Technocity is a technology park an under construction integrated township in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India dedicated to electronics, software, and other information technology (IT). South Indias largest World Trade Centre is coming here with total build up area of 2.5 million sqft and Worlds fifth Nissan Global Digital Hub campus also coming here. It was conceived in 2005 as the fourth phase of development of Technopark, Technocity is a complete IT City, spread across about 500 acres (200 hectares), which includes not just space for IT/ITES firms but also residential, commercial, hospitality, medical and educational facilities. The project is a new self-dependent satellite city, which would not strain the resources and infrastructure of the city of Thiruvananthapuram

Technocity is proposed as the 4th phase of expansion of Technopark, Trivandrum. 460 acres of land was acquired in 2008 - 09 on either side of NH - 66 between Pallipuram and Mangalapuram 20 kms north of Thiruvananthapuram City for this project. Unfortunately, due to lack of basic infrastructure and the relatively large distance from the City, the expected level of development has not taken place here despite lapse of 10 years since acquisition of land.Expecting rapid development, large parcels of land were allotted to TCS (110 acres) and Inforsys (50 acres). The thinking was that these two anchor clients will set up large campuses, driving the development of Technocity. But with the general downturn in the IT Industry, both Companies went slow on their development plans in Technocity, rather focusing more on developing their campuses in Technopark Phase I and Technopark Phase II respectively. Infosys has written to the State Government, informing their willingness to return the land.Presently, only a small campus of Suntec (10 acres) development centre and two educational institutions - Asian School of Business (ASB) and IIITMK - are developed / under development. It is expected that the Kerala Government will be able to attract other Companies to set up operations in this sprawling area
