Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and very tasty French food and wines. I had the quiche with spinach and goat cheese, which was quite excellent. Oh and did I mention the yummy crepes flambés for dessert?

Lovely as ever, amazing food, great drinks and perfect personnel. Prices also haven’t changed/increased after Covid, loved that!

The cafe is in a central location and easily accessible for students. I ordered a croissant and asked if it was made in-house. The so called croissant that they gave me was an insult to all frenchmen and definitely not suitable for a cafe named Francais. I was looking forward to an authentic piece of french bakery and was let down. I hope this will change in the future. In the picture you can see the croissant that i was unable to eat.

Great atmosphere like at home. Big Menü choice and the best Schnitzel in Wien. The father and his son taking care about you and your evening.

The food was pretty good but the service was pretty terrible. The staff is incredibly unfriendly. Furthermore, since the kitchen is located in the upstairs area which is also the smoking area, the door that divides the smoking from the non-smoking is constantly open, resulting in a more smokey are and a little less smokey area. We were sitting close to the stairs and there was a pretty strong breeze coming in from somewhere so we had to put on scarves.

Nice french cafè/restaurant. They have variety of French oriented dishes and desserts. It could be overcrowded during weekends or rush hours but usually you can squeeze in somewhere. It is especially nice in the summer when all the windows are open and you can enjoy beautiful view at Votivkirche just opposite it.

Nice place for breakfast. Portions are huge for kids. Dishes are a bit on the rich side with cream and sugar added to yogurts for example. Overall a good place for a stop with an excellent views of the Votiv church across the street.

The food was really delicious and worth to give it a try. I have ordered the Moroccan soup and a salad with leek and smoked salmon. It was really good and I didnt regret about it. Also I had problems with the WiFi connection and wanted to see the world cup. So the staff suggested a help and rebooted a router for me, after that the connection was quite good :) in addition to a good service and nice food you will get a great view to the Votivkirche church. So I would highly recommend this place to everyone.

Bad food but a nice ambiance. The price you pay here is not for the food. Its a nice location with fancy looking plates. Unfortunately the ingredients are neither fresh nor of good quality. As you can see on the picture i had the vegetables from two days ago (they were closed the day before we where there) and my wife got fresher ones. The bread tastes just cheap. Like the cheese and the ham. Only thing worth mentioning something positive is the egg. It was cooked perfectly. I asked the manager why they serve old stuff and her only reaction was to deny it. She left angry after i told her the ham looks like it was lying around for some days. So i must be right.If you care more about ambiance than about every thing else it maybe is the right place for you. If you care about good food with fresh ingredients worth the price this is the wrong place.

Always go for the salad cafe français. It‘s my go to with mango, pine nuts, chicken and avocado.

Great breakfast, nice location, great view outside. Interior also very pleasent, great place for breakfast. We had tea/coffee and Bel Mondo breakfast. And I was supprise how big they were. You will not get out of there hungry. Local is quite spacious, with 2 floors.

Atmosphere is awesome, place looks very nice and cozy however the food was sub par. I was very disappointed when I ordered an Ham Egg Benedict with an extra egg and the plate came ice cold. The poached eggs were both cooked on the inside and the “oven warm croissant” I ordered came cold as well.

A very nice place with tasty food and a very good coffee. Great breakfast options and also good lunch menu.It is often fully booked, especially on Saturdays, so you should definitely reserve (by phone or online reservation).The only problem is that you will almost always need to sit next to someone else, so there is not much privacy.

Always liked this place for their Cafe Fracais salad! Amazing.Rude manager, my Wife entered the place with our baby asking for a table for two, the guy said there are none! only outside. I enter the place and see there are plenty of free tables. I take it some kind of prejudice from this manager! We got a choice of three tables simple by talking to a different person.- waiter.The waiter was lovely and patient. I take my reviews and judgment seriously and honestly, hence I do mention things for what they are.

Felt like Ethiopian but it was closed so settled for French. The location and ambience cinched this place for me as I really wanted to just chill and people watch with the Votive Church within view. The menu is broad and one will easily find something that appeals.

Food was good, short waiting time. The waiter who took the order was very unfriendly (a bit older already and big belly) but all the young waiters were really friendly!

Nice bright space near public transportation. Balanced menu & great service even though it was hustle & bustle. I ordered the sardines, they were very nice. We shared the warm chocolate cake- our patience paid off.Non-smoking on the entry level, but smoking allowed upstairs.

Worms in our salad. Both of them. And normally i really liked this place. Cooks arent wearing any masks as well and they didnt really care when we returned our food, just bad.

Great place for a cozy dinners with friends or romantic dates. Make sure you book a table next to the window to enjoy the view over Votivkirche😉

This full service Cafe has beautiful views of the park and church, their extensive menu is reasonably priced and based on French cuisine. The food was excellent and tasted farm fresh. The facilities were clean and well adorned however the chairs were a little weak

Great food and finr choice of beers and wines (though I missed actual French beers on the menu) ; good service. The only criticism is that we had to wait for 15 minutes to get our reserved table (and no bonus was offered). Overall a satisfactory experience.

Good food for the price. Cosy place with wobbly chairs and tables. Good place for family and kids. We were there for almost three hours without any issues from staff.In one occasion two placed orders did not come into the table on time. This was later rectified.

Absolutely horrible staff and cafe !! Not only did they force us give a tip, I can’t believe the way in which we were spoken too. If I could give them 0 stars I would! The food was just ok. However, I am giving them only one star because of how bad the service was. When paying the bill the server mentioned that the tip wasn’t included in the price of the food. My boyfriend didn’t understand what he said and gave him just enough money for the check. Another server came over and told me that it was very rude not to tip and wanted to remind me it’s not included in the price. I really don’t appreciate being harassed for a tip when it was simply a misunderstanding and if they are so worried about it they should include it in the bill. She was extremely disrespectful. Save your money and eat somewhere that has better service and better food!!!!

A lovely restaurant in a great location. The value for money is truly great. The only thing I would say is that the toilets were an absolute state for a restaurant of its calibre.

Cafe seemed nice. Met by a nice waiter who offered us English menu. Food was good. Then my hysbahu asked the waitress for another glass of water. Were still waiting for that. Asked another waitress for the bill. Waited....and waited. Finally, as we had somewhere else to be, we went inside to pay. Got told had to pay our outside waitress. After explaining we tried, we managed to pay and be on our way. Worst service ever so far in Europe.

The location was nice, however when we came they didn’t have any breakfast food available and said we had 3 mins to order it. When we asked for an omelette, the waiter rolled her eyes and left without saying anything. After we got our food and were ready to pay, another waiter was also very rude and rolling her eyes when we asked to split the bill. So rude and unprofessional. Food wasn’t good either, very overrated.

The food was horrible, - the service annoyingHad tabuoleh and falafel as starter, the tabuoleh was bulgur with a few traces of some kind of green leaves - and maybe a chopped piece of onion and it was dry - dry like - yes dried up bulgur.. Then the falafels.. - small even more dried up balls.. no taste at all, - or it have vanished due to way too many preheats or too long time in a oven.. - like the supposedly fried potatoes in the main dish - they seems to have been in the oven for hours. The main dish, chefs recommendation, file mignon, with fried potatoes and haricots verts and half a tablespoon pepoersauce. The filets was fried dead.. completely Grey inside and dry like the potatoes, if really squeeced you could get a tone of rosa. Together with the as good as not existing peppersauce this dish was as dry as the starter, partly better because the haricots verts was boiled and not steamed - way too boiled, but that brought some kind of moist to the dish. Dessert, - chocolate mousse - was nothing mousse like.. - more like a chocolatefromage.. - with taste and consistent like something from Dr. Otcker.The service was annoying - every 10.th.minute someone came by and asked if the delicious food tasted.. - always syncroniced with that you had something in your mouth trying to produce enough moist to be able to swallow, so that you wasnt able to answer. Plates and glasses was constantly removed from the table even if people wasnt finished.When asking for the bill and again when paying, the waiter kept pointing out that tips wasnt included..So overall a big disappointment as we got the place recommended... - perhaps it was a too busy evening.

Really nice little cafe, relaxed atmosphere with outdoor tables at the sidewalk. Prices are fine and the filet steak was unexpectedly one of the best I had in the city, including a very nicely done salad with excellent dressing! Also the coffee was very good.

Food was too salty: famous onion soup was purely salt, moules frites as well. Quiche was also too salty and not baked through. So, nothing tasted French at all... Tables are made of wood (with no sanding) and from some of the holes were bugs climbing out.Atmosphere is actually nice, but the food and sanitary are far away from good.

Nice Café with great dishes that have a French touch

Average french food. Good service. Nice atmosphere for the somewhat upscale, hipper and chicer crowd. You can sit on the street, next to the passing cars to get a more urban, Parisian feeling.

Place is amazing. Service is beyond expectations, food is delicious and looking great. Prices are affordable.For people with some relax schedule there breakfasts with wine or champagne.This spot also near few sightseeing as University and Volkschurch, near tram hub and underground, from here also short walk to u3.So, great food, amazing service, architectural sightseeing spot, hub for transport. Also the sightseeing buses stop is nearby near the church. So you can start, ir hopon/off here.Many reasons to visit this place. Like my review if it helps, live a tip in the place if you like it.

They have a good coffee and really nice dishes. The service is fast and friendly and the space is quite comfy and cozy. But its a little expensive to eat there.

The food is absolutely delicious, havent enjoyed eating out that much in a long time. Everything from the staff, ambience, drinks and food was completely statisfactory.Its pricey, but quality comes from a price!
