I personally dont recommend to chain the elephants because these majestic animals has to left in forest there own home but here elephants are made to stand like a toy but in fact I also respect the tradition where elephants are treated equally to the God so it is all about the elephants trainer to look after the elephants good and gentle.

A great place to visit in guruvayoor. At first, when I checked this place in maps, I was wondering why there isnt much pictures of the place. But came to know that camera and mobiles are prohibited here. There are around 82 elephants here. (I personally saw close 25 elephants)

Our family had a very bad experience from the security guard at the front gate. After our visit we took a family photo outside the anathavalam premise and the security person was very rude to our family which includes senior citizens and small kids. We didnt even took a single picture inside the premise and we showed our phone gallery. This man truly spoiled all our happiness. The authorities please make sure to recruit well behaved people.

Can see and enjoy a lot of elephants. But the peoples inside, especially middle aged group looks the ladies very badly.

Nice to see so many elephants in one place.

Really nice place to visit. Location is just 6km away from guruvayoor. Almost 30 elephant are there. Videography and photography is strictly prohibited so we cant capture the fun moments. Place is an old palace.visiting time is from 9am to 5pm, tickect is ₹10 for adult.
