

Food is good, better than before. Stops me from going to Taipan USJ branch since they improve. Just a tip, always tell the staff how you want your beef bbq to be cook. Or else they might just over cook it.

Yummy food but price a little high

Went to puchong branch with high hopes but ended up utterly disappointed. Was there with my family along with my baby today and the Korean boss was taking our orders with very bad attitude when we did not realised that minimum order of bbq meat should be 2 dishes. Worse still, when we requested him to bbq our pork at other tables, he unhappily telling us that all tables are full when they are not, moreover, giving double standard services by bbq other customers meat at an empty table behind us. Not a considerate boss at all when i have a baby with me and hes bbq ing all around us yet there are plenty of empty tables elsewhere! As there are still plenty of Korean restaurants around, Ill never go back to daorae again!

Ntg much. Just that their foreign workers are more powerful than the customer and it seems like theyre having period at the same time altogether. Asked us to leave even before their closing time and I haven fin my soju at that time. Other customers are still slurping their jiggae without any prob. This happened because I brought 2 other friends who already had their dinner and its just me alone alone ordering. I ordered kimchi jiggae and a bottle of soju for myself and after my food is served, they just keep coming over to check if my friends are stealing my food. Come on, are you expecting them to wait down stairs as I have my dinner alone? By the way, their kimchi jiggae taste as bland as plain water, ban chan was good tho. Not sure if its their way to revenge which I swear I did ntg wrong.
