This is very old temple. As per local people it traces back to Ramayan. Story of temple in short is when Rama was searching Sita & he was in very sad mood. Parvati met Rama here as Sita, however Rama recognise her as Ma Parvati. He requested her to go back (parat ja/ mage fir) & in local it comes Firangai.this temple is very old & King from Phaltan Sambhaji Raje Naik Nimbalkar renovated it in year 1760. Another beaty of this place is two big temples of same goddess are at one place with distance of hardly 500 meters , one is on hill & other is just at base of hill. Such thing is very rare.both temples are big. Both temples has many old buildings & many small temples within premises. Renovations are on at both places. You can see old construction with new support. Visit to these temples is wort for devotees, history lovers, temple lovers & all.

Its an one of the important temple in Maharashtra with great history and culture , very large area of temple also very fresh and great temple , two temples are there behind each other.

This temple have significant cultural influence on Hindu community. This temple is called firangai mata temple. Which is build in two places. One temple is on the Hill. And another one is at the kurkumbh village. Both the temples are having good infrastructure. This Temples are connected together with the stairs.
