Great food, a little pricey for Indian, but worth it for the ambience and service. The food is very good. Great mix of vegetarian and meaty dishes. Great Naan too.
Food was very tasty. Especially the appetizer which we ordered is our all time favorite (Crispy Vegetables in Hot Sauce) ..super yummy 😋🤤My family loves this dish.👌🏻Spice level - Between Medium to HotQuickly picked up on our way back home.
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE. Had delivery. I found a short black curly hair on the top of my basmati rice and called right away. Told two people about it and not a single apology. They simply offered a new rice that I can come pick up myself. Shame. Really wanted to like this place. It almost seemed like it was “my fault”
Great food but felt very rushed during last visit. Was in and out in less than hour with 100.00 spent. Maybe Covid related —also woman at nearby table was so loud we heard everything from news her friend was expecting!!!!to how much she loved Portland. Not a great experience overall. Normally it’s a great dinner experience just not last night.
I was in a rush to get some food for lunch and picked this place. $28 for chicken tikka masala. First, that was my mistake, I didnt ask for the price of a common dish average pricing at around $15 and of course they didnt tell me the price. I was also told the prices online needed to be updated so I couldnt get a real cost anyway. When I went to pay I only saw it at the end of my bill. I shrugged it off and figured it was going to be some amazing food for the price I paid or at least come with sides(but no sides). When I tried the chicken it was tough and overcooked, the sauce was decent but nothing special. The naan was average but I got the garlic naan which had no garlic flavor. Honestly I feel I should have just waited to go somewhere else. I wont be going back, not because the food tasted bad, but because the food was not worth the price.Dont be price gouged by them make sure you get the cost upfront if you still plan on going.
This was my second time having Indian food. They give you options to select your spicy level which is great bc I don’t eat spicy. I had two chicken dishes and they were both great. The chicken was so tender. The vegetable Samosas and three cheese Naan was delicious. Will definitely go back and recommend.
Mint Leaf is one of the more lavish Indian restaurants serving the San Gabriel Valley. Beautifully decorated with ornate furniture, wallpaper and finishings, the restaurant failed to match its flavour with their decor. The appetizer, Achari Mushrooms utilized a small sauce dish with approximately eight white mushrooms. Not exotic mushrooms but plain fried white mushrooms for $9.00!!! The flavour was rather bland and definitely required the two accompanying sauces. The Punjabi Chicken Curry is probably the worst dish of the evening lacking seasoning both in the sauce and the chicken. The Seafood Platter comprised of a tandoori mixture of catfish, salmon, shrimp and scallops...all grilled and flavoured to near perfection. The Malai Kofta is a Veggie Cheese Meatball in Yellow Gravy. However, their version consists of a mild onion tomato sauce finished with a touch of cashew. The version served to us was more of a butternut squash soup with bland cheese.Service was on point and plenty of free parking in a mini strip mall. Based on the high price and the lack of quality, we probably wont return.
3.5 starsWe were visiting this area and this place was a relatively random pick (guided somewhat by Yelp reviews) but we were glad we stopped by. Because the food was quite good even though it was on the pricier end.We tried the Chicken Biriyani (asked for spiciest version - was reasonably spicy) and kaali mirch tikka (which wasnt spicy at all, but still tasty). The only disappointment was the Chicken Keema Naan, which did not have stuffed keema, but was instead stuffed with chicken tikka, and the chicken was only barely there in them.
Food was pretty good... Only turnoff was the incredibly high price tag. These guys were significantly more expensive than other places in the area with smaller portions. When things reopen, well probably come back though!
My favorite Indian restaurant.
Wow! Wow! Wow! Are you a Punjabi looking for Malai kofta or something like tasty gravy , its finger licking good 😋😋Well not just punjabi, any indian or non indian it’s an amazing food, like you can blindly rely on this place, they always serve delicious food, and on my birthday they gave us complimentary dessert 🍨 as well.I recommend this place 👍🏻
Must try - Paneer Shashlik! They dont often pick calls to place an order for to-go which is annoying at times, otherwise food is great.
Excellent indian food in this area
I like to go with friends to this place with my highest recommendations. I go their often. I get very good feedback from my friends. The dishes they serve are flavorable and the crew is generous and cooperative. always when we go to this place we enjoy a splendid time. I recommend this place with pleasure.
This restaurant is certainly one of the coolest place in the area. Always when I visit this place I am remarkably happy. They preserve their very high standard service and the highest level of cooking they serve. You will be always satisfied with this place. Warmly recommended.
This place has some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had. Pre-Covid we used to go all the time for their lunch specials and even delicious dinner menu. The only reason I’m giving a 3 star rating is because they recently upped their prices a good amount (nearly $4-$5 an item). They are offering 20% off takeout orders and it basically causes it to break even with regular (non-COVID) pricing. I understand businesses are trying to stay open but Mint Leaf does have plenty of customers and I don’t think nailing customers with an additional $4-5 an item when you are only offering an a la carte menu causing it to nearly amount to a ($25-$30 normal price difference if you order two entrees, two rices, and a bread) is the right option. We’re all financially struggling, and I’d love to help them stay open (we already ordered from them 4-5x just in the month of August) but this is a little steep given what everyone is going through. Can’t exactly drop $80 on a takeout dinner for two every day of the week while working from home...🥺Given normal circumstances, a dining-in experience (which in part is part of the price you pay for a meal), and being able to eat inside this beautiful place...I’d happily pay the money. The food is delicious!! Please please make it accessible again!
I adore this restaurant! They give marvelous food, their menu is varied, The cook in that place is a real pro, I love a lot trying all their dishes. The dishes are always good, the attitude towards the clients is agreeable. I often go to this place and I was never disappointed. I highly recommend it.
I really like their food and customer service, excellent area to my house. The workers are always very welcoming. Will come back again.
I frequent this superb place from time to time as I like the good air that is unique to this place. The team is highly loyal and skilfull. The service is very quick. Most important, the food they cook is outstanding. I frequent many times and I was always delighted. The cost is decent. I recommend this place to all my friends.
Elegant ambiance and delicious Indian food! Very accommodating.
Very well organised and convenient restaurant. They serve big portions and for economical prices. I loved the food very much and the staff were very personal and chatty. Highly recommended.
Ive eaten here about 6-7 times over last 3 yrs. If u like Indian food, the dishes r fresh n tasty. U can also order to level of spice. Wait staff very polite.
We just ate there for the first time tonight and our experience turned out to be wonderful at first and shocking as we left. I worked at an Indian restaurant years ago called Chameli, and I was glad to eat good Indian food again. The atmosphere was nice and we were about to leave when the manager or someone came to the table and said we needed to leave because people were waiting for our table. We understood and started to get up... he proceeded to tell us that we ruined his serving schedule or something because my 85 year old father thought more of our family was coming. They seated us for 6 and we had no additional chairs, but he pointed out that his evening was somehow ruined as they expected 8. I couldnt believe he would treat new customers this way. I was so disappointed and I feel sorry for the owners. Great food, nice atmosphere, kind waiter, horrible manager. The table next to us said they were so sad to hear him treat us that way. He shrugged his shoulders.
Most of the food, especially meats are really good and authentic. Some of the experimental (not traditional) items are hit or miss. I wish it was a bit less sweet in general. The staff and service are noteworthy.
I arrive at this marvelous restaurant every couple of days as I enjoy the special atmosphere that is exist in this place. The crew is highly attentive and well trained. The service is remarkablywonderfully fast. Most important, the food they serve is first-rate. I came many times and I was always happy. The cost is reasobable. I recommend this restaurant to to all.
Classy and interesting decor. Fantastic dishes. Attentive and joyful service. Open floorplan, so it can get noisy, but thats part of the fun!
Two days ago was our first time we came to that fine restaurant. But It is surely not the last time. We enjoyed the evening a lot with the good service, with the finest meal and wine and with the decent pay. We will surely visit there in a short time.
I absolutely liked the dishes and service, awesome area to my home. The cashiers are always welcoming. I highly recommend this place.
Excellent food. Perfect ambience and cannot thank the hostess Ms Analise enough for her warm and welcoming service. Prices are higher than other indian restaurants but its worth it
Really tasty authentic foodMake a reservation online! Very busy and small, you will wait a long time. All entrees are Ala carte. Rice/bread separate. Highly recommended.
The menu and service were above my expectations. We really liked the ambience of this spot. Amazing spot to take my family out for lunch.
I accidentally walked in before they were reopened for dinner, but they gave a table and took my order like I was part of the plan. Lovely people, very welcoming. And the food is delicious! The environment is gorgeous and would be perfect for a date night. There are a lot of great vegan options, too! I WILL be back.
They offer a great variety of delicious food. I love eating here. The employees are always nice, rates are convenient and the place is always well organised.
Place is gorgeous! Food had lots of flavor. Recommended!
Cant give this place enough stars!! First and foremost, the food is top-notch. They give you a scale from 1-10 of how spicy you want your food. Since Im a lightweight, I asked for a 2 and that is exactly what I got. I might try a 3 next time! The decor is like the interior of an Indian palace. Beautiful, elegant and inviting. The music was totally hip: Chill music with Indian singers and instruments over a funky modern beat. Not loud, just perfect. As a musician Im super-sensitive to music, i.e., its genre and volume. The service was fast, the wait staff was really friendly and still smiling after a long day. We got there late, but were treated like the first customers of the day. If this place maintains this quality, they will become too busy to get in!
Very good food! I have never liked Indian Food, but decided to give this place a try. It was actually very good. Not too overly spiced. The atmosphere was lovely, cozy, and the staff friendly and helpful.
The meal was good and relatively fresh and it was worth the price. It seems to be the only place to get decent meals in the immediate. Give it a five star.
Don’t know what happened to this place, it has become crazy expensive and food quality has gone down. It used to be my fav place, but not anymore.
By far one of the best Indian restaurants Ive ever been to. The flavors and spices are perfect.
Delicious. Good Ambiance and good service, but sometimes a wait. Id recommend calling in advance to make reservations because they get busy.
Maybe the best tasting Indian food in Pasadena! But service was mediocre. We tried 5 spice level, will do 6 next time.
Lamb vindaloo and tandoori chicken with dark lentils with rice and raita were all superb as were the mango lassis. I have been here several times as well as carried out and I have never been disappointed. Oh yes, do not miss the rice pudding!
This place has hands down amazing vegetarian food. In each bite I could taste amazing blend of spices. The ambience is so good it feels like you are sitting in a room within a palace :) the staff is very courteous just amazing service. Its very far from where I live but I would definitely come here once in a while
All the food here was very, very good. It is a bit pricey. Its odd that you have to pay extra for rice. Really? Rice? Anyway, great service, prompt. The decorations in the restaurant are like something out of a Bollywood film.
Such well made Indian food! You cant go wrong coming here.
Great place! Food and service were A+
The service is exceptionally welcoming! The food is very good. The lunch menu is reasonably priced with everthing included. The dinner menu is individually priced and can be on expensive side. Great place definitely going back.
This spot is excellent! Good prices, big dishes and the staff members are regularly welcoming.
Food was delicious a little on the high side but very delicious. It is southern California after all and rents arent cheap. I enjoyed my dining experience.
Ordered the chicken biryani. It is not at all a chicken biryani. The food is very dry, no masala, also the chicken is cut into small pieces, which is not what a biryani is supposed to be. Chaat was ok, not a fan.
Tasty food. The service was a bit slow, but the waiter was extremely friendly and enjoyable to have. The ambience is very nice as well. Unfortunately, the cost is a bit high to go here for more than the occasional meal.
The food was good, although not exceptional, marred by cold plates, so that the food itself was rapidly cold. We expected a fresh modern decor from the impression that the name of the restaurant and positive reviews of the decor inspired. But, in fact it was the flock wallpaper and heavy velvet drapes in dark colors that reminded of more old fashioned Indian restaurants in the UK. The seating was heavy leather diner style benches in part and dark nondescript table and chairs for the rest. Disappointing. The service was pleasant and reasonably efficient. It was busy, so evidently a popular eating venue.
EXCELLENT Indian food. Some of the best Ive had anywhere. We stumbled in randomly and were shocked when they asked if we had a reservation. Its not because its fancy or expensive - the food is just that good!
The ambience in this place is good. And the food is delicious .. The waiters are nice and they take utmost care to serve customers.. There is also reservation option available here..
Food and service both ok but bit pricey
Great food and great service. One member of our party had a food allergy and they were very accommodating. I highly recommend a visit here for a date night or group gathering.
(I do not consider an expert in Indian food, even if I really like it) I went there once alone and second time with friends. Had a great time, great food. Good portions. On certain days, I suggest you make a reservation.
This is my absolute favorite Indian restaurant. Of you want more authentic food, youll have to drive 25 miles south to Little India. Lamb vindaloo is A+. Who am I kidding? Everything here is absolutely delicious. Quick tip: make reservations. This place fills up fast.
Beautiful interior, fair prices, delicious food, and very friendly and attentive staff.
This spot always delivers. They serve excellent food for affordable pricing, there is no waiting time even when the spot is full.
Variety of intense flavors, from spicy to sweet. Calm and thoughtful atmosphere.
Pretty good Indian food. Tikka masala and kurma. Thanks!
Food was amazing! Customer service was excellent! plates and entrees are small, but fill you up . Price is fair, but expect a long wait. Oh and dont forget to make a reservation.
Got dragged here on a surprise date, good thing I was dressed nice and so was she. The food was great, really great actually. I assumed they would hold back so I ordered my meal spicy level 10, they didnt hold back a bit.
Totally recommend their lamb kabob. One of the best Ive had in a long time. Come hungry!
This place just opened up in our neighborhood. We went for dinner during their soft opening. The food was fantastic, the service was very friendly and prompt. I really appreciated the fact that they had a childrens menu. It gave our youngest (a very picky eater) a gentler introduction to Indian cuisine. Well certainly be making this one of our regular places, but next time we wont order quite so much food. Gotta leave room for Carmelas ice cream, which is just across the street!
Tried it for the first time at Lunch food is good but you dont get enough food for how much you pay. I got the shrimp and only 4 pieces came with it. And I spent $14.50. Not dining there again..
Some of the best Indian food around. The service is amazing. The interior is lovely. The meat platter is delicious. Food is served family style.
Chicken tikki masala, traditional naan & basmati rice 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤 get that and your life will be complete. But seriously great food and nice staff just a tad pricey
After receiving a menu and placing an order for take out, I was told the prices were incorrect and they charged me more. Most unfortunate as that was my first and last order!
Delicious Indian food and very good service I love their food !!!
Awesome as ever. Love this place and when ever in town eat here. Namaste😇 🌻💞 🙏
We enjoyed our first visit very much. Definitely will return to sample other dishes like the Lentils... Cant wait...
Incredibly amazingly beautiful environment, delicious food, the waiter and Santo were exceptionally helpful, and nice. Their service was great. Thanks so much.
The customer service is always fast, good atmosphere, super friendly employees. I will visit again when I get here.
Amazingly authentic Indian good and a very relaxing and comfortable atmosphere, I highly recommend this place.
Really great food and staff !
This was our first experience with Indian food. Its interesting and different. We would go back, particularly for the Samoas. Wonderful server and comfortable atmosphere.
I am one of their regular clients because of their delicious foods
Great choices for GF! A very nice calming setting with great food and a great staff. I went here twice on my visit and enjoyed it greatly.
This place never fails us..if you like complex flavors complementing each other that trigger ☺ signals in your brain, you have to try the food. It is The Best Indian food place.
Their service is top notch. The food is great. Parking is tight in the evening.
We love this place. Great gluten free options and service is the best.
This place is a little bit expensive for the type of food and location of the restaurant but we were pleasantly surprised with the food - it tasted better than expected. Its pricey but its one of the better Indian restaurants around town. You should try the Kale Salad with Tandoori Shrimps, if youre on a particular diet. Or you can go for it and try their Chicken Tikka Masala, Tandoori Lamb Chops, Tandoori Seafood Platter, or Coconut Lamb Curry.
Great service and delicious food. Chicken marsala was bomber!
Food was fantastic, great attention to the flavor and preparation. I did take out , but they did great with the small space they have to work with in there as well. New go to Indian spot!
Great Indian food! The staff is amazing and knowledgeable. We recently forgot to make reservations and wait was an hour so remember to call in!
They make me wait more than 30 min from their expected delivery time.
