Seriously disappointing menu and woefully overpriced. This place is all show and no go. It’s an exceptionally well designed and decorated dining room and the service is very good, but that’s all you’re getting and you’re expected to overpay for it at that. The cocktails were completely uninspiring. Nearly every drink is a rebranded classic that you could have easily ordered off menu. The only interesting drink on the menu is priced at $22 as if existing in some kind of alternate reality. I didn’t even bother with it.The same can be said of the food. Dull, uneventful dishes of meager portions and costing a small fortune. This place seems to be completely ignorant of the restaurant competition in Palm Springs. Avoid it at all costs.

I originally stayed here in 2018 and I really enjoyed my stay. However, the hotel needed a lot of tlc. The hotel has recently been renovated and is under new management so I thought I’ll dine at the restaurant while I was visiting PS and check the renovation out as well. The hotel has been beautifully transformed bringing out its original character, so I was really excited to have dinner at the restaurant the moment I stepped on the grounds. The menu however was extremely disappointing, choices were extremely limited and they were not many vegetarian options. Bread and butter was under the appetisers section which I thought it was funny and all main courses were priced above 30 dollars. For the prices (which felt more like I was dinning in LA rather than PS) I would have excepted for the food to be “Michelin-star” amazing, but it was below average. My check for a drink and a main course came up to 80 dollars! Highly recommend Mr Lyons over this… wasn’t even worth 30 dollars! pretty amazing cocktails though. Highly recommend coming for the ambiance and the drinks.

Stopped by for drinks before dinner. We were able to snag some seats at the bar. We had the Purple 86, the nineteen thirty six, and the Chita Rivera. All the drinks were really good. Have to say I was partial to my Chita Rivera - jalapeño infused tequila. Alex was our bartender - relatively new to the area but made great drinks. The dinner menu looked great but we already had reservations elsewhere. Took some pics outside of the pool scene which looked super cool. Good location / proximity to town. Will have to stay for a night and have dinner. 👍🏻👍🏻

We went on Saturday for lunch and it took an hour to get food. And all tables around us got frustrated and complained due to late serving. There was even one table left without paying for their drinks as they waited for 45 min for their food and asked for a manager to come and somehow they couldn’t get hold of a manager, so left the restaurant. Many servers kept saying sorry for the delay to almost all tables around us. Not only the long waiting but also they brought wrong food and then later cocktails that we didn’t order so it’s messy all over. Understand the staff shortage these days but it would’ve been smart and nice if it was informed at the very beginning so that customers can expect the delay. Food was ok!

It is quintessential Palm Springs with exemplary staff, brand new decor, with a baby grand piano and poolside view. The new Chef is incredible, only sourcing items from the local organic farms.

We had a fantastic dinner here tonight. Food was great, ambience was great. But what was special was a new Bus Boy called JR, hustling to make his way to server. So attentive, so focused on ensuring we were taken care of, and we had everything we needed to have a great dinner. Amazing energy. Great brand ambassador for the restaurant, but most importantly someone that deserves the chance at the next level. He made our night special.

The ambiance is lovely. How can you not adore staring to one of San Jacinto glorious faces from the patio. Poolside service is also available if one still wants drinks or snacks after the main dining 🍽. Another great perk of being a guest at the hotel. Pools, views, and an experience to remember.

Skip the food, mediocre at best. Table service (which doesn’t not include the rather morose host), however was amazing! From the bread to the butter to the steak, flavor seemed to be a 6 letter word because it wasn’t present throughout the meal. The decor is worth a few drinks, as well as the service, but at $50 for a steak I would have loved at least a little salt and pepper so it had taste and a cut not sponsored by Rubbermaid.

We called for a reservation. We were told originally there’s nothing until 11 o’clock. We asked if there was anything earlier and were told eight or 830 they could save a table. When we arrived there were at least 10 table empty plus if there was nobody there to see us we had to go find somebody. We finally got seated poolside ordered coffee and juice asked if we wanted to menu we said yes and they brought us one menu to share. My husband and I ordered different meals. When the meals arrived in a timely manner they were exactly the same except for the potatoes. My meal said it came with hash. Their version of hash yes potatoes with brussels sprouts. My husband‘s details were grilled and we both asked for eggs over easy which came out quite firm. We have a hard time trying to get a salt and pepper shaker which we finally did plus my husband and order the third egg which she did not get finally came out and it was over hard. We were never offered a refill on coffee Orange juice. We used to eat here at this restaurant under the previous owner and never had a problem. Granted they have only been operating under the new ownership since March 1 and I will actually give them a pass because I am a former restaurant tour. I will say it was a decent breakfast but not worth $50 for the two of us.

Kicked off our week in Palm Springs with brunch here, and we were not disappointed! The patio is chill, with a relaxed, take-your-time vibe. The huevos rancheros were truly the best Ive ever had and the prickly pear bellini was delightful. Critical to the experience was the service - the folks working here truly know how to deliver a five-star experience. Everything about it was elegantly executed and friendly without being intrusive. Thank you for a lovely brunch.

So delicious! With views of a fabulous pool, misted through sunny skies and impressive Art Deco surrounding inside, the food was an innovative approach to a classic meal. It’s like what you want in a meal- bread, salad, entree dessert but reimagined with fresh, on trend ingredients that food lovers will not consider old school at all! Five stars for food, atmosphere and service...sprinkled with a touch of interesting people watching. Loved it!

The food of this place used to be amazing. The new administration is so disappointing. We ordered the vegetable soup and it came out cold, tasteless, the forgot the spoon and then brought us the biggest spoon they could find for a very tiny bowl. Butter wasn’t good either. Please please for the love of God! Fire your chef and hire someone more qualified. Not even a can soup was so bad as the one we had today. Not coming back.

The starter was delightful, and dinner was chicken cordon bleu and lamb shank. We had the brownie which was just right. I had a lovely wine and my wife had a Pinot Noir which she loved. Overall, very good and better than what I expected. Their fresh Sourdough bread is just awesome. We ordered two servings because its made in house and comes out warm and beautiful. The food quality is very good. Top to bottom are Gazpacho soup, Beet Salad, Grilled Tombo Tuna, Pork, Passionfruit Sorbet and Strawberry Shortcake. It received only 4 stars because they need to up their presentation just a bit and there is a lot of competition restaurant-wise to be considered 5 star.. Sorbet was served very plain for example and many places serve a beet salad, gazpacho, or pork. I would go back. Service was very good.

Service was exceptional during a Saturday night dinner considering the party of fifteen loud and rowdy lushes traveling back and forth from our table to the bar. Small menu of fun cocktails and a double-sided page of wines by the glass or bottle. The food was mediocre. First time at the Purple Palm but certainly wont be our last! We started with a cocktail and I sure would recommend the purple gang the drink with float of pinot noir was so pretty in presentation and so tasty! Our group tried about everything on the menu from the starters to main dishes and we found the dishes very creative and quite tasty. The house made ricotta gnocchi with wild mushrooms was so wonderful. The chickpea fries yum yum! The roasted beet salad..loved the hazelnut touch. House made tagliatelle so, so good and loved the whole cloves of roasted garlic in it. The fish lover in the group said the pan roasted salmon was excellent. The zaatar roasted baby carrots just wonderful. The prosciutto wrapped pork tenderloin was so tender and such a great flavor. I could go on....😊 Thank you chef! We will see you again soon!

Lovely setting, we sat by the pool. Coffee was good, everyone enjoyed their meal. My only complaint is, with a hotel and restaurant of this caliber, that the tomatoes were terrible. They were light orange and waxy. I ordered them as a side. Either the chef or the server should have made the call that the tomatoes were substandard and not served them. Other than that, everything was delightful.
