A tranquil place surrounded by the dense forest of rhododendron, oak and cedar trees at the top of the mountain of champawat city. There is a beautiful temple of Mata Hingla Devi also known as the gramy devi of champawat citizens and kul devi of chand dynasty. The temple is easy accessible by road about 7 km from champawat main market. And a beautiful tracking track of about 5 km from champawat. Form here you can see the serene beauty of himalaya, dense forest and champawat city.

Champawat Maa Hingla Devi Temple, located in the top peak of the district headquarters, has a different recognition. The priests of the temple are the Pandyas of the Kulpurohit Pavet village of the Chand dynasty king.Priest Girish Pandey states that Chand came here with the king before the seventh century and he was recognized by the king as Vyasa Guru. In a dream, mother Bhagwati appeared and said that along with her power in the top peak, the swing is also buried inside the ground. Mother gave orders to build a temple here in her dream. According to this, the excavation of the mothers place of power and the remains of the swing were seen here. The temple was established by law and Vyasa Gurus brother was placed as a priest in the village of Pavet near the temple. Since then this place started being worshiped as Shakti Sthal. By worshiping here, along with Riddhi-Siddhi, Devi has been fulfilling the wishes of the children of the couple. They said that from this place the mother used to swing the swing (hingla) till the Bhagwati Akhilatharini peak. For this reason, this place is called Hingla Devi. In Navaratri festival, devotees throng here. Not only the district but from other parts of Kumaon also come here and fulfill their wishes. The shape of Champawat is made on the rockThe Shakti Sthal established in the temple of Maa Hingladevi has its own specialty. The sculpture of Champawat is seen in the Shaktipind here. Which people consider to be a painting of nature. The wish of each one is fulfilled in K Dham. This temple has remained the center of the faith of devotees due to the fulfillment of the wishes of the childless couple with Riddhi-Siddhi.There are three deer in HingladeviThere are now three deer in the Hingladevi temple. Those whose names are Sati, Gauri, Ravi. These three are still quite small and now they have gone to ghettos as devotees caressed them. The Mahant of the temple, Sri Sri 1008 Shri Digambar Ashok Giri Ji Maharaj Ji explains that the blessings of the mother are always there to protect the people. The worship of the devotees with true mind is definitely fulfilled
