Every age group people comes there for running and walking and there are 4 basketball courts also.......the coaches of every sport are there and they all are very friendly.So, many players plays international match’s and you could be one of them .So if you wanna to be an athelete or any other sportsman like volleyball, basketball, football, badminton, gymnastics etc polo ground is the best place for you

One of the oldest sports ground in the city. Has many sports facilities and Indoor stadium also. Its a huge ground having 400m track also. Good for morning and evening walks also.

Awesome place for sports, almost every outdoor sports is there. People of different age groups came here, some come for Jogging, some come for refreshment, some come for playing and some also for their sports career. Its very calm place. And a lot of sports function and events also happen here.

Although Patiala has this play ground where kids can learn different sports but you wont find any coach on Saturday... I believe the coach with Govt. Job thinking can never produce great player. I visited on Saturday and most of the players seems passing time.

Polo ground is my life Line where my childhood to youth and till date closely related my hobby cricket was born in this ground and our club Youngs Cricket Club was a leading club of Patiala.We played uncountable matches here.From here only when I was playing for MODI college B team our college A team captain came to select some players I bowled him twice in the over with my pace and swing.I was selected for the main team 1973-76 our captain was Hookie and later Maheshinder Singh f/o Reetinder Sodhi.This game has given leadership qualities,how to perform under huge pressures,how to be rock solid under any adverse circumstances.I love pologround i have been to this ground daily since 1965 till date.I SALUTE POLOGROUND GIVEN SO MUCH IN LIFE AS A PLAYER AND HEALTHY HUMAN BEING.

It is the best space within the heart of princely city Patiala. For non athletes, it offers an excellent walking track around 450 Meters long. For sports persons, there is a football ground, two hockey fields, archery, 4 basket ball courts, 3 volley ball courts, three hand ball courts, boxing ring and an indoor stadium with all indoor sports like badminton etc. Coaching in most sports is almost free with nominal charges for consumable. I feel sorry as to why I did not come to Patiala when my children were young. This indeed is a happening place with no cost.Morning walkers association invites doctors once or twice a month for interactive sessions. Several tournaments are organised here with free entry. Even an annual dog show also organised.
