They literally make the BEST pancakes ever!!! I got their cinnaroll pancakes and it wasn’t too sweet, it was just the right amount of sweetness you would want and it tasted so good (try it). Their prices are great for what you get. Their pancakes are between $10.95 - $13.95 and it comes with your choice of bacon, turkey bacon, ham, hash browns, or sausage. The staff is really friendly and the place is super clean. I highly recommend going here for breakfast, lunch, or brunch; trust me you won’t be disappointed.Hours: 7:30AM - 3:30PM
I visited Buttermilks Kitchen for the first time today. Huge shout out to our waitress Justine. She was super friendly and a pleasure to interact with. The food looked and tasted amazing. They had their own style of coffee mugs and cute little containers for milk and tea on the table. Justine recommended the award-winning French toast as seen in one of my pictures. We also had the grilled chicken Roma and the tuna salad sandwich on whole-grain bread. Great atmosphere and all social distancing protocols were in put in to place. We felt very safe and We will definitely be back!!
I went with my niece Gabriella & enjoy my meal of Chicken & waffles. My niece had an omelette with potatoes. Restaurant was busy yet, clean. Customer service was awesome from Hostess, server to cashier. We arrived at 12:15pm., waited 15 minutes & took us to a clean table with chairs. Food was delish! You gotta go there! Big picture on wall of Cows, pigs & chickens with masks on faces!
Todays experience at Buttermilk Kitchen was quite pleasant. Upon arrival, we noticed it was pretty busy. However, the wait for a 2 person party was non existent, for parties larger than 2, it looked like there was a short wait.Upon being seated, the wait staff were very nice. Once receiving a menu, I decided to go for the apple pie pancakes, and for a Drink I ordered a Passion fruit, orange, guava juice drink. The drink was quite good, it shame it didnt come in a larger size. Finally the pancakes, they were also quite good. The apples were cooked so they were warm, yet still crispy, and personally I like it that way. Overall very yummy. Would recommend.
I found Buttermilks while researching my trip out to Long island. I sat at the counter and was waited on by a nice young woman whom I neglected to get her name.I ordered the eggs in a hole, a dish I have been making for forty years. It came with hash browns and sausage. The meal was excellent! The hash browns were cooked to my liking, crisp all the way around, the sausage were the best restaurant style I have had. The main course did not disappoint. The bread held up well, sliced thick enough to endure the egg, but not overbearing. The eggs were also cooked to perfection with just enough run to satisfy. You need to make this a stop on your journey, it is well worth it.
This was my first time coming to this place. I came here with my boyfriend and our friends. We loved it. The service is great and the food is delicious. They are also very clean and organized. All the staff & customers were wearing theyre mask. I will definitely come back again even though they are a little far away from me but thats ok. Its definitely worth the drive 🚗👌🙌😌
We love this place so much & have been going since they opened. The food and atmosphere are great. The staff is so friendly and attentive. We take my daughter for pancakes quite often here- yesterday was very busy, the wait was a little longer than usual. The chef came out to chat with us and explain the wait which was so nice of her. It’s little things like this that make the experience a great one. She even let us try their maple butter which was amazing! Another big thing for me is that they have an extensive gluten free menu. I love that my whole family can eat delicious food and there’s always an option for me as well. Plus- if you love great coffee, this is the spot for you. Thanks so much! Looking forward to more yummy meals.
This place is too busy & too crowded. They forgot about me, my sister, & my 2 yr old son for well over 45 mins. The waitress never even came over to check up on us. Finally my sister asked what was taking so long and they said something about being short staffed when we were clearly forgotten about. They wouldn’t even comp our bill after such poor service. Never going back. Also, why order a grill cheese when it’s not even melted?
Quaint setting. Upscale from a diner decor. Attentive staff. Efficiently run. Good food. Average price range. Ordered breakfast. Fresh squeezed orange juice. Pricey, but worth it. Went on Mothers Day. Crowded. Staff said it would be a 1:30 minute wait time. Would text cell phone when ready to seat our party. Benches were conveniently located outside in front of restaurant. Thirty minutes later received text that our table was ready. What a pleasant surprise.Open for breakfast and lunch.Absolutely will be returning.This place is a good find.Definitely recommend it!
Buttermilks Kitchen is the perfect spot for breakfast! My wife and I go here every Monday morning now. Every time, I get something different. Today I got the Egg in a Hole breakfast. Two eggs, any style, neatly tucked into perfectly toasted sourdough bread that just melts in your mouth. Served with hash browns and a choice of meat. The place is clean and quiet. The servers are some of the best around. When my coffee was low, they filled it. When we were done, we got the bill quickly and were on our way. I Highly Recommend Buttermilks!

My fiance and I had ordered lunch, which I wouldnt if I came again. I got the chicken wrap and he got the reuben. He had a lot of sauerkraut compared to meat. My wrap tasted strange and wasnt anything special. The fries were really good. We also ordered the French toast to try which was sweet but yummy. The French toast comes with a side of meat which we were never given. I didnt remember until we got the check and were charged for it. The waitress informed us we have to pay and take the bacon either way and then gave us two cold pathetic slices in a to go container. Cute place, a bit pricey, tasty breakfast, mediocre lunch.
This place never disappoints. Consistency is the key and the food is just fantastic. The staff are amazing and knowledgeable about the dishes which is refreshing as the menu is vast. I cannot state how much I appreciate this place

Outdoor breakfasts have always been enjoyable in the Summer. Now, more then ever! When in Patchogue, so many choices, why not give Buttermilk’s a try?! The 4th star is for the biggest cup of coffee in memory! (And hot too!) Well spaced, indoor available if you like, and like most wait staff with the “extra steps” to the customers, they are still pretty quick and helpful. A nice meal variety (real maple syrup available too) and enjoyable! Give it a try!!
Service was friendly and attentive. Hostess was sweet & went out of her way to get crayons to keep my 2 yr old occupied. The menu is great. The only complaint was the food took a while which I wouldnt have minded but we had a 2 1/2 yr old and a 4 month old. All in all, its a great spot!
First I’ve been here many times never had a problem until today. I waited longer for my food then waiting to be seated. The waiter who came over after about 15 minutes took our drink order and food order. While we waited for drinks I noticed people who came after us receive there drinks and some even got there food. After approximately another 10 minutes I ask to speak to a manger which took another 15 minutes to come to the table. After explaining her all she said we are very busy and walked away and said I will put a rush on your order. Well it took another 15 minutes for us to get our food. I was very disappointed in the service I received today. I figure I would get maybe a little discount on the bill but got nothing in return. Not sure if I will be returning to this establishment in the future. Poor service is the main reason and treatment I received from the manager.
Restaurant was bright and inviting. Bathrooms were clean, which is a big plus when you have a toddler with you. Our server was very efficient and friendly. Oh, and the food was great! Cant wait to go back!
This might be my favorite spot for breakfast. Ive been here several times and Ive never been disappointed. Pancakes, French toast, Iron Man breakfast burrito, Bananas Foster French toast. Theyve all been delicious. The coffee is great and the customer service was excellent.
Nice little breakfast spot in the heart of downtown. Place was packed and there was a wait on a late Saturday morning. We didnt wait too long, and after we were taken to our table, our waiter greeted us promptly. Prices are a bit steep but there are alot of choices. Loved the POG juice (passion fruit, orange and guava). The atmosphere is unique and the staff is pleasant.
Been here 2x and the food is outstanding. Eggs cooked to perfection both times, buttermilk biscuits are fresh, bacon good but could be bigger portion and hash browns are crispy on top mushy in the middle, just how I like them. They offer fresh squeezed oj or Tropicana which is nice. My wife, daughter and myself bill was $54. My 2nd time there did take 50 minutes for breakfast to come out and only 3 of us but it was a Saturday with large groups eating. Ambiance is great too. Hands down my fav breakfast spot in patchogue village.
Fancy breakfast food in a dinner type setting. food was fine, service good, guess I am more of a breakfast special guy from the Bistro in New Paltz so I found this a little pricey for 2 eggs.
I was pretty happy with everything. Nice to get the coffee as soon as you get a table. But the food was good and service pretty quick. If I have one complaint. My rye toast came out after I was done with my food. Due to they were still baking it. But all in all it was a good experience and I would go back again.
This place is amazing with great food. The atmosphere is over the top friendly and awesome for families. I cant wait to go back and try something else on the menu.

Buttermilks Kitchen is a delightful place to enjoy a delicious meal. The coffee is a nice smooth medium blend and the juice is fresh and tasty. My French toast was a little soggy but still had yummy cinnamon and vanilla flavor. The service is friendly and efficient. I highly recommend giving this place a try.

This came recommended by Google Maps based on places Ive been to and this place delivered. Got the Smores French Toast, bacon, hash browns. My gawd. Wife got the Cinnamon Pancakes and those too were very good. Will definitely be coming back in the future. Im already recommending this place to friends and family.
The service and food was excellent. The place is really nice. But, they sat us in the last booth which was in the back, where the bathrooms are and the kitchen area. It was very noisy and busy.
I have been here a couple of times before and always had a good experience so we came out to buttermilks kitchen for my birthday breakfast with the family. Absolutely the worst service I have experienced in years. We were First brought to a table then told im sorry its gonna be a 15 minute wait so we decided to go for a walk. They took my phone # 7 minutes later i got a call our table was ready. We come in and get sat. Drinks and order taken right away. We the. Sat for the better part of an hour with our 2 year old with nothing to color, snack on, anything and no word from anyone our server finally came and saif your food will be out shortly. 20 minutes later as were ready to just leave it finally arrives with my pancakes not cooked. I ask for the manager. As we are waiting for the manager it becomes painfully obvious to me, as im a restaurant manager myself, that my wife and daughters food had been sitting in the window for what i would guess was at least 20 minutes while my order was either lost or forgotten and they just rushed my order. The manager then comes out of the kitchen saying new cakes are working for me i said no thanks just take them off the check. Explained the whole situation. That it was my birthday. She said are you sure you dont want the cakes? I can just make them plain. Then was irritated that I just didnt want them. All they did was remove my pancakes that were uncooked from the check. I understand were all short staffed and wait times are to be expected and mistakes happen.. But there was no communication with my table and when the mark is missed that badly i would expect better treatment from the manager. Im not asking for anything but that is just awful customer service. We Will never be back

Theyre always great. Food, service atmosphere. Its menu has lots of choices and the Mimosa menu was great too! We have made this out go to breakfast place, even if you have to sometimes wait for a table, its worth it. The chef came out to talk to us and all the other patrons and was very appreciative of our support for the restaurant.
The staff is awesome! Very attentive very friendly. The building itself is beautiful its got a very good vibe and the options in the menu seemed to be amazing. We both ordered specialty kappa chinos and they were fabulous but we chose the wrong item on the menu cause it was horrible definitely dont get the sweet potato waffles. Wer will be back to try again lol

We went to breakfast today. After waiting 45 minutes for our food 3 of the 5 dishes came out wrong. After sending them back they came back wrong again. After the third time sending back two of them they came back drenched in butter. The third dish was missing the drizzle which we had to ask the waitress twice to bring. After paying I tried to speak to the manager a who was rude and felt that sometimes you have to send meals back and that really isn’t an issue. She spoke in a loud condescending manner after I tried to explain to her all the events that led me to be disappointed with my meal. Upon my exit she continues to yell at me to have a nice day. Truly disappointed and will never return.
Good food and good service. Wait times can be long (1 hour+) so I suggest getting there early especially on weekends
Very friendly atmosphere. My family was able to graba seat without any wait which was told to me wasnt going to happen. Waiter provided many options for me during the vegan lifestyle. I will be returning to tryout other food options.

The food here is amazing! Everything I have tried so far has been super good! The only problem I had was with our waitress Stephanie. She was just super unfriendly and very unattentive. The woman who brought us our food and the bar tender were much nicer. It seemed like everyone was except for her, which was unfortunate.

Buttermilks is great for families with gluten free members since most of their menu can be made gluten-free. The food is good, lots of sugary breakfast menu items so its good for those with a sweet tooth. I really enjoy their lattes!
Terrible service. They messed our order after waiting 45 minutes and had to be sent back three times. Than we spoke to the manager and she had an attitude and was disrespectful!

Pancakes are awesome! I get them with bananas and walnuts, they never disappoint! Had their lunch for the first time and it was amazing! By far the best tasting chicken sandwich I have ever had! This place was a total let down everything was bland and either covered in dressing or too much sugar. Waitress was very rude as if she wanted us to finish and leave without any consideration for the toddler that was with us. Horrible experience even if it was a busy weekend its no excuse for their behavior

The food is amazing, and the servers are great. I would have gave 5 stars but the hostess was pretty nasty checking in and again going to my seat. Its a bad start and put us in a bad mood... until the food came out and we instantly forgot about her. The not your momma hash is a must try btw

Our go-to breakfast spot. The traitor and hash are favorites! Our little one loves the smores french toast. Also the chicken and waffles are unique and shouldnt be missed! Glad to see they made it through the shutdown.
