Awesome products reasonable discounted prices

Very good store, reasonably priced for clothing and accessories for travel, hiking or backpacking.

Ive been there twice. both times there were more staff than customers, but no one came to help me.

Gareth is IMO a bit of a legend in Perth Outdoor Stores, he served me some 15 years ago in another shop over the road for some Expedition Equipment. Meeting him again recently was a nice surprise! His knowledge and advice is almost unmatched in Perth. I’ll be back here for sure! :)

I have had two very disappointing experiences with returning items to this store. The first time it was a down jacket which was shedding feathers continuously. The male staff member was rude, intimidating and at first refused to refund the cost of the jacket. I am a confident adult and I stood my ground. The other staff in the shop were embarrassed and very helpful once the male staff member was out of hearing range.The second time my partner purchased an item for me using the catalogue number for a Merino top. The top was not the same as one shown in the catalogue and the stitching was overlooked on the outside of the garment. The overlocking was finished incorrectly. I asked my son to return the item as I live in regional WA and can not always get to the shop. He was also treated rudely by a male shop assistant. This is the last time I purchase from Macpac. Very unhappy customer.

My partner and I were looking for a winter jacket and boots. As we camp a lot and are planning the big trip, they had to perform, and be both lightweight and comfortable. Gareth came to our assistance and with his knowledge, experience and patience was able to exceed our expectations in every way. He listened to us to understand our requirements, and so was able to show us a range of jackets and boots for us to consider.We left, knowing that we had made the correct decisions due to Gareths assistance, experience and advise. As a retired Sales Manager, I was really impressed by Gareths custom service!

Well stocked store. Had almost everything I wanted eccept a balaclava. The 40% discount was an added bonus.

Excellent Customer Service & Really Good Discount PricesCompared to many of the other outdoor gear retailers in the Perth CBD - our experience with Macpac has always been awesome! Staff are VERY helpful and not too pushy or in-your-face either, giving us plenty of time to try on stuff and look throughout the store at our leisure. All our questions were answered well and with professional expertise and local knowledge, which was amazing to hear! Items on sale (or clearance) were all at excellent prices. Awful customer service... one of the guys (blue eyes, tattoos and piercings) didnt know much about the products but tried to say whatever just to say something. When I told him something that I knew about water filters, he got upset and started being so rude and impolite. When I bought the product he just looked at me with angry face and didnt say thanks or bye
