The food has great flavour I had the Mexican on a plate beef enchilada plate (takeaway). The quantity was plentiful. Loved the quaint place and it has a great view of the harbour. The staff were friendly. Given this place seemed quite popular it is probably best to book if you are heading there on a Friday or Saturday night.
Walked past this new restaurant in Patterson Lakes and has been busy each time, so dropped in Tuesday evening to find out what the hype was all about.Was greeted by friendly staff member Rabia who is bubbly and full of life. We got a table outside even though it was a little fresh, but great views over the harbour. The waitress seated us and gave us blankets in case we needed them.My wife tried the prawn burrito whist I went for the pulled beef burrito, both were good size servings, with a lot of flavour. We washed them down with a sangria and a couple of Alhambra beers which were great 👍Looking forward to returning and trying some other meals.
Mexican with a view! 🌮Were going to have to taco about the hidden gem on the water, Mia Mexico. These guys opened in 2020 and we were impressed with their food when we had delivery during the 5km restrictions. We finally made it back to dine in, and we were really impressed with the view of the Patto River, but also how friendly and prompt the service was too.The absolute highlight for the kids was enjoying a virgin margarita and the corn chips with dip on arrival. They dont have a separate kids menu here, but there are options such as nachos, quesadillas, and tacos. But if your kids are obsessed with rice, like mine, theyll go crazy for a naked burrito bowl. They might even try the beans too!📷 Naked Burrito - Negra Beans, Rice, Choice of Chicken or Beef, topped with salsa, sour cream, and guacamole.📷 Combo Burrito - Chicken and Pulled Beef Burrito with jalapenos, tomato, onion, and cheese, topped with sour cream and salsa.📷 Pulled Beef Chimichanga - Large Flour Tortilla with choice of filling, cheese, tomato, onion, and jalapenos, deep-fried and topped with salsa, sour cream, and guacamole.Staff were lovely and food was delicious! Absolutely love coming here. Service is great, and the girls are all very welcome and accomodating. Meals are delicious. Drinks are also awesome! The restaurant itself is tiny, but the decor is cool and the view of the river/marina is cool too. Awesome way to spend a summer night.
Mia Mexico; only a little place but the service is good and prompt and our orders come out in a timely manner. The frozen margaritas are delicious and the food is excellent. They have a small plant based/vegan selection of mains which didn’t let us down. Tonight was our first visit (my regular Mexican restaurant was booked out) and we loved it, will definitely be back to work my way through the menu 👌🏼(Sorry about the poor photo haha)
Very average. Uninspired, expensive, and missing key flavors (like lime and coriander). Got a variety to try, including nachos, tacos, burrito, enchilada and quesadilla. The chicken taco was great (interesting, moist, spicy) but the rest was a let down - beef burrito was just that, beef in a burrito wrap. While the beef was good, I would have expected some different items in the burrito (Iike rice, beans, lime, Coriander etc). The rest was the same - meat, wrapped, cooked some way. Wont be back.
Brilliant food and great service! We went to Mia Mexico for my birthday. The food was great and came out fast. Also, the manager made my family feel welcome and really made my birthday a special one. Thanks guys!

Dont be fooled by the very unassuming and underwhelming interior design of this restaurant. After hearing great things about the food and cocktails, I questioned whether I was at the right restaurant after walking in. However, the food is delicious, tasty and well priced and is the best Mexican in the area by far. Will absolutely be returning!
Mia Mexico is a hidden gem. Despite been hidden been placed on the water at Patterson Lakes is lovely. The food is excellent and fresh. The staff are very friendly. Toilets on site and heaps of parking to. On a hot summers night this is the place to be.

Noisy, cramped, massively overpriced. The Mexican rice is just plain white rice. Vegan chimichanga Large tortilla with negra beans, mushrooms, jalapeño; deep fried, topped with guacamole, pineapple, roja & verde salsa - sounded great.. It was unseasoned black beans, I found 2 pieces of mushroom in the whole thing. Pineapple was inside, not on top, again, only 2 pieces. Dont bother. Taco bill is more authentic than this place.- Edit to address the reply - I was at a table with multiple people, my meal didnt come with rice, but others did. Im also not sure how much stuff you need to import to make $21 nachos. Im aware its supposed to be tex mex, Im just saying its not very good.

Cannot recommend this place enough! They always have such great food and the customer service is fantastic. Nothing is to much trouble and they always go above and beyond. My family and i cannot wait to go there after lockdown is finished! We now have a Friday night mexican take away tradition while in lockdown. So happy to have a great local restaurant still running in these tough times. 5 stars all round!
This is new; and popular. Its good service and food is to a very good standard. Very noisy and the only reason Id hesitate to make it regular.
Ordered through Menulog. Spent around $45. Was served maybe 8 nacho chips. Small portions and food was burnt. Mexican food is generally overpriced in Australia, but this was by far the poorest price to food ratio Ive ever seen. Would not recommend.
A beautiful night out. Fully booked but we were able to get a table for two by the river on the marina. Amazing homemade style food with great cocktails and lovely service. Would highly recommend!

Our family loves this restaurant!!!!!We have had dine-in and take away too many times now to count and have never had anything to complain about. Our favourites are Chimichangas and Tacos. Our young children love the Paella as its not spicy and the meat is always tender. The food is very tasty and the customer service is outstanding. Always order direct if you are having food delivered - hotter and faster.

What a great place!! Terrific staff and great food. They remembered us from 2 weeks ago and called us by name. Food much better than the other Mexican in our area. We will be back - again!! The only trouble is that we ALL ate too much, but we couldnt help ourselves. Yummy.

Ordered delivery cos who can be bothered cooking when its 37°!Absolutely delicious! Shared a chicken paella and a pulled beef quesadilla which were both excellent, particularly considering the time for delivery to arrive after leaving the restaurant.Looking forward to eating in to really experience it all.

We ordered tonight through uber eats and being prime time on a Saturday night there was a delay with our meal but this was more than made up for with beautiful food and generous portion sizes. They left a nice little note in our order apologising and they even added in two drinks on the house which were greatly appreciated. They also offer free delivery on orders (min $30) within a 5km radius.Thank you again Mia Mexico team, we are already looking forward to our next order and will be in the restaurant in person as soon as possible after lockdown.

Best Mexican restaurant I have been to in Melbourne, and weve been to a lot of Mexican restaurantsreally cant find anything to fault with them. service is great, food quality is great, portion sizes are perfect. we managed to eat in 2-3 times before the stage 4 restrictions came into affect. since the restrictions I think weve ordered takeaway almost every Saturday. havent had any issues with their deliveries. always ordered direct, never used uber eats, and never will. delivery time is what we expect when delivering to Skye. orders have always been perfectI highly recommend the beef chimichangas. The paella tastes amazing too

Wow. Tried MM for the first time 18/9/20 and very impressed. We loved the food, fajitas fantastic. The reason for the review, is the attitude of the business; nice, hardworking lass front of house was busy but attentive and courteous and we received a free margarita, desert mousse and a couple of lollie snakes just a token gift. IMPRESSED! We found our new fav Mexican joint.

Ordered takeaway chimichangas each and they were delicious. They were delivered in a reasonable time and price was reasonable. Well presented with salsa, guacamole and sour cream. If it tasted that good after delivery, we can’t wait to eat in and try straight from the oven. Couldn’t finish all of mine and it made a tasty lunch today today !

My family order from Mia Mexico each week, the food is fresh and delicious. The first time we found due to ordering via uber eats the cheese got a bit hard for the nachos. So I asked them to please not melt the cheese and that works a treat. We cannot wait till lockdown restrictions are eased so we can dine in. The food is so fresh and tasty, portion sizes are very generous. Thank you so much 😊

Ordered through Uber Eats and The food arrived cold. Had a notification advising the restaurant had requested more time. Could see the driver was waiting at the restaurant for 20+ minutes - then updated saying driver will be doing a drop off on way to my place. When the food arrived there were two times written on the bag.. food ready 7:05 food taken 7:35.... The order was sitting for over 30 minutes waiting to be collected and had arrived stone cold and inedible.Even if we could have been eaten the meals, the potion sizes do NOT reflect the prices paid. Wish I had of read other reviews. Seeing their response to unhappy customers has confirmed this is not a one off unlucky instance.

We ordered a couple of burritos and were told the wait time would be 40 min, it was worth the wait! We both thoroughly enjoyed them. The food left us both feeling content but healthy. The take away burrito does challenge your expectations though, if you are looking for a parcel yiu can eat in o e hand, think again as this will require a knife and fork to eat!Worth a try!

Very disappointed. Piad to be delivered, happy to pay $5.99 but not if they are making multiple stops on the way. It took 30 mins to cook, but 30 mins to deliver up the road due to multiple drop offs. The food was stone cold by the time it was delivered .The fish tacos were just a fish finger in a uncooked soft taco with lettuce and chopped tomato.the hard shell beef taco had nice flavour but just too cold. Do not recommend

I ordered a food order through Uber Eats, the delivery time of my order was to collect 45 minutes later, when I arrived at the place to pick up the order it was not ready and I had to wait 26 minutes, a complete disorder and poor customer service client.

Great food and drinks. Can’t wait to see how the menu changes with vegan options!My partner had the mixed chimichanga and loved it. I had the bean burrito which was nice, could have been a little more exciting though with the filling (wasn’t any vegan cheese or corn to bulk it up) though we were told the menu is changing so I’m sure it’ll be different in the near future. We also got the potato nachos made vegan which were great!All in all this was a good experience and will continue to be regulars here and can not wait to see how the business progresses :)Please ignore the reviewers about delivery. If you order through a third party company (Uber/menulog) then expect cold food because all you’re going to get is flavour. I also work in hospo and it has nothing to do with the business how late the drivers are.
No idea, however, when I was at Ariake Japanese I did look out the window and notice them. Maybe I will try it one day.
