It used to be quite a special occasion to have ippudo ramen in central embassy. Not anymore as the new location and decor changed to be quite normal and for the ramen itself- the soup is not so hot and the noodle choices of soft to hard aren’t anymore available. There are also no garlic and chilli oil on table for us to play with, like we used to...Price is not cheap but is now become the standard to spend more than 10USD for a bowl of normal ramen.
Food was ok but unfortunately we found that staff must be equipped with more training. Waitress took wrong order but the way they rectified the situation need to be improved. In the end the bill still wasnt correct. I expect more professional service from Ippudo. Honestly most of street noodle staff put more focus to their work than staff here.
Very good ramen. The broth is so rich and tasty. You can even ask for the original or the light (less fat) broth. You can also customize your ramen and choose how your noodles will be cooked: soft, medium or hard (I guess its more like al dente for pasta). Appetizers are good although the portion is quite small. Staff are nice and give advice confidently.
Great Japanese ramen chain. Their classic ramens are flavorful. They often feature a special ramen of the month to mix up their menu. When ordering, note that most menu pictures feature the “special” version of the ramen meaning with several toppings added. If you just order the base ramen, it will be much plainer unless adding toppings.
I had a wonderful meal here. The Ramen was delicious. The service was great. And the price was right.
Akamaru Shinaji uses tonkotsu soup added garlic oil and miso to make the soup more dense and tasty. I also like seasonal Ramen; Clam Chowder ramen, this bowl is fusion Ramen. Its the combination of East meet west. Put carbonara sauce and parmesan cheese into the pork bone soup (tonkotsu soup). Strawberry cheese cake Kakigori was real nice to end this meal. Very delicious Kakigori.
The ramen itself was not bad comparing other Ippudos in Tokyo, Newyork, and Seoul that I had visited. And the price was a little bit expensive than other Thai foods. Looking for other kinds of dishes rather than Thai foods in Bangkok, I happened to find this place. It was located near my hotel. But I loooove donkotsu ramen in colder places!
JAPAN Ramen - noodle, quick service and standard food
Not bad place for noodle lovers. So far many people like it. Prices are fine. How much you pay is how much you get. They have many branches mainly in all shopping malls. You can see many people like there menu. Affordable for quick lunch during office hours.
Ippudo at Central Embassy used to be a five star restaurant two years ago, but let me tell you how they have deteriorated.... 1. They have changed their source of pork. The new pork that they use is thinner, less chewy and less natural tasting. Subtle but noticeable difference. 2. There are cockroaches at the long table next to the kitchen on the far side of the restaurant. Twice I sat there. Twice I saw cockroaches. 3. Service is very uneven. Aside from yelling their traditional greeting - which I find more obnoxious now that Ive been there a few times - some staff are just dont know how to serve people. Like taking someone off the street and telling them to serve. Overall, it is sad to see what I considered an excellent restaurant go down hill. Its as if the people who run this restaurant simply do not care about the customer experience. If others feel the way I do, Ippudo will lose loyal customers...
High quality ramen just as other branches. You can select different levels of noodle texture (hard, soft, normal). They also offer seasonal menus.
Highly recommended. Excellent popular Japanese ramen franchise. Frequently changing menus. Appetizers served in chilled small tapas plates in a wooden box which makes it hard to get out of the box. Salmon roll melted in your mouth. Squid tempura was good when hot. Noodles are to die for. The broth is so rich creamy and great tasting. Black sesame ice cream was not watered down. Service while good had to keep asking me about my order and changing some items that were not available.
More expensive than other branch. Taste is soso. And be caureful when you check, they give me wrong change.
Ramen above average standard, also dont miss garlic sushi!
Really enjoyed the ramen here. Everything was very fresh, delicious and delivered with a smile. Excellent, will for sure be back.
Ippudo is one of the best Ramen brands you can find in Bangkok. There are also my side dishes to choose from. The price is quite reasonable, comparing with other restaurants inside the Central Embassy. Last but not least, the staff here is always helpful and cheerful.
Its not bad but not great either. Average for the price you pay. Service is sadly lacking though, they dont check for noodle hardness, not very attentive and they kept confusing me for the table next to me despite it not being busy. Green tea also tasted like water
Great ramen, a brand you can trust as its a chain. Staff are friendly and prices are great.
The best ramen Ive ever had! Staff are friendly and very professional and great value for money!
The shiromaru tasted close to the Japanese original, but a bit too salty because the reduction of the amount of noodle in Thailand. The portion is far less than what served in Japan while the price is higher. The taste was just ok, the value is bad. Feel betrayed, next bowls shall be from others for a while.
Great Japanese noodle place to enjoy in town
Just so so. Service is good as always franchise or branch from Japan is good ! But noodle is just ok. Pork bum is good.
When are these restaurants going to get inline with the environmental issues. This place does not serve filtered drinking water and only serves single serving PLASTIC Bottles and straws. So you are not able to ask for a glass of water. The ramen is good but I will now think twice about going back.
We had amazing ramen here. I chose their Signature ramen dish which cost around 300 baht. It was the best ramen that Ive had. Now Im back in India, drooling over the memories!
Great Hakata ramen. Upmarket price. Good service.
Good ramen, as you can expect it to be from a franchise. Tsukemen is really excellent. If you come at lunch time expect to wait for a long time to be served.
It was like we were in Tokyo again! We ordered one classic Shiromaru motoaji special, one Ippudo gyokai-tonkotsu special, one Hakata-tori shiromaru tamago (chicken broth and less thick and creamy) and one Ippudo hakata gyoza. All of them tasted excellent. If you crave for Japanese ramen go find Ippudo on the 3rd floor of the Central Embassy Mall and you will not regret it.
Very decent ramen. Service is good. One of the busier restaurants in Central embassy.
My most favourite ramen so far, noodle is good, soup is great.
The ramen is yummy. Noodles are chewy and done just right.
Gotta love the ramen. The noodle and soups are amazing. I like to eat here every time Im back to work in BKK.
Overpriced. Expected much higher quality from what appears to be a high end ramen shop chain. Quality of the food was subpar. Will most likely not return.
I was completely forgotten by the waiter, I felt very bad, I waited for a long time to deliver the meal, but the ramen was not bad, I think need to pay more attention to the customer, sincere advice
After 30 mins waiting still cannot get my food... in the end they didnt pass the order to kitchen...
Fantastic food and service.
Various choice of ramen noodles. (hard, normal, smooth noodles).Vat, Service charges are not included in the menu price.
Food wasnt as great as we had expected based on our experience in Singapore
Very good service and food. Price too
Quite nice ramen. A little pricy but worth the price.
Nice and flavorful ramen that the noodle tenderness can be adjusted to your liking. Pork bun is another must try menu.
3rd floor of Central Embassy. Amazing ramen, brilliant service and quiet atmosphere. Lunch special for 360 thb.
Food and atmosphere is amazing. Do yourself a favor and eat here one time for your mind.
Price is very high and the taste is quite salty. The staff is friendly but often missed the order. I think I will not go back
Unforgettable taste but the price is relatively high.
Tasty ramen.Good service.
Love their black a spicy ramen with fresh garlic
Food is consistently slow here.
Friendly staff. Good for family with kids.
Ramen and side dishes are very delicious but we have to wait our meals around 30 mins (too long for lunchtime!!!)
Mediocre.
Good ramen
Service was not good. The soup was bland.
Loved the ramen excellent price!!
