Hello,I was diagnosed with a short stricture at peno-bulbar junction at Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, Delhi. The doctor there suggested me to undergo Urethroplasty and a 5-day stay at the hospital, with an estimate of Rs. 2,30,000.I was not willing to spend this amount of money and also I wasnt satisfied with the urethroplasty being my only option.I searched for the best urologists in Punjab and found Dr. Ankur Bansal.I met Dr. Ankur Bansal for his opinion. After going through all my reports, he firmly told me that at my age(23), the side effects of urethroplasty would soon outweigh the benefits of it.He told me that D.V.I.U with laser would be my best bet for my condition, as the stricture was a short one (5mm). The expected cost of treatment was less than 50,000.The way Dr. Bansal explained everything in detail and solved all our queries and doubts, it was beyond imagination. It was the friendliest experience Ive ever had with a doctor, it almost didnt feel like there was any doctor- patient formality.I underwent the procedure on 18.12.2020, it lasted for around 30 minutes, and I was discharged the next morning with a catheter in place attached to a urobag.There was no complications or any blood clotting. Reasons-1) He suggested a few blood tests again which was done just a day before (When I said i had done just a day back , he said still do it- Reasons the test needs to be done from his center- Money priniting sidebusiness)2) I showed him the medications im taking currently, stil he prescribes one same medicine-3) The home run pharmacy- Medicines are offered from his chamber itself with no bills (Again running a business)I dont recommend himTo your responseHelloThe reason of getting few test repeat is sometimes test may not corelates with ur problem. We have repeat to make diagnosis.U have ur own choice to get it repeat. No body can force u. We usually repeat test if they are not from authenticated lab ( signed by pathologist).- Sir, have you noticed the one day previous report was not signed by pathologist. Also there was not even deviation of 5% in any parameters of the two reports..2. Even i have given one medicine same which was prescribed u earlier, it means u need that medicine. Whats the big deal.? The big deal is about double doses of antibiotics of same salt consumed twice a day. The point is before prescribing medicines we should at least bear the current medications.U can continue that medicine after completing ur one.-Your prescribed medicines was supposed to be consumed parallelly, sir you didnt suggested to continue once the earlier treatment is done3. Medicines are given to u from doctor chamber - medicines are kept under doctor supervision to precentcmisuse. u can take bill anytime. If u had asked for bill, we will give u. Medicines which we have kept are harly in a range of 100-200. What is money minded business in this ? Pharmacies exists for that, moreover prescribing the medicines only which you have in your chamber is the business.4. At last. Plz compare our hosopital charges of doctor fees/ medicines/ investigation charges with other hospital like columbia asia or amar etc. then u will realise.We charge only 200 for opd fees. And try to treat parient with medicines that usualyy cost less than 500- Sir its not about comparing with other hospitals, i have listed some specific points. And why just compare Columbia Asias or Amars of Patiala, compare with Rajindra then you will realise how costly your anicilary services are. 200 OPD charges which is minimal agreed, but the tests of RS 2,350 are by no means cheaper compared to established labs.Our indian population can spend money anyywhere, but when it comes to health - we usually think it is wastage and doctor are overcharging. Thats why mostly dr dont want to stay india because of this mind setup.- Sir im reviewing about specific points and dont want to deviate or generalise. I have reviewed my experience with your treatment. And just because you have pointed, i did not say about overcharging, I said business model is being run.on one hand you are saying you can complete your medicine and then start mine at point no 2 and below you are saying you asked me to stop. Sir atleast say what was the truth.

I visited Dr Ankur in May 2020, with problem of epididymus. He was able to diagnose it and cure it but was not clear as to why the epididymus had happened in the first place. I kept telling him that it was prostatitis that i was earlier diagnosed for by a reputed doctor from Delhi. I visited Dr Ankur on numerous occasions with the symptoms, my visits were in July, October and November 2020. But he kept ruling that out, stating it is not possible at my age. Though that prostatitis lingered on from May 2020 and eventually resulted into chronic prostatitis which led to serious implications and i am having troubles with it till date. Finally in Feb 2021 i went back to my Doctor in Delhi where it was diagnosed that the delay had led to chronic Prostatitis post which i have gone through strong doses of intravenous antibiotics but the lack of diagnose from Dr Ankur in the beginning has resulted in a situation of great difficulty for me till today. I am not questioning or judging Dr Ankurs credibility he is an excellent doctor as can be seen from other reviews. But sharing my personal experience was not at par and has resulted in serious medical implications.
